Friend said this is one of the more fisted and busy Costco's and I can see that. It was particularly busy on a Saturday, but it wasn't egregiously bad. It wasn't cart against cart and I didn't get my ankles dove into. We parked quite a distance away to avoid the chaos, but there's definitely a lot of people who are trying to park as close as possible and people with no self awareness, but isn't that everywhere? Good amount of free samples here and the sample workers were quite efficient. Everything was in stock for what we were trying to find. Despite the crowds, everything was largely organized with a great, diverse selection (like every Costco) and trash wasn't left everywhere either which is good. Fair cost and affordable prices, so it's always great to come here to grab food to feed a party at. Again, Costco knows what it's doing, so even with endless lines of people to check out, we didn't have to wait more than 5-10 minutes since everything was done so efficiently. Clearly we can see why the cult of Costco exists. read more

Some of the workers could use better customer service training. I was looking for a product that is available at select Costco locations, but the employees initially refused to check whether it was in stock. When I asked them to look up the specific SKU, they asked if it was the product I was referring to and immediately changed their tone. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but being rude to customers and refusing to provide reasonable assistance should not be the norm. I hope this can be addressed through better training and customer service expectations. read more

This Costco is always busy, no matter the day or time. The parking lot is usually packed, but I still come here because they tend to carry more Asian foods and snacks than other locations. They even have a dedicated Asian snack section with baked goods like the viral Ugly Cake, which I haven't been able to find at any other Costco. One thing I do like is that the self-checkout line moves surprisingly fast. The downside is that the food court is always crowded, and the condiment station is often out of relish. It just isn't the same eating a hot dog without it. read more

I would consider this a flagship store because everything is huge this feels like one of the biggest Costco's I've been to they have a gas station and their parking lot is enormous to say the least with that said it can also be quite busy busier than busy if you've been to a busy Costco this probably is like top of the list busy that you can't even move shopping carts you have to wait and wait and wait and sometimes their cashier and line management system is confusing but it is what it is and you go to Costco and this is what you expect read more

5/2/26 Logistically, this the closest Costco but it's not our go to if we could help it at all. Parking is a nightmare especially on weekends & peak times. Right now they're undergoing renovations so it's chaotic looking. Great selection of items, it's like all other locations, staff are helpful. I prefer the layout here because I'm used to having the entrance on the RIGHT & the EXIT on the left. Since it's still Los Angeles county, the sales tax here is more compared to the Inland Empire or Orange County. The prices overall are competitive to regular grocery stores but it's a warehouse so you may essentially shop for everything here-- if you have a big enough of everything to store it. read more

I visited the Alhambra Costco this morning and had a great trip. It wasn't crowded, and I easily found Pocket's Chocolates coated almonds. They are running an amazing sale until Sunday for picking 3 bags for $9.79! I bought 9 bags for $30. The staff was even kind enough to wrap them as gifts. They offer fantastic flavors like Matcha, Vietnamese Coffee, Ube Oat Milk, Black Sesame, and Mango Yuzu. Highly recommend. read more

Sadly, this Costco needs better training and to get up to standards of other locations. Beyond the fact it's already chaos at Costco, this one is a whole other level. The food court moves at a snail pace to get out what is quick serve food and the employees could care less. Employees inside the warehouse are slightly more friendly, though still not on par with typical Costco experience. Definitely look for other warehouses in the area versus coming to this location unless it's the only one that has what you're looking for, which can be the case in some instances. read more

I like this Costco however, the parking is horrible and it's always crowded but overall the service and the products are very good. They have everything you need especially in large box great to purchase a big box of food, and other items for your home. Prices are very good and everything is easy to put together. I like this Costco because it's local. Parking is horrible. read more

We have not been to this Costco in years, but can we say that it has gotten even worse? This warehouse is always busy, even right before closing. The quality of shoppers suck! I am writing this review in anger, having just experienced someone literally steal our cart full of groceries while we stepped into the refrigerated room for milk. We had already spent time so much time grabbing our essentials, only to have basically wasted all that time and effort. Respectfully, what kind of crappy person does that? We left, given how packed it was, and that we didn't want to go through the journey of getting everything again. Also, this is a Monday evening. read more

My wife and I love Costco, we can usually find what we're looking for and if not their employees are always very helpful. Yes you may have to buy in bulk but it's a lot cheaper than buying at the grocery stores. We also like the self checkout lines also, the line may look long but they are usually on top of things to keep everything moving smoothly. The only real problem is their "convenient" location. It's a problem getting in and out of this shopping center which is usually a nightmare but other than that I would recommend Costco to anyone. read more

I don't know why this Costco has such low ratings. It is HUGE and we always find things here we don't have at the Torrance location.

Yall don't need a review of Costco. But this Costco isn't the best... not the worst. But like most costcos in LA people oddly rushing and being crazy or the opposite dilly dallying and eating samples ... no one seems connected or helpful and working in a harmonious way. But alas.. current state of the world if we're being honest. This Costco gets the job done.. and that's all i can ask it to do. read more

This Costco location has gone from bad to worse. The customer service has seriously declined, and many employees come across as rude and unprofessional. During my recent visit, the cashier, Liz, treated us disrespectfully because I had a large purchase. Instead of providing customer service, she told me I should use the self-checkout. Customers with two carts should not be made to feel like they are an inconvenience. This experience was disappointing and unacceptable. The attitude of both the staff and management at this location appears to have deteriorated. This is not the first time I experienced bad service at this location recently. read more

There's never a dull moment at this super store. We usually go an hour before they close to avoid the crowds. Stopped in this Costco yesterday with my son and daughter-in-law. We were there about an hour before closing on Saturday. This was one of the busiest Costco locations I've been to. Maybe it was due to time of day or the location. I saw some interesting items that I didn't notice at the location closer to home, such as frozen peeled lychee and another type of instant pho noodles in ready to eat containers. There was a road show going on with samples being given out. You can imagine the crowds trying to get a taste of the noodles they were passing out. It was a hard pass for me. I didn't stay long enough to buy anything, but my daughter-in-law was on a mission and completed her shopping in less than 45 minutes, including self check out. It was a little too crowded for me to want to return on a weekend. read more

I love Costco! Parking lot is huge and love the huge parking spaces. If you wanna practice parking with first time drivers definitely go to Costco haha. Their carts have a new safety feature added to their front right wheel to protect from people taking it off the property. Set up inside is similar to Monterey park one. But dairy area may be a bit confusing to find. Hidden on left wall past the pharmacy. Also they put the Greek yogurt in there. Typically I grab it from the individual fridge aisles. I usually go to Monterey park Costco. Samples are same. Workers still wear masks, hair nets, have covers over the trays. Meat area and fruit area is same as Monterey park at the back. Every now and then there will be special deals like $5 steelhead today. Be careful about expiration dates!!! Sometimes they can be pretty close to the day you buy the produce. Tire center is next to membership as well. Optometry optical, membership are the same too. They have self check out as well. Recommend going to the end near self checkout. Usually lines are a bit shorter. Their optical selections change every now and then. Good selection. That's where I get glasses. Also a lot of insurances are covered. Look out for great deals. Food court is outside with bunch of seating. Still $1.50 hotdogs haha! Also rotisserie chicken is still 4.99 but in plastic bags. Not a huge fan. Great location. Came around 1pm on Friday. Not too crowded. read more

I want to give a big fat ZERO if I could . Most of the employees are very rude and exhibit substandard customer service. Costco sets the bar very low on customer service . My two agonizing days at the Alhambra Costco, Day 1, I noticed the front left tire is going flat. I waited more than two hours for them to claim my tire wasn't flat. That same night I heard air was leaking from the tire and my husband found the leak using water and soap. Day 2, went back to Costco to resolve the issue. Tire Center entrance is in the same area of the store exit. I typically enter from the returns entrance, but today an employee with a tablet soliciting members to sign on the more expensive plans was at the returns entrance. He stopped me cold and barked at me to go through the main entrance. I explained I am only going to the tire center and he literally blocked the door and made me walk all the way around the store cutting through the cashier lines to go to the tire center. While waiting for my tire to get repaired for the second time in two days, I did some shopping . During checkout, the newly on duty cashier, Edward, asked his helped to remove the "Line Closed" sign in the adjacent line. The woman ahead of me took no action so I asked Edward if he is opening the line, he replied "no", his helper also replied "no", but immediately asked the woman ahead of me to move to their register. Instead of being professional and informing me they needed to take the next customer, they lied that the line wasn't open, but took the customer in front of me. I truly felt their behavior was malicious and they wanted to school me and teach me a lesson because I intended to go into the newly opened line. They intentionally embarrassed and shamed me in front of other customers. Unless the cashier walks the next customer to the newly opened register, my take is that if no one moves to a newly opened line, then it's first come, first served. I called their administrative staff and reported the incident. I spent so much money at Costco and I expect to be treated with dignity and kindness. Mario from the tire center was the only positive encounter at Costo. He was very helpful and remedied the tire issue with a short wait. read more

This has been my go-to Costco Gas for the past couple of weeks. The entrance, parking lot, and gas station lines are chaos every single day unless I get gas early in the morning at 5:30 then there's not a lot of cars. The lot is extremely small so they did the best they could w the small space available. Gas prices here are mehhh, compared to back home where it's at least $0.10 cents/gal cheaper. Gas at Costco is still a great deal since it's about a dollar less than Chevron, can't complain. Inside of the Costco warehouse is just as chaotic as the parking lot and it's just too crowded, so I avoid going to this Costco... I prefer Aldi where the store is not in shambles. read more

I like where this Costco is located but I don't like this particular store that much. SERVICE Service is good for the most part BUT one annoying thing that I run into on 50% of my visits is some employees having poor awareness. This is mainly at the exit isle that runs from where self checkout is to the optometry area. Often, employees will be standing in the middle of the isle just talking and completely getting in the way. Or they will be walking down the aisle side by side and also getting in everyone's way. Ticket# 260205-004221 Terrible customer service!!!!! I was FORCE shipped my appliances because warehouse did not have space. I told them my kitchen was not in yet. Costco dropped the appliances (with installation) when my kitchen was still drywall only. A few weeks later Costco returned to install my appliances. A month later they are not working. When I reached out to warranty services they would not return/replace item because it was past 90 days. I told them they forced me to accept the item early and did not hook up appliances until weeks later. This would've easily put me under the 90 days. They still denied my replacement. How am I to know the item is faulty if it is not hooked up? Highly disappointed in Costco, they were not flexible when it comes to 90day return. In this situation it ended up about 93 days total that's including the time the item was still in box prior to Costco installation. I just hoped Costco would have a little understanding and flexibility given the circumstances. Service ticket# 260205-004221 read more

I came to the Costco in Alhambra to purchase a pair of glasses and contacts, and it was hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced. What a joke. There was an older man, probably in his 60s, with black and gray-streaked hair tied in a man bun--he was unbelievably rude. From the moment I spoke with him, he made it clear he didn't want to be there. I had some questions about contacts since I've never worn them before, and instead of helping me, he cut me off and said, "Do you have a yes or no question? Because I have a line to get through." I was literally the next person in line, and he still felt the need to rush me and make me feel like a burden. The way he spoke to me throughout the entire interaction was condescending and degrading. It was shocking. Then I had to deal with a blonde woman with curly hair who was just as rude. When I asked her to unlock a pair of glasses so I could try them on, she rolled her eyes and acted like I was bothering her. Her attitude was dismissive and unprofessional--I couldn't help but wonder if there was some bias or discrimination going on. Neither of them wore name tags, which I found suspicious. If I could identify them by name, I would absolutely report them for how they treated me. To make matters worse, my mom recently came here to order a single pair of glasses with transitional lenses, but instead, they gave her two completely separate pairs--one regular and one prescription sunglasses--without ever clarifying that this was what they were doing. She was charged $600 for something she didn't even ask for. It shows they either don't listen to their customers or just don't care. It's incredibly disappointing to be treated like this, especially in a place where people come expecting respectful service. If you're looking for glasses or contacts, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Another thing that really upset me is how they treat elderly customers. They're incredibly rude and dismissive, even though elders are the ones who often need the most patience and support. I watched them shut people down mid-sentence, rushing them through like their questions didn't matter. It's heartbreaking and completely unacceptable. I'm writing this review in hopes that Costco will require some kind of mandated customer service training for this location--especially in compassion and basic human decency. Everyone deserves to be treated with kindness. This behavior is not okay. read more

Came to the Costco food court on a Monday afternoon to grab lunch while helping family move. It had been a long time since I ordered a whole pizza: it's as good as ever (though it looks like the combo option is gone for good). I've been going to Costco's in So Cal long enough where I believe the outdoor food court is the norm (it's not...the majority are indoors...which is what I was used to before moving here). I mention this because fast food (especially ones that go great with beer) just flat out tastes better eating it outside. This one in Alhambra is outdoors, and has the newly installed automatic order taking kiosks. The Costco food menu is pretty small, and the kiosks did seem to make the lines (both the pick-up line and the in-person ordering line) shorter. Unfortunately, we had a problem with our order. There were three of us, so ordered a full pizza (half pepperoni/half cheese for $9.95), along with self serve Coke products ($0.79 each), iced coffee drink ($2.99), and a strawberry sundae ($2.49). In the kiosk, there was an option to tie payment to an existing phone-in pizza order (call 626-281-1402), which we had not done, so a warning popped up about wait times (which was fine). After paying, the receipt was supposed to print out, which you would take to the pick-up line. The receipt didn't print and no error popped up...had no idea what to do next. The employee who was supporting the area fixed the printing problem, but there was no way to reprint. The only option (as told) was to go to customer service (basically the returns line) and ask for a refund (they could look up the order from the membership number). So while my friend did that, I went ahead and placed the exact same order on my membership. The pick-up line went quick, where I picked up my drinks and frozen items. I was told that the pizza would take 15 minutes (it was very busy and they only start making the pizza once you get to front), picking up from a side window. So I waited the 15 minutes, and the pizza was ready as promised. It was crowded, so a bit difficult finding a table but one cleared up. Only when we sat down, did my friend come back to state he had gotten his refund (20 minutes later). Not a good experience...for these kiosks where the receipt is critical, the payment processing must be tied to the successful printing of the receipt...it can't be like a gas station where a receipt printing often fails but you've already gotten your product so not as a big deal. And maybe have an interface between the kiosk and the kitchen so the pizza starts getting made as soon as payment is received (instead of waiting till you get to the front of the line). Costco systems can be just anachronistic (still giving us cash rewards via a mailed credit card bill...c'mon). As for the food, it was great, and you can not beat the prices. There is extra cheese on the pizza, and the crust is as good as ever. And after switching to soft serve ice cream (from the previous fro-yo), it was as good as McDonald's on a good day. So will definitely order all of it again, but maybe use the in-person order line. read more

Costco makes shopping so much better with its food samples, unique products, and unbeatable deals. I love walking through the aisles, discovering new items, and stocking up on favorites like their buttery, fresh croissants! ::Experience:: This location is extremely busy, which can make parking a challenge. I've also encountered rude and aggressive shoppers here; some even bump into you without acknowledging it. I think this Costco carries a wider selection of items compared to other locations. ::Food:: There's a great variety of food to explore, and sampling them adds to the fun of shopping! ::Customer Service:: Costco's customer service really stands out, and I've had the pleasure of being helped by two exceptional employees: Tim Kelly and Anthony. More recently, Tim Kelly helped me with a product I wasn't happy with, and he was just as impressive. He apologized for the inconvenience, and took the time to understand my concerns. Tim was incredibly friendly, patient, and professional, showing genuine care for my experience as a customer. His kindness and willingness to help turned a frustrating situation into a positive one. Anthony is someone I've spoken to on the phone multiple times when calling about product availability. He's always so polite, friendly, and willing to go the extra mile.
