If you are passing by on the freeway. Stop. Now. This was no fast food restaurant experience, but rather a taste bud thriller. We cross the country by car and eat at A LOT of places. Costa Vida was new to us, and we feel we have been missing something. The menu and asembly line preparation is comparable to Qdoba, Chipotle, etc. But they have nothing on the flavors. Try the Raspberry Chipotle chicken and the Sweet Pork. We had the Days of the week special bowl and added grilled peppers. A drink is included. We split the bowl and there was more than enough to enjoy, and fawn over. We will be returning each time we visit Richfield! read more

I'm a fan of Costa Vida, but this location is different. I've been to this establishment two nights in a row because I'm out of town for work and this is the closest thing within walking distance to my hotel. The employees always seem to be in a big hurry to get customers out the door as quick as possible without caring about what you are trying to order. The employees were in such a big hurry to package up my meal after I told them it was a carry out, I had to continuously ask for extra toppings while they were trying to quickly shove the lid on my order as quick as possible to get me out the door. On top of that I usually order the lettuce and pico on the side, but the lettuce here tastes unwashed and dirty. read more

I usually love Costa Vida but this place was disgustingly filthy. Soda and ice drain tray was filthy with weird brown frothy fluid, hard water stains everywhere. The tables, counters and windows were filthy and covered with greasy fingerprints The bathroom sinks looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks and floors covered in caked dirt. Hubby said men's bathroom was nasty too. Sweet pork was lacking flavor and full of fatty chunks and lettuce was really watery which ruined the salad. Wow, can't even answer the phone to make a call in order. Tried five times, and still no answer on a Thursday at 4:30pm. Drove there, and their was only 2ppl in the restaurant. The guy that filled my order was rude, and flippant. He acted like he was put out that he had to make my salad. Asked for two separate dressings, and got home with only one. My salad was the worst I have ever had at a Costa Vida. This restaurant needs some serious customer service training. Not to mention training period. My wife and I stopped here on our way to Bryce Canyon National Park. The shift supervisor had sent everyone on break, so she was mad because she had to work. She was touching money then came over to make us our food and complained that she had to put on gloves. The cashier was angry because my wife gave her a $50.00 bill and she did not know what to do with it. The staff here needs to learn some customer service. The food was cold due to the fact the supervisor was busy talking to the staff while our food was sitting on the counter waiting to complete our order. I do not recommend eating here. read more

CELIACS BEWARE We arrived at 8:20 pm, they were lined up out the door. Out of everything! We go here because of their gluten free products. They were out of gluten free shells. My wife has celiacs disease, so the only option was a salad. The girl making our food didn't change gloves, didn't wash hands and contaminated her salad by straightening the lettuce with her contaminated gloves. We don't have Costa Vida where I live so this was the first time. Very similar to Chipotle or Moe's. The grilled chicken was awesome and they make fresh tortillas right in front of you. Really liked the tomatillo ranch dressing. Huge portions. read more

In a land barren of many good food choices (I-70 through Utah), Costa Vida is a refreshing find, especially after being on the road for a few hours. Still fast food, but a big step up from McDonalds or Wendys. Great vegetarian options and nice salads. Definitely a step above Chipotle or Qdoba. The tomatillo ranch is worth a try. The staff here is amazing. They went out of the way to accommodate our food allergies. They changed gloves without my even having to ask. I will definitely be returning when in next on the area. I was able to get a meal with no meat, but it wasn't any cheaper than it would have been with the meat. Returned on our way home, hoping for the same great experience. Upon arriving at the pick up time, we had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the order and were told they were out of the raspberry chipotle sauce for the chicken burrito. The chicken tortilla soup was more like a bland porridge, the rice and tortilla strips absorbed all the broth and the chicken tasted burnt. As we were traveling on the road to head to Colorado, we stopped in this town to eat lunch. We saw this place driving by and looked crowded so we gave it a try. It was delicious. I got a chicken quesadilla, my mom got a burrito, and my dad got like a taco. The tortillas are made there and taste really good. This place is like chipotle but I think it is better. One complaint I had is the lettuce was brown so I didn't eat it. And the line was slow so it took a while to order. Hope they come out to California. read more

The food is Midwestern Mexican - fairly bland flavors. Ingredients were fresh. Think really bland Chipotle, but the burritos don't hold together. This is not a great place to stop when it's busy - there is room for at least 50 patrons, but only a couple of high chairs and two toilets with no hand towels in the bathrooms.
