We tried the Murray location thrift shop next. It's smaller than the DI. I'd the say they are overall pickier about the quality of the items they offer to the public than the DI. The prices are what you'd expect from a thrift store. Overall it was a good experience. More furniture related items than you typically see at the DI too with a smaller selection of clothes. But everything in the store was in decent shape. It's well organized. The lines move slowly. That might be its only drawback. I highly recommend this place.

Thousands of dollars now spent at Glovers each year due to my recommendation. Today I called to special order some flats of Lamium in the flower color I needed. They said they had 2 flats of the color I wanted in stock, so I went. I was genuinely shocked to find that the stock they referred me to was mostly or partially dead. How unprofessional is that to bring me out there for sickly product instead of letting me order something healthy? I only found four 4packs that didn't look dead or sick. When I went to check out I felt like I should pass along my experience to someone in charge. I requested a 50% discount on the only decent purple 4 packs I could find to offset my inconvenience of time and gas for making the trip based on what I was told they had. That was too demanding of a request by the logic of the manager. Told him I spend way too much money there to be treated like my years of loyalty don't matter. The manager pulled up my account and scoffed at the thousands I've spent, telling me that others spend more. Is this where we're at with Glovers? Are we only respecting the patronage of billionaires now? I told him I felt insulted by that, but he wearing his fighter hat and not his customer service hat, and literally told me he has no problem with the dead stock out there because people still buy them. Just wow. I feel like I'd be compromising my basic self-respect if I ever showed my face there ever again, so congratulations Glovers: you just lost a regular annual customer who was happy to spend thousands every single year (apparently an underwhelming dollar amount, as your manager says) because you could not admit a clear communication error, or discount a *teeny tiny* purchase as a gesture that you value me as a customer. Everything was riding on principle today. #FAIL. PS: I adore the cashier with long braids, and I've found every cashier to be nice and pleasant. I also have gratitude for the workers who have happily given the plants in my cart fresh water to ensure they didn't dry out while I shopped. Sad how one guy in charge with a chip on his shoulder can undo all those years of patronage.

I recently took my granddaughter to make a Lego race car and she got to keep the car. They do free gift wrapping. If you want even more fancier wrapping paper, there is a nominal charge, but I've always found that their free gift wrap is absolutely fine. Been there several times, but each time I always end up spending a long time looking at stuff and finding things I never saw before. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about their inventory and can come up with suggestions if you are looking for something in particular. Great for adults and kids! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. The class itself was fun-Lucas showed us different plant options as well as items to put at the bottom of our containers to provide drainage. I would have loved to have had more time with him to learn more about the specific plants, what goes well together and how to best care for them when we got home. But there were at least 20 people there, all with questions, so we did our best and had a great time! While we were there, we also perused the other products-specifically the produce-so we could eat some fresh fruit while we planted. The selection was fresh, and we took home raspberries, nectarines and apples-as well as a bottle of raspberry jam. I didn't see a TON of larger plants or things for the yard-most of what I saw was on the smaller side. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I'm sure we will be back as we grow our collection of indoor plants.

Staffing is rude and does not care to help customers with anything, or they pick and chose who they want to help and who they would rather not help. I was waiting in line to try clothing on with a gentlemen in front of me who was also wanting to try clothing on. After waiting for a few minutes (not to mention, the store was beyond slow and had 0 traffic aside from the gentlemen and I at the time of this incident)a female employee questioned the gentlemen in front of me if he would like to try on clothing. She then took him to 1 of the 10 open fitting rooms. Thereafter she came back and looked directly at me, patiently waiting for a fitting room with several clothing items in my hands. She completely ignored the fact that I had been waiting at least 15 mins in the same spot right next to the fitting rooms. She didn't even bother to ask me why I was waiting or if I was in need of any assistance. She instead began playing with her phone. I then asked her (cz she obviously wasn't planning on assisting me) if she would open a fitting room for me in which she responded with "I guess". I am not a person to complain or give negative feedback too often however at this point it deserves to be heard. I am a very understanding person. I know we are all human and we all make mistakes however this staff member didn't even bother to appologize nor attempt to explain why she had muted me out completely. She instead made a facial expression as if I was asking her too much. Should she had just explained why she was unable to help me and apologized I would have been completely okay with the situation but how she rudely reacted is not acceptable and completely disrespectful. I love shopping at uptown cheapskate however In result of this poor customer service I will never go back to this specific South Jordan location. I will let my voice be heard with this bad experience anytime I am questioned. read more

Loveeee this place!!! I accidentally came in close to closing time because I didn't know the hours, so I stayed a bit past closing, which I HATE doing having worked in retail before. The girls working were super nice about it and still made me feel so welcome. Ive noticed that a lot of retail places like this have bratty, apathetic employees, but not here!! The employees here are very kind and helpful. I also love that the store still smells good even though the clothes are second hand. My friend used to work here and says that the owner puts a ton of work into making the place the best it can be and it definitely shows! I highly recommend this store! read more

You never really know what you will find at a Preloved since each booth is filled with items from different sellers but that also makes it exciting since you will find things you never knew you wanted or needed. They run different sells throughout the week but the real deals start on Friday where most sellers will clearance their items anywhere from 25%-90%. It definitely gets busy on Friday mornings but all of the other times I have been it's been calm and quiet. I have heard mixed reviews about selling with Preloved but I do appreciate those that do put up booths because I usually find something when I shop here. Highly highly recommend.
