I love Costco. Period. You can't beat the $4.99 rotisserie chickens that are big and juicy, and marvelous. Plus, I love the prices on the flowers, fruit, croissants, and just a host of other items I buy in bulk. I can't stand this place on the weekends. You can't get anything done. People be stopping in the middle of aisles and won't move. People won't take a sample and move on; they stand right there and eat it and then they want to discuss it with the vendor knowing damn well they ain't gonna buy the ish. People are oblivious and rude, but that's not Costco's fault. Costco is just wildly popular because they provide the goods. It can't be denied. I love it during the week when the masses have other things to do. That's when I can have my way. A customer service rep upset me here once. See, I noticed that some laundry detergent I bought had an expiration date on it that was coming up in a few days and I had just bought it. She told me that detergent doesn't expire and gave me a look like something is wrong with me. She asked me why I don't put just a drop of bleach in the water when I wash dishes. (Bye, don't nobody catch up water and hand wash no dishes round here!). I had to tell her that I'd like a refund and that I'd like not to debate it. I don't know why that manufacturer put an expiry date on their own product if it doesn't expire. I want her trained on how to say, "Okay, no problem". I glare at her every time I go. Can't believe I've never drafted a review for Costco! I've been to this location over the years, and although I don't personally have a membership, I do find a way to get in. Relax, it's nothing so scandalous...the account holder this day was my girlfriend, and on this day (Saturday afternoon), we marveled at the sheer volume of people here. Here's the thing....while I'll say parking is plentiful, you just may have trouble finding any spot given the time of day you go. It gets busy is all i'm saying. We went in looking for a pair of sunglasses that I lost a few months back. The pair that I purchased were relocated from their seasonal area from months back and placed in their optical center. We found this out as we were leaving, and surprise surprise, they have a cash register here, and allowed us to check out here, instead of going through the crowds waiting in line (thanks for that!) Beyond the sunglasses, Costco is pretty much Costco. You know what it is...they have basically everything....just in bulk....from iPads to 4k sets, to clothes to a food court that serves up some great (and flavorful) deals. Located off of Venture Drive, and actually just a stones throw away from Sams Club (separated by Steve Reynolds Blvd), this location is very close to I-85 Costco....either you love it or really don't have a need for a gallon of mayo. I came to this Costco to get a membership, I originally was going to do it online and come in store to get the card. When I went in I got helped by a lady named Michelle I stated to her that I wanted the gold star membership ($65) instead of the black card membership(130). She tried to persuade me and I kept saying that I wanted the gold star. She kept pressuring me to get the other and telling me that I will save money. To the point that I got flustered. I kept telling her I was fine with the other one. After she saw that I wasn't budging she continue with the membership annoyed and talking to her coworkers basically ignoring me. Afterwards another lady came next to her named Devi/Delvy and she tried persuading us as well saying that the black membership is good for travel and how she gets very affordable car insurance with the membership. (I think she gets those perks because she works there) I told the other lady that I was fine and I will continue with the gold star membership. She then proceeded to tell me that the gold star is like giving free money to her and said "thank you for your money!" Which was rude. After I was given my membership Michelle didn't really acknowledge us. It was not a pleasant way to join and welcome us to Costco. read more

No surprise to anyone that I'm giving 5 stars to another Costco. This one has been a familiar one for some time now: I was duke at one time or another, even though I'm out of state. Last time we were in Atlanta, we got some specialty, sodium-laden, spicy peanuts that are of Indian origin - so good that I wanted a refill already (alas - none were to be found). This review highlights some of the unadvertised/unusual special prices that they occasionally have, especially in comparison to our Costcos back in Orlando. Corvina, for instance, is $8.99 a lb here yesterday, compared to $10.99 - that is WHEN you can get them - back home. I never see those big box Quaker oats on sale back home, but here they are, $2 off! Even that Irish country cream, the 1.5 L. at 13.9% ABV, already a bargain at its regular price of $9.80 back home, is almost $2 cheaper here (no sign indicating its a sale price). You just have to (still) watch the crowds here, especially on the weekend. The line even to get into the parking lot, never mind the gas station one, is patience-trying. If you're coming from Steve Reynolds, you're slightly better off using the entrance before turning into Costco's parking lot. And inside the store, you can forget about social distancing - but hey: it's Georgia! read more

Love it! With a large family Costco is my best-friend. I love shopping in bulk, it saves us so much money and I don't have to shop for those items often. I shopped for all of my house-warming party needs and saved on everything. From socks for my guest to wear around my house because of our "no shoes" rule. Cakes for the sweet tooth's at heart, dips, snacks, chips, hors d'oeuvres, wine (they have very good pink moscato), paper goods, plastic forks and knives and cooking ware. Parking is challenging, and navigating the store is, as well. Large crowds on the weekends and little regard for other drivers/shoppers. Selection and service are great (so are the hot dogs and pizza at the cafe), but in my opinion, the experience is marred by the parking and navigation challenges. This location of Costco is located in the busy Asian central of Duluth, GA, right off Pleasant Hill and Steve Reynolds. The parking lot is HUUUUUGE. So while a worry would usually be that you can't find a spot, you can definitely find a parking space here, just farther away from the entrance. I applied for a Costco Executive membership at this location. The membership services was crowded and busy on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. It was hard to hear the service rep over the noise and bustle of Costco. It took a while to complete the credit check as I applied for the American Express card, but eventually we got it all done. As with any other Costco, they've got everything you need in bulk amounts and your membership card can bring you to any location. Cheaper gas and impossibly cheap food in the food court make my day. read more

Love Costco. The gas prices here are the cheapest in Atlanta (other than occasional small obscure independent brand). There is plenty of parking as well. They take Amex for the food court. Used to be cash only. Only gripe are some of the employees. I understand this location gets a lot of Asians whose first language isn't English and they probably deal with a lot of language barriers but some workers seem to pigeonhole all Asians into this category. I'm a native English speaker and I get it at times. It's annoying but I'm trying to understand it from the employee's stance. The employees are always helpful, the samples ample, and the variety of products side. This store is always clean, and of course we always come out with more than we went in for, but it's ok! I so appreciate their return policy. We recently bought an oven but had to return it because the width of the front control panels made me really have to lean too close to the front burners to reach the back (who knew that being very short could cause such problems). They were very helpful scheduling the return. And let's face it, where can you take home a delicious, cheesy, $10 pizza for dinner, and we do that often! Thanks Costco! read more

People, they are the kindest service people in retail, Product, constantly introducing new items at a, Price, the average person can afford. Obviously management got the memo, as a customer we have the power too shop any where. I had a SAMS card for several years, nothing wrong with SAMS, in my opinion they just are not COSTCO. I have had A COSTCO CARD for 5 years now, 2 years ago we upgraded to the next level card and as the manager promised it would pay for the membership and it has. Reason for the post is in the last year we have had 2 very interesting things we have watched develop. We shop 2 stores, Lawrenceville & Duluth (we call the mall store) 3-4 times a month. Lawrenceville last year in front of us was the RUDEST SHOPPER, she said it was her husbands card, and her credit card did not work, and it was in her opinion the stores fault. Honestly, this was one of those "YOU SHOULD BOW TO ME WAIT ON MY EVERY NEED" shopper was a JERK. The lady (I DO MEAN LADY) working the register and the man helping her were ROCK STARS. They slayed the DRAGON with service and kindness. They were so polite and did everything but pay for her purchase, and she stormed off. When I got up to the register after a long wait, I chose to wait to see what the DRAGON was up to. I looked at the LADY and stated HOW DARE YOU GIVE THAT PERSON SUCH GREAT SERVICE and we all laughed. DULUTH a very SENIOR CLASSY LADY was having issues with her credit card and she had (aprox $120.00 in grocery items) and only $65.00 in cash. I thought that she was going to cry, she kept apologizing. The Gentleman assisting and the cashier told her THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM, they apologized too those of us in line and turned their attention back to the Elderly Lady.. They asked what she was fixing for dinner, and rang that up, what's for tomorrow, they pulled that out and rang it up. They asked if there was anything else she would need for the next few days, and rang those items up. The register dude said that will give you a few days too get your credit card fixed. She offered to put the other items back and the assistant said "I GOT YOU, MY PLEASURE...SHE LEFT WITH HER DIGNITY IN TACT. I know I am a few years from being that lady. I appreciate that Costco actively encourages face masks and social distancing and am also pleased by the fact that (almost) all the other shoppers comply with these requests. However, I think that offering samples in the already very busy walkways leading up to the registers does undermine that. Costcos are great in general just for all that they offer for the prices that they offer. This Costco in particular could work on a few things: 1. Merchandise return speed. I've been waiting on line to return some bad kiwis. I was the third person in line when I walked in. I've been waiting for about 15 minutes so far.. still the third person. The guy is just returning some light bulbs. 2. Cleanliness - they could do a better job cleaning the food court area more often. The Costcos I used to regularly go to in CT & KC were really good at this &, therefore, we're a great place for families to stay and eat. Here, no so much. Almost every time we come, I have to wipe the table down myself & there are almost always food scraps under the table. 3. Customer service. The manager here isn't the friendliest or most helpful of people. One time, I had to walk him through what the layout of his store was like (for product placement) and help him to help me. DON'T TRUST COSTCO OR THEIR THIRD PARTY VENDORS! I was poisoned from the bread I purchased at this location. It was Alpine Valley Organic Omega 3 bread. I found pieces of electrical wire In several pieces of bread. It was a two in one pack and I ate more than half of the product. I filed a complaint with Costco and they confiscated the bread. It toke them nearly three weeks to send the bread to the company. THEY DID NOT PULL THE REMAINING BREAD OFF THE SHELF AND CONTINUED TO SELL IT TO CUSTOMERS. I complained with the FDA but it was up to Costco and Alpine Valley Bread. THEY LIED TO THE FDA AND TOLD THEM THEY WERE IN CONTACT WITH ME ABOUT THIS MATTER, BUT THAT WAS A COMPLETE LIE! WHAT'S WITH THE HYPE? Several years ago, we had a membership at Costco but cancelled it when we realized that we just did not use it as much as we used our Sam's membership. One thing I did not like about Costco is that I could not get in until 10am whereas my business account at Sam's allows me to have access at 7:30am. I wanted to visit today to see if anything had changed and if I might want to reconsider a Costco membership. Well, they still have inconvenient hours and I didn't see anything to convince me that a Costco membership is better than my Sam's membership. We were really interested in looking at their furniture options so this is where we started. They had several sofas, loveseats, chairs and sectionals. However, we did not find these items to be of significant quality. Many of them appeared to be cheaply made of inferior materials and not very comfortable. They did have a nice mohogany chest that consisted of solid construction, dove-tail joints and smooth drawer glides. It was the perfect piece for an office or bedroom but it was very dark and not offered in another shade. I did like their collection of chests and detailed entertainment centers but wish that they were taller. I have always thought that their walk-in coolers are crazy because you are literally walking into a fridge so be prepared! When I compare Costco to Sam's Club, Sam's comes out ahead because it has great hours, I actually like their paper products and they always have everything I need. Costco excels when it comes to appliances which Sam's does not carry, They actually had a really nice washer and dryer set that has to be purchased on line. However, they deliver, set up and discard your old appliances. This is a nice change because "back in the day" the clubs would not do anything but sell the items and they now realize that they are competing with businesses that provide complete services. Customer service and convenience means everything so it is nice to see more comprehensive services being offered. When it comes to offering samples, Sam's has them beat because you can literally eat lunch at Sam's just on the strength of those samples. Sam's usually has more vendors and a greater variety. Today's samples at Costco were just being prepared at 11:30 and weren't very exciting. But let me say this: while we are over here sampling cheese and crackers, the Sam's Club in Cancun was sampling paella. Yes, the real deal with fresh seafood and everything prepared on the spot! It was delicious! They also had dressing rooms and mirrors which I would love to see in all of the local clubs because it just makes sense. We need better amenities in all of the clubs! For now, I will continue to stick with Sam's and Bj's who always have exactly what I need. ***For some reason, this parking lot is always slammed so be careful! read more

I love Costco, especially this location, as it is one of the lesser crowded locations. There is plenty of parking, and everything inside is great. if you are planning on going, go around lunchtime, as there are lot of vendors set up inside providing samples of their foods. Costco has some of the best meats as well, and some of the most affordable USDA Prime steaks available., however be prepared to get a large portion of them, as this is a Wholesale club. They have a great little food court as well, as you can get a hotdog and drink for a few bucks, as well as an amazing ALL NATURAL fruit smoothie with 0 sugar and only 200ish calories. This is a meal within itself! If you like to indulge, then don't forget to pick yourself up a cinnamon churro., they are always fresh and taste amazing. If you are interested, they have 18" pizza's, or you can buy it by the slice. Costco offers a little bit of everything that anyone could ever want. From Electronics to home goods to fresh fruits and veggies. This place is the ideal shopping area for those who have large families, such as myself. Stock up and save! read more

I really enjoy going to this Costco for shopping and food court. Today I have never been this disappointed with this employee, Kathy. I usually enter through the exit when I place a food order or when I want to eat at the awesome Costco food court. I understand that entering from the exit gate can look bad, but I do this because there's door right next to the exit gate for the customer service desk. I think it's reasonable and I been doing it for a very very long years. However, one of the employees, Kathy, decided to stop me and asked "where are you going?" So, I simply told her I placed a pizza order. She told me to go through the entrance to access the food court with a tone far beyond just rude. That was very unnecessary. She could have asked for my membership ID and I wouldn't mind having her look thoroughly. She needs some customer service training. read more

I am a big fan of Costco. I made the switch from Sam's club 10 years and haven't look back. Yes I am paying 55 dollars a year for membership . But the service and access bulk items that you would pay more at a regular store is worth the price of admission. Unlike Sams clubs Costco stuff like cloths , shoes, accessories and electronics frequently change every two weeks or monthly. I made a mistake to hold back on some Nikes that were 35 bucks and retailed 100 every were else. A week later GONE . I have save a ton of money buying all my supplies for my super ball party with there meat trays , chicken ,cookies,drinks. Gas station is pretty competitive with the area usually 2-3 cents cheaper only selling unleaded and premium.Food Court serves Pepsi products ,pizza 1.99 , hot dogs and a drink 1.50. The Pharmacy have competitive prices in generic and accepts most insurance companies. I used the optical department once. Contacts prices are very similar to buying online. Check out is never longer than 5 mins all the time. If the lines get long the sfaff will open another register. This location have self check out line with 4 kiosk "AND..keep in mind they don't check your photo in the self checkout line since you are scanning the membership card". Returns never been a issue with me here. I have received my money back 99.9 percent of the time.Weekend can be a zoo but the free and filling food samples though out the store will keep you happy enough to ignore the crowds. The only cons are. The store only accepts AMEX for cc purchases. Food Court is Cash only and...this location do not sell liquor due to being in Gwinnett County outside a city municipality . read more

My wife took me to Costco for the first time last year. I hate shopping in warehouses and fought her every step of the way. I was the bratty kid outside with my arms crossed and the pouty face. I just didn't see the need to shop in a place where they sell ketchup by the GALLON. Somehow my wife convinced me to check it out..... I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of inventory they carried. Aside from groceries, there were electronics, clothing, and a ton of things I can't remember right now.......and of course, they had gallons of ketchup. I've always been pretty low maintenance so I've never needed "stuff" but now with a family of 4, buying in bulk makes more sense for us. I've been a member for about a year now and so far so good. I shop here at least once a week. Moral of the story: listen to your wife. read more

Costco tricked me into signing up for the executive membership. The Costco employee outright lied to me about the benefits of the membership. The normal membership fee per year is $55. The annual executive membership fee is $110. The employee told me that if I signed up for the executive membership I would earn points on purchases and receive a check at the end of the year. This employee swore that I would get AT LEAST $55 in rewards even if my purchases did not earn enough points for $55. I asked, "Why would anyone not get the executive membership?" The employee said, "Some people can't come up with the extra $55. This is a win win for you." Well... a year later and I received a bill for $110 to renew my membership and a check for $4 ONLY redeemable at Costco. The Costco employee straight up lied to me to rip me off. She probably earns commissions on signing people up for the executive membership. I'm switching back to Sam's Club - which is only two blocks away. read more

I. LOVE. COSTCO. I love the warehouse feel of this wholesale store. I can literally come here for hours upon end walking down each of the aisles like a little kid in a candy store. The weekends are the best times to hit up Costco though -- SAMPLES GALORE. This Costco is the one I'm most familiar with in terms of lay out, but recently they've definitely changed up the design. The chips and snacks are now in the back with the croissants, cakes, and rotisserie chickens. One down side is that this is not a location where they have the outside liquor sales. I wouldn't say splurge on a membership if you're feeding one, but there's definitely stuff here even if it's two of you. First of all, toiletries. You're always going to need toilet paper, paper towels, etc. These come in monster sizes, but the wholesale prices really can't be beat. If you have children, they have plenty of individual packed snacks that you can get that would be great for the lunchbox for school. Meat can always be frozen in individual packs. Also, they have a decently sized electronic section with cameras, laptops, TVs, etc. I only make about one trip here every month or two but really you can't go wrong with Costco. Not to mention, $1.50 polish dogs! or a whole pizza for under $10!? They don't take credit cards (except Amex) though -- only debit or cash! I have to admit that I don't have a Costco membership. Sad, I know... But when you have relatives and/or friends with a membership, I really don't see the need to get my own. With that being said, I haven't shopped in the main warehouse of this particular Costco, but I have purchased tires (thanks to my aunt), gotten tire services, and eaten at the food court here. * Tire Service Center: Over a year ago, I needed a full set of new tires and did some research online. I also got some advice from fellow Yelpers on where to purchase tires, but I ended up finding a set here that seemed to be a great deal. I won't bore you with the details, but it was ultimately a smooth experience and I was (and still am!) happy with my tires. I've had my tires rotated and balanced at this location maybe twice since then. (I've gone to other Costco locations a few times, too.) They can be really busy, but they take walk-ins. Most recently, I took my car to get the rotation and balance done on a Saturday, and I was told that it would be about 1.5 hours before my car was done since they were so busy. I asked if they would call me when my car was ready, and they assured me they would. While I waited, my family picked me up and we went shopping for about two hours. However, I never received a call from Costco. At least it was ready by the time I got there. * Food Court: I'm an absolute fan of Costco's food court. I love the $1.50 hot dog and fountain drink combo and the $1.99 (large!) slice of pizza. They're always served hot and fresh, and they're tasty and cheap options for those who want a quick bite. Plus, you don't have to be a Costco member to eat here. Yay! Overall, this Costco gets 3.5 stars - for their Tire Service Center (3 stars) and food court (4 stars). I will continue to utilize their tire services since they're free because I bought my tires from Costco, and I like that they inflate tires with nitrogen, which "retains tire pressure better over time than compressed air, which can positively impact the life of your tires, as well as the fuel economy of your vehicle" per their website. Costco is a great place to shop at. They have good prices and cool things you might not find at a regular store. They sell anything from TV's to clothes to movie tickets to screwdrivers to ice cream. They have a lot of diversity in products and carry good quality things. The service is very good here and they have a great return policy. Despite their membership fee, you most certainly make that money back. For myself, the savings from utilizing their gas stations alone more than pays for the membership fee. read more

I don't need/want the samples and I can't stand to battle women with unruly children and shopping carts (a deadly combo!) when they get busy on the weekend afternoons. I love Costco! I got my tires here three years ago or so, and the tire guys have always been great. I also get my face wipes, tampons, gum, vitamins and dark chocolate here. I know, odd assortment of things, but those are things I DO buy in bulk as one person. Costco is also great if you are planning a dinner party. I recently got a 6 lb. hunk of prime rib for $45 which fed six people, easy. I also discovered Costco makes an AMAZING tres leches cake. Their version is a bit different; there are a couple of layers of cream in place of the sweetened milk but it is oh so delicious. Let's not forget the food court, either. Love the pizza and the hot turkey provolone sandwiches. They take cash only, but I think my brother mentioned once that if you show your receipt, they can just add on the food purchase to your receipt or something like that. I think the sandwiches are pre-made, though, which kind of blows because I don't really care for the amount of pesto mayo that they slather on the bread, no matter how tasty it is. Last time I ordered it, she had just grabbed a sandwich out of the oven(?) and wrapped it in foil for me. Good thing I didn't bother asking for "no mayo"? During my second to last trip, I bought a giant bottle of vitamins. In our haste in packing the car, we left said vitamins in the cart. My BF called customer service the next morning to tell them what happened. He spoke to Alicia, who said that normally items left in carts get stored in the warehouse till people call to claim them. She said she couldn't find my vitamins, but we could come into the store and ask for her, and she'd replace them for free. When we got there a few hours later, she had already left. But the gentleman working customer service still replaced them for us after we told him what Alicia said. He radio-ed to the people at the exit that a "guy wearing a blue shirt" had some vitamins and he was OK to leave the store. It made me laugh because it sounded like my BF was a suspect.
