I always find it interesting to see the different layouts each Costa has. This location is on the smaller side but does have outside seating. It was also clean looking and the staff was friendly. I always get a pork salad but tried it with pinto beans this time. I may like it better that way but will have to try it again to know for sure. Not a knock on this particular location. This is my first time at any costa vida. I ordered the "barbacoa" burrito and I was completely caught off guard that it pretty much tasted like sweet pulled pork! I was expecting savory/spicy smokey but instead I got a mouthful of sweet baby ray's BBQ flavor. If I asked for barbacoa they should warn me that it's not what I would expect. It makes me angry that they continued to make my burrito and later I find out that it's sugary sweet pork. read more

As my wife tried to go in to place an order, an employee locked the door in front of her three minutes before closing and points at the sign on the door that reads 9:00 pm. My wife even asked to allow her to place the order while other guests were at the counter but the young lady refused. She called me crying and I then proceeded to call the store to speak to a manager. She said that looks like her team member was eager to close the doors on the first time they have changed their schedule. She then said that she did not know that this had happened, what not aware of your employees and customers. Locking the doors in front of a paying customer is very low and disappointing. My wife said that other people were there and looked at the employee as if she was serious. Great training managers, I understand that the business closes at a certain time but if you see a paying customer walking toward the door you do not turn them away. They have outstanding service. The food is delicious. The prices are a bang for your buck. And the general manager is a nice person. The workers are always friendly, and they really listen to what you want. A bonus is they are really fast with your order. However as soon as it was handed off the next server they grabbed the bowl from behind our order and started peppering cheese over the top of our order. I love this sort of niche restaurant--Tex Mex for cheap, an insanely high-calorie tortilla, fresh lettuce, house ranch, nice folks, a location that's close to me. And sweet pork. So I tried this for the first time today, I got a grilled chicken burrito and tried their various sauces picking their spiciest one for my burrito. The chicken burrito has a interesting flavor since their spicy sauce has a sweet taste to it and their chicken almost has a teriyaki chicken flavor to it like Waba Grill. Costa Vida is pretty American with it's flavors and isn't a authentic Mexican restaurant by any stretch but that doesn't mean it's not enjoyable.
