I always try to get here as early as possible on Saturday or Sunday morning. I don't need/want the samples and I can't stand to battle women with unruly children and shopping carts (a deadly combo!) when they get busy on the weekend afternoons. Our monthly trip staples include: Starbucks k-cups, wine, beer, whole chickens, butter, Vitamin water and regular bottled water. We probably spend more on the annual membership fee than we save here, but for some reason I just like having the membership. I love Costco! I got my tires here three years ago or so, and the tire guys have always been great. I also get my face wipes, tampons, gum, vitamins and dark chocolate here. I know, odd assortment of things, but those are things I DO buy in bulk as one person. Costco is also great if you are planning a dinner party. I recently got a 6 lb. hunk of prime rib for $45 which fed six people, easy. I also discovered Costco makes an AMAZING tres leches cake. Their version is a bit different; there are a couple of layers of cream in place of the sweetened milk but it is oh so delicious. Let's not forget the food court, either. Love the pizza and the hot turkey provolone sandwiches. They take cash only, but I think my brother mentioned once that if you show your receipt, they can just add on the food purchase to your receipt or something like that. I think the sandwiches are pre-made, though, which kind of blows because I don't really care for the amount of pesto mayo that they slather on the bread, no matter how tasty it is. Last time I ordered it, she had just grabbed a sandwich out of the oven(?) and wrapped it in foil for me. Good thing I didn't bother asking for "no mayo"? During my second to last trip, I bought a giant bottle of vitamins. In our haste in packing the car, we left said vitamins in the cart. My BF called customer service the next morning to tell them what happened. He spoke to Alicia, who said that normally items left in carts get stored in the warehouse till people call to claim them. She said she couldn't find my vitamins, but we could come into the store and ask for her, and she'd replace them for free. When we got there a few hours later, she had already left. But the gentleman working customer service still replaced them for us after we told him what Alicia said. He radio-ed to the people at the exit that a "guy wearing a blue shirt" had some vitamins and he was OK to leave the store. It made me laugh because it sounded like my BF was a suspect. This is easily my least favorite Costco location in Atlanta. Both the parking lot and the store itself are ridiculously chaotic. Cars and shoppers (with carts) make unexpected turns and stops and it always seems jam-packed. Both the self-serve and attended cashier lines take forever. On the plus side, the product selection is on par with other area Costcos and the staff is usually friendly. Go if you're in the area, but be prepared to be frustrated, especially if you're short on time. read more

I love Costco! I am a regular at this location and I love the way the staff greets me each time I visit. Most have been working here for a while and they recognize me every time. I truly feel like a valued customer here. The prices are already awesome but I receive regular coupons in the mail for items I buy often. I get great deals on everything from electronics to bottled water. It is definitely worth having a Costco membership. Buying in bulk saves you time and money. read more

Why is this 4 stars and not your average 3 stars? Is it cleaner? Is it less busy? Are the employees any friendlier? Well, my response to all of these questions is "no". They are actually very busy... And well, cleaner and friendlier are about the same as any other Costco. What really differentiates this Costco from others is that they target ethnic cultures and not your average Cauasian (white) American. So you want examples?? Well, there aren't too many Costcos around here that sell bul-go-gi (soy-marinated beef, a Korean dish), or chicken tikka masala (Indian dish)... In the refrigerated section... Or even Spam in bulk!! Koreans love spam. At least most Koreans... I can assure you that the Costco in Buford, GA and Dunwoody, GA do not have any of these as I frequent the other Costcos because my condo is in Xunwoody and my mom lives in Buford!! The Duluth location is packed like a zoo on the weekends, so if you could avoid the busy hours, you would do yourself a favor. I got my tires done here recently with an appointment. The job was done while shopping. Then a week later, I ran over nail. Brought the car back and Costco fixed it as part of the free flat repair program. The meat selection is massive, with good prices. I take one star off because they don't label the aisles, so you're have no idea where things are. A lot of time is wasted wandering the wherehouse trying to find an item. read more

My favorite thing about Costco is the food samples they offer regularly. You can probably find me along the aisle waiting for some sort of sample...probably 2x. No shame here---the food is delicious. More importantly, shopping at a discounted price is just a bonus. I usually go here for their frozen foods and their apple sauce (that come in packs of 3 huge jars). It's good to shop here if you've got a large family OR if your family eats everything relatively quickly OR if you have a huge fridge. When I'm on the go and looking for a quick meal, I also like getting their hot dog meal deal for $1.50...you get a medium soda with that too and all the fixings you want on the dog (onion, relish, mustard, ketchup, sauerkraut). For under $2, their berry sundae is great too. And their $1 churros...yum yum. As of late, the "discount" price on gas has been on par with QT, so you're not really saving anything here. read more

Did you know? Their meat is fantastic quality... and they're really well priced. They have boneless kalbi sliced or unsliced for $4-5/lb depending on what season it is. I usually cut up the unsliced into little cubes, stick them on kabobs, and grill them with teriyaki based marinade. It's so delicious with a couple of button mushrooms, onions, pineapple, and green onions. Yum! Their steaks are also fantastic. This is one of my favorite places to get 1.5 to 2 inch cuts of ribeye or tbone for really good prices. They're always tender as well! I remember having to go to whole foods to get these, but not anymore! I can find them here for cheaper without compromising the quality. They also have gigantic sea scallops for $10/lb. Um, you know the ones at whole foods for $18.99? Uh huh, they have them here but on average, I'd say theyre BIGGER & BETTER. If you have a membership, you should get them here -- and you dont have to buy like 4lbs (like the prepacked steaks). You can get as little or as many as you want. Their other stuff is also decently priced. I would say its a little bit lower than retail, but not by much. Another reason why I'm giving this place so many stars is bc of its food court. Polish sausage/hot dog combo (with drink) for $1.50? Even Wendy's $2.99 value menu can't beat that. I love their chicken bakes, their parfaits, their fruit breezy blends, their pizza. I haven't tried their churros, but I will next time. I love costco for their food and that's about all that I buy there. For everything else, you might want to try Walmart. read more

Navigation of the store is smooth; you can easily just browse for an hour or so, moving from one section to the next. I enjoy the demonstrations that result in free food. My parents are at work and they gave my sister and I their Debit card . We got 300$ worth of groceries and spent an hour and a half getting groceries . When we get to the front of the line we can't pay because the members Costco card doesn't match the name on the debit card. The F kinda S is that. We've never had an issue. . I can see that the attitudes of the employees haven't improved since I last came to this location. I don't know if CostCo in generally has implemented a new rule or what, but I was just chastised, not once, but TWICE, by 2 different employees (one at self-checkout, one at the regular checkout) for not having a membership card with me. I was recently given 2 separate cash cards, as gifts. Thus, I decided to use one today. I figured I didn't need to bring the membership card because THAT IS THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF HAVING A CASH CARD. No. I was told that I was not allowed to buy alcohol without the membership card... Okay, fine. Oh, but wait! I can't use the self-checkout because I didn't have a membership card, even though the oversized banner above my head claimed CASH CARDS WERE ACCEPTED. Why I did not leave everything there and immediately walk out, is beyond me. I proceeded to the "normal" checkout, and when I told the checkout person I only have the cash card with me, she just made an exasperated face and called another employee over, and went on and on about how I should just bring the membership card with me anyway, because the "new policy" states that cash cards are ONE TIME USE. That's right, ladies and gents, if your friend was kind enough to buy you a $100 cash card and you ONLY bought $86 (as I did), then say goodbye to the rest of your card. Their motto should say: Members welcomed, nonmembers can just f@#* off. I still give it 2 stars because the deals are truly good, despite everything else, and the REST of the employees are genuinely nice. I used to believe CostCo was far superior to other wholesale stores and that their customer service was incredible... Guess it's time to switch to Sam's Club. read more

2018 update: the customer service from various points-of-interaction is still hit or miss. I feel like a few employees are Sam's or Wal-Mart material but it is the closest Costco so I continue to visit this location. Big shout out to the girl in the food court who thinks "yes." Could be a relative of bon qui qui.) i've loved costco for years but this location has some employees that act like they work at another wholesale club with lower standards. why don't some ppl know that a customer generally has the right of way, or that they should anticipate a need on the sales floor? i noticed an elderly gentleman spill something and an employee seemingly ignored it. the member who spilled the liquid had to track down someone to clean it. he was a bit older and could have used the assistance of the first employee instead of making a journey around the warehouse. also: i've almost been run into by employees. i understand the wharehouse is busy but when the supervisor desk is jammed into the same hall leading to the bathroom, you gotta give customers room to walk instead of behaving as if we are in your way. it's a tight space but we shouldn't have to move out your way, even if u r helping another member. this all seems petty but i like costco because of it's high standards and company culture; let's at least keep the basics--give customers right of way (i always do where i work) and anticipate. granted not all at this location are like this, in fact i've encountered a few recently that are the opposite--very helpful and respectful. read more

I have been coming to this Costco for more than 10 years. I love Costco more than Sam's for their cheaper price and better service. Costco's pizza tastes better too. The only downside is that they offer Pepsi instead of Coke. I am satisfy with Costco very much and today I am just reviewing on the tire service center. Today, I've utilized their tire service for the first time. I called ahead and asked a lot of questions because I simply am clueless when comes to tires. The service guy was patience and answered everything I asked. I did my research and found out that Costco offers the best value for Michelin tires. I made an appointment so that I don't have to wait and the guy on the phone told me it'll be about 30mins since I'm making appts. Well, I came in and everything was fine but the impression I got was that an appointment was never made for me because the front counter guy is asking me the same questions about my tires. He told me the wait is 2.5 hours but he did say he will have it done ASAP. I think an appt did not make any difference. I like that they will balance and rotate your tires every 7000miles for free. They will also warranty the tires for 60,000 miles. I'm looking forward to driving them. read more

On Sunday, February 7, 2016, I was tasked to go to Costco for my wife and pick up four rotisserie chickens. I don't go into Costco more than once per year so I told her I don't know where to find the item she is looking for. Here is my experience and why a 10 minute purchase turned into a 1.5 hour ordeal. I walked into the store and walked down the aisle where dry goods are on the right and the meat department is on the left. Not having a clue where the cooked chickens were located I wandered the meat aisles for about 10 minutes and found nothing. I asked a Costco worker where the cooked chickens were and he continually tried to direct me to the refrigerated packaged chicken to purchase Curry Chicken. I finally got upset and left him to find another person to ask. I found a Costo worker and she pointed down the aisle I just walked down. She said "You see that sign for dairy products (milk-eggs) you go down there and turn left and the chicken is right there. So I walked down to where the sign milk-eggs was located and when I turned left I ended up inside a large refrigerator where they sell milk and eggs. So I exited the refrigerator and continued down the aisle further. I ended up at the back of the store with a gate saying EMPLOYEES ONLY and the only items there was beer on my left and water on my right. So I asked a 3rd Costo Worker where in the world the cooked chicken is. She said "We are only part-time temporary workers and not directly hired by Costo. You need to find someone with a Costco name tag on so they can help you." After wandering the entire story for 15 minutes trying to find someone with a Costco name tag on, and not finding anyone except those working the registers, I figured wandering around the story to continue to try to find the cooked chicken was my best option. Finally finally finally after wandering around I was able to find the location where the cooked rotisserie chicken was located. The problem is that no matter where you are located in the store the shelving, displays, and lighting, blocks out all the signs above the meat displays. You are unable to see any sign be it PORK, BEEF, CHICKEN, ROTISSERIE CHICKEN, BAKERY, etc., until you are about 20 feet from the signs and you can only clearly see the signs when you are 10 feet from the counters. Then when I finally found the rotisserie chicken location there was not even one cooked chicken on the display for the customers. There were a half dozen of us customers watching chickens cook in the ovens but the display was empty without a single cooked chicken on it. After about 10 minutes a worker came out of the meat department walked out, looked at the bare display, and then walked away like he could care less that we wanted to purchase cooked chickens. On his way back inside the meat department one of the other customers with me confronted him and asked him to put the chickens out for us. The Costco worker acted like it was an inconvenience for him to do the job he is paid for which is to take the chickens out of the oven and put them in containers for us to purchase. With customer service this poor no wonder I only shop Costco maybe once per year and I leave all the other Costco purchase for my wife to do. read more

This is for the Costco at Mall of Ga in Buford Ga. and regards establishing a membership. I'm a costco shareholder. I asked my wife to switch our family membership from Sams to Costco. When she went to visit a store and become a member, she learned that membership can only be established with a Check, Debit card or Cash. The other alternative was to sign up for an Amex card. Unfortunatly for us, we do most of our business with credit cards other than Amex. Many Americans do. I have a suggestion for Costco. Change your policy to accept all major credit cards. Most retailers do. I have heard many good things about costco and look forward to shopping there. It was disappointing and inconvenient to learn of the odd practice of limited payment methods when we went to sign up as members. I encourage you to expand your payment methods to make it easier to increase your customer base. You missed a potential $200.00 purchase today because we did not have either of your "limited" payment methods available. We live 30 miles away so we did not return today. I doubt we are unique in this quagmire. Your current policy is hampering your potential share value as a publicly traded company. In some cases, it's also slowing / reducing your potential for adding customers. read more

I love coming to Costco. It's so fun to go around sampling the various eats and drinks offered. Shirley is my favorite food sampling preparer. You can also sit down for a quick meal at one of the many tables they have. Costco offers pizza (cheese, pepperoni, or supreme), hotdogs, sodas, even smoothies! They have one other item - a wrap of some sort, but I can't entirely remember. Costco also sells clothing which I think is cool. My friend just bought a pair of their Lucky brand corduroys! You must have a membership to come into the store and if you buy something, there is a person who checks receipts as you exit. read more

Nothing's special about this Costco. Parking sucks. You cannot find parking anywhere especially on the weekends. But gas price is cheap and their pizza is really really really good! Also a bottle of sofa is $1 and a bottle of water is only 25 cent when I use their vending machines. What a good deal! read more

EXCEPTIONAL TIRE DEPARTMENT!!! I've been shopping at the Duluth Costco location since I moved here in 2001 and have always had wonderful service! You cannot beat the deals in all of the departments! My family and I regularly use the Eye & Travel Centers and Most Importantly the Tire Center! Shout out to Travis and All the Guys in the Tire Department who went above and beyond for a defective tire replacement before the Holiday Weekend. My family and I always get professional service there! Appointments are available and my experience is that they keep to them and you get your vehicle serviced in a timely matter even when they are extremely busy! They are upfront about the expected wait time and it's fairly accurate. We always buy new tires (usually on sale) at the Duluth Costco and return for Free Rotations and Repairs. We have even used Costco Tire Centers in other states if we run into issues while on the road. All centers have a record of your vehicle's tire history. Shop around, you can't beat the Prices and Service! read more

I brought my girlfriend to sign up and we had greeted her a hello first and she immediately shut us down without even looking at us and told us to hold on. . . Five minutes later as were waiting she still hasn't greeted us. Almost felt like it was because we were asian. I love costco...plain and simple. This warehouse makes shopping a one stop for all. For groceries, they have extremely fresh vegetables and fruits that are often organic too. The rotisserie chicken is the same price as kroger's but twice the size. Household essentials are also stocked here in bulk, and the prices are lower than other retailers. If i'm hungry, I can buy a lunch for less than $4, and if you are feeling extremely cheap, the samples can fill you up. If i want to feed my family, I can get a large pizza for $10. When I need gas, the gas prices are lower than any other gas station I can find. I also have a personal bias that I believe Costco gas is better quality..but that i debatable.
