Shredded beef burrito.
Thomas C.

Probably the worst "Mexican" food I've had after a joint in TN that put plain chicken on a tortilla and called it a pollo asada taco..... I asked for a bowl and was told they were out of rice "but I can scoop more beans in the bowl"..... So you want to give me a bowl filled with beans and some cheese on top? They were out of rice, pico, steak, and chicken. I asked for a shredded beef burrito and he pulled the tongs out and barely got about a tablespoon of meat from the container before they were out of that, too. The lettuce they put on the side looked like someone chewed it instead of slicing it up. We also got cheese enchiladas since a place called Costa Vida apparently has no seafood options for pescatarians. They put cheese inside and on top and put the plate thing in the oven. We got back to the hotel across the street and the cheese inside was still cold and lifeless. I had to run out to the car and when I came back in the room had a district cafeteria smell to it. Sadly, we would have gotten better food at the Bell across the street for less money. Would highly not recommend.

Steak burrito no sauce

Sadly I was not a huge fan of Costa Vida. I had it while I was traveling. It can compare to cafe rio except the flavors are off. The service was okay but we had such an unpleasant time eating the food. Have you ever felt like you were only eating something just because you bought it and didn't want to waste money? Well that's how we felt we were not into any of the food we purchased but we were hungry and didn't want to waste anymore money. The only thing we did find that was good was their horchata drink.

Unfortunately, I was not thrilled with my visit to this Costa Vida. My family and I showed up to grab a bite on the way up to Provo. The restaurant layout and atmosphere was pretty cool. But once I got to the beginning of the food line, I saw that the sauces and pinto beans were dried and had a layer of crust on top. Someone had forgotten to stir the sauces and beans to keep them from drying out and crusting over. The service was done with a smile, which I appreciate. However, I asked for a burrito. Suddenly, without being asked, my burrito was smothered in sauce and covered with a layer of cheese that was thicck (with two "C"s). That didn't necessarily bother me. But my burrito went from probably 700/750 calories to 1,300/1,400 calories in a second. Then I asked for some lettuce on the side. The lettuce bin was near empty. So, instead of getting another tub of lettuce, the server (who was very kind) only put about 10 shreds of lettuce on. As if it was coming out of this persons paycheck. I asked for a little more lettuce. Another 5 strips of lettuce were added and then a second pinch of 5 strips. Wow. My old man then asked for some lettuce as well. Same thing happened. He said, "I'm sorry but I'm going to need more lettuce than that." Then, the new tub of lettuce was FINALLY broken out and another server hooked us up with a lot of lettuce. Not sure why there was such stinginess with the lettuce. The food was good for a road trip quick-bite. Wasn't impressed but wasn't disappointed. Meh.

Bar86 - Tater tots loaded

Bar 86 is a nice watering hole in an alcohol free desert known as central Utah. Primarily looking…read morefor a place to eat we stopped by on our trip from the Red Rock country of Southern I Utah to Salt Lake City. The bar is a bit off the I-70 freeway, but not too far. It is spacious inside with large tables and a friendly, welcoming staff. I had a margarita with my lunch; only one though because I was driving. It wasn't strong but was tasty enough. The beers are mostly domestic with only one micro brew selection but there were plenty of national brand choices. The food was home made and not bad for bar food. I had a Pittsburgh cheese steak sandwich that I thought was good. I ordered it with a side salad instead of fries as I had also ordered the loaded Pastrami fries which came with cheese, pickles and mustard on top. It was a bit too rich and heavy for my taste and the flavors didn't really work well together. Maybe without the mustard I would have liked it more. Not a bad place for a rest stop or a reasonable local hang out as well with some decent food.

I've been twice now- both times ended up here for an overnight stay in Richfield. It's a dive bar…read morebut super clean and spacious. Simple food menu, basic beers and cocktails. The cheesesteak was alright. It was nothing to complain about or write home about. The jojo fries were kinda undercooked but good and seemed homemade almost. Attentive service, not overbearing. A lot of locals since Richfield isn't exactly a destination but you'll get the same treatment and be just as welcome.

DO NOT eat here. A friend and I were in Richfield and we decided to stop somewhere for lunch. We…read moredecided to stop at the Days Inn and try the restaurant that was inside the hotel. My friend and I both walk in and find our seats. After we had set down I looked and counted no more than five other people in the dining hall. Our waitress was promptly at our table. Both my friend and I looked at the menus and placed our order. The waitress took our order and left. The promptness of the waitress was the only good thing that happened during hour lunch break. While waiting for our meal, my friend and I visited to pass the time away. Soon 10 minutes had went by then 15 and then 20. We are still waiting for our meal and have not seen a waitress come by to let us know when our meal will be there or what is going on. Finally after waiting 30 minutes for our meal, a waitress did stop by our table but only to sit down a bottle of ketchup and mustard and to refill our water glasses. A second waitress comes with a tray with our food on it which she put on our table and left. Finally a waitress comes with a tray which contains our meal which she promptly sets on the table and then leaves. I took a glance at my watch, 40 minutes had passed from the time we placed our order to the time that it was brought to us. I had ordered a club sandwich and my friend ordered a burger. The club was not anything big. However, the burger that my friend had ordered, was not even cooked. You could cut open the burger and see that it was still raw inside. A great host for food position and who knows what else. We got the attention of a waitress that came over and saw the condition of the burger. To be totally honest, the waitress really did not seem to be that worried that a raw hamburger was served. The waitress informed us that we did not have to pay for the meal due to the condition of our meal. My friend and I got up and left the restaurant and the Days Inn hotel. If looking for a place to eat, do not stop at the coffee shop inside the Days Inn hotel. If I could, I would give this place a negative 3 stars. Eat in Richfield yes, but DO NOT eat at the coffee shop inside Days inn. Maximus
