I have had several issues with things I've purchased and they refuse to take returns even if the product was broken or food disgusting and bad. I bought sheets with the wrong fitted sheet and they will see if they had one to swap out but they would not take the return if they didn't have one to replace the fitted sheet. And then the manager asked what was going on and as I'm explains repeated tells me to calm down. I have a respirator issue (not contagious) so I have to talk louder to be able to talk. I told him repeatedly I wasn't upset but it was hard for me to talk. So rude. The staff also made comments to each other like "you'll love this." Like I'm being insane. I've worked in customer service for years and this was awful. I'm no idiot. I can see the rolling eyes and looks they have me and eachother. I'd im spending over $50 on sheets I would like the correct size on the label. You've definitely lost a customer and I will make sure my friends and family know how terrible this place is and they will not honor their products whatsoever. read more

This place has a no return policy for a reason, if you are going to buy something from them, make sure you check it very thoroughly. People most likely come to this place because they don't have the money to buy something brand new, and the liquidation team takes advantage of those people. I purchased a hose box for $45 to save a few bucks buying it brand new. Well to my surprise when I got it home I realized it was completely compromised, the plastic hose adapter inside was snapped right off, not fixable. GARBAGE. The fact that it was even on the shelf in their store listed for that much money makes me sick to my stomach. It's not worth $45, it's worth $0. Last week, my aunt lost her husband and was obviously a devastating loss for friends and our family to lose a kind-hearted soul who went out of his way to help people. The following quote came from my aunt Summer's Facebook and was asked to spread awareness of the lack of empathy and professionalism of this establishment. A man came to fix, but said it wasn't fixable, but that he had a refurbished dryer I could have. I was grateful. Unfortunately, that dryer didn't work. My sister, out of the goodness of her heart went to The Liquidation Team in Orem and bought the exact model of dryer I had. It was refurbished. The signs and receipts said all sales final. We took the dryer home and it didn't work. They had a 90 day guarantee, but that involved loading the dryer up and taking it back and picking it back up again. I was exasperated with just trying to get clean clothes. I couldn't deal with taking a dryer back to The Liquidation Team to wait on them fixing my dryer. I decided to plead my case with the owner and try to get my sister her money back. This is where the human and business world collide. The owner, Corey and his manager, Matt were horrible. I'm not sure why this place has so many negative reviews. I recently saw an ad on KSL for dumbbells and a rack. I've been looking for a well-priced option and this was it. I sent the Liquidation Team and email that night and by morning they'd replied. I called them to find out if I could pay for the item ahead of time (because it was new) but was told that unfortunately, I couldn't. I called them multiple times that day with different questions. Everyone was so polite and helpful. I was at work and couldn't head over there immediately to purchased the set. I was finally able to figure out an early lunch and called them to say I was heading over and to find out if the item was still there. Larry offered to save the item for me for an hour, since I was driving there from the Draper/Sandy area. Once I got to the store, a lady was super helpful. Wish I'd gotten her name. She was funny and patient. She opened each box and showed me each dumbbell and then checked to make sure the screws for the rack were in the box too. She then loaded the boxes on to a cart (NOT an easy task even with the 2 of us doing it because the weights themselves weighed 210lbs). She even helped me load the items into my car. Has a lot of items for a good price but be aware that some of the open box items might have some issues. I bought a faucet from here that had a leak issue right out of the box that I had to get fixed. It was an easy enough fix so I didn't bother with returns - just be aware that not all items are in perfect condition when you get them. read more

I will tell you why the ratings for this store is so bad.. Terrible place to shop and very poor customer service. I purchased a Mr. Coffee. No one told me to open the box and take a look and inspect and even test out the coffee maker before leaving. They do NOT tell you what is used, refurbished or New.. they make it seem like your buying something new. The cashier who took my money said there was no refunds but if something was wrong with it you could within 7 days come back. Well I got home and opened the coffee machine and it had used coffee and grounds in the machine. I didn't even want to test it I went back to the store the next day to show them and they did not care at all. In fact there was a Larry Mota or Moto that acted like a manager and said its as is tough luck. All I asked is for me to to exchange the unit and they would not allow it. When I'm trying to show them the product he got impatient and told me to leave the store or he would call the Police for me trespassing. This is terrible customer service sure all over $18. He even went as far to say I was yelling at customers and being unruly.. Really? I went to other customers that was right next to me to be a witness to the event when the Police arrive. I did wait patiently talked to the Police, had the customers testify that they saw nothing of the kind as far as what the manager was trying to accuse me of. I have shopped this store before no problems. But why would they not just exchange this item? BUYER BEWARE OPEN IT PLUG IT IN MAKE SURE IT WORKS BEFORE EVER LEAVING THE STORE.. I HAVE contacted my credit card company for a dispute. The Police agreed with me but they told me that the store has a right to refuse anyone. So be it... I am so grateful for Renae and the liquidation team! We recently bought a house and moved in about 2 weeks after closing escrow. When the house was empty, the power was off. During that time the ice melted in the fridge/freezer and we had water damage on the floor. After contacting the manufacturer, we found out the flooring was discontinued. We were so disappointed. We searched for our flooring everywhere and every few months we would search again. We finally found an active listing on KSL classified and contacted the liquidation team. They went above and beyond for our small order. They had one box of our discontinued flooring which was perfect to repair the water damage. We offered to pay for the shipping and they shipped it to us!! They communicated with us every step of the way. They emailed when they received our payment and again with shipping updates. We received our box today and we are so excited to have found our discontinued flooring!!! Thank you again for going above and beyond for such a small order! Some of the past reviewers seem a little confused as to why they were even there...I'm not sure why you would come here without something to buy in mind, but I guess some people like to do that. I came here off a recommendation from a friend. He had recently picked up a fancy touchless garbage can with a sensor lid. I moved and needed a new garbage can for my kitchen, so I thought I'd try finding one here. I found a great one for $30 that is in great condition, works perfectly, and is on other sites (amazon) for $70+. Obviously you should use some common sense while you're here and make sure the items work as they are generally returns. They have a 2 day return policy and will usually test it for you there if you ask them to. Don't go buying something that doesn't look sanitary, or isn't what you want (as it seems the other reviewers considered doing). Overall it's a decent place to pick up something for a good price. read more

Horrible customer service. Rude and not willing to help. I got a space heater for my child's room and they guarantee electronics to only work 7 days. It stopped heating and even lighting up after 3 or 4 days and then I try to exchange and they say they can't do anything. They were rude about it. I would never spend money here again. Why is this place not rated higher? Liquidation is a GOLD MINE of surprises. For those who don't understand the concept of Liquidation Team: they are literally liquidating products that are returns or overstock or random hauls they purchase off big box stores. They buy at cheap prices and therefore can sell for cheap prices. Some food items are near expired, purchase at your own risk. But you can buy some serious spices for really cheap. Some stuff can be beat up and used, but again, a lot of their items are returns. You can get really expensive Costco items for more than half off. I've bought a two-piece Delsey hard shell luggage here for $90 and it was BRAND NEW. You just got to pick and choose. Scour for the new packages and be aware you get what you pay for when you take a risk. I also have a crock pot from there that was essentially brand new and works perfectly. My boyfriend bought DESIGNER jeans for like $12. Seriously, just know what you're getting into and your experience perspective changes. Most recently, our experience there was THROUGH THE ROOF excellent. They have seriously upped their customer service game. In the span of the hour we were there, we were attended by 4 different sales people making sure we got the help we needed. They've also recently updated their return and exchange policy so it's more customer friendly. They keep your information in their system to make looking up receipts easier. Overall, you can tell they are really trying to make improvements. ABSOLUTELY give this place a chance. read more

My husband and I tried to buy a couch from them and the day we tried to pick it up (2 days after he purchase) one of their employees sold it to another person. We tried to speak to the manager, then the owner to see if they could get us another couch and he said "no, sorry, it's the costumers fault not ours. Tags get removed by them and it's their fault." So basically no accountability, blame the costumer (because that's what great business do!) and be completely unreliable. I will never shop at the Liquidation Team in Orem, UT again. It used to be my "go to" store for deals, the perfect find, and wedding gifts. I recently purchased a coat. I brought the coat home, took off tags and ran it through the wash to get rid of that store smell. It totally disengaged in my washing machine. Ruined my entire wash load. I took what was left of the coat back to store the next day. Employee told me I had washed it so not their problem. I didn't even have the coat for 24 hours. Employee would not exchange it. I asked for the manager, she looked around at the other employee's working then turned to me and said, "I am the manager," Took her about 5 minutes to come to that conclusion. I will tell all my family and friends not to shop at this store. When you pay for a product, you expect to use it and you expect it to last more than a few hours. Watch out for what you buy at the liquidation team store. They have signs in the store saying not to open the boxes and sometimes they will tell you if it works or has a defect or something is missing , however I bought a fan that said it had a remote it didn't and when I brought it back the next day to find one with a remote they would not exchange it. Everything has been returned from somewhere and most everything has a defect or a flaw or doesn't work. If you don't absolutely verify everything before you leave the store you'll get burned and they don't care they will not help you and they will not exchange anything. My recommendation is that you just go to Costco and buy it because it's not much more to pay the full price and get the warranty with an item . read more

This store is so confusing. I don't know what it means. I don't know where or what they get their stuff. Is it used? Is it like a garage sale? I assume from the name that everything is liquidated and they get it discounted and sell it discounted, but WHY DOES IT ALL LOOK SO USED? Like stains and crappy handwriting on bottles and stuff. If it's all liquidated, shouldn't there just be minor breaks/wear&tear that they couldn't sell it in normal stores? I don't know. Maybe I'm not sure what liquidation means... I was interested in maybe buying a coffee pot there when I move, and maybe a Brita water pitcher ($12-15 and $28-30, respectively) but thats it. I don't know. Like many others, I have been burned by their questionable business practices. Many of their products are from COSTCO and other large stores. Some products are returns. I purchased 3 pairs of reading glasses. Two had hidden damage were not usable. I'm not sure they were aware of the damage but their non return policy means I now have two pairs of ruined glasses. Had to make a stop to donate items at a thrift store and called them to let them know I would be 20 minutes later than the anticipated arrival time. They told me they could no longer hold the item. Then when I got here they told me the item was actually $100. Although it pulled up at $59 in their system the sticker said $100. Then they had to pull up the add and check with several managers all taking a long time to check out. One manager was obviously a failed disgruntled police officer, & a miserable soul... My experience with this business started off great, I called and asked to put an item on hold and the woman said they normally only hold items for 1 hour. I explained that the drive from my home would take a minimum of 1.15 hours and she kindly said she would hold it for me until I got there. After the 3 hour round trip I get home and plug in the blu ray player and immediately a popping noise starts coming from the speaker (which I've owned for over a year and not had any problems with) I called and the guy who answered was quite short with me saying there was nothing He could do unless I brought the item back. There is no way they did not know about this popping noise unless they didn't really test the product like they claim to do. I purchase used items all the time and an well aware of the risks that come along with it but dishonesty on the part of the seller is always wrong. I will never but anything from liquidation team again. There are plenty of reputable businesses out there that care about more that making their quick dollar. When I went to install the shower head it was missing a part to connect it to the wall, and the toy didnt work. I came back 2 days later once I discovered the problems. They refused to make it right.
