I was a bit frustrated with my prior optometrist. I felt like she was forcing her recommendation on me against my wish. I couldn't help but to think that she was getting commission from the sale of that particular product. So this year I decided to look for another eye care professional and found Dr. Khadem. She is beautiful inside out. It was so refreshing to meet a medical professional who is so humble and kind. She not only took care of my medical needs, she also helped me with getting my rebate! Dr. Neda Khadem - where do I even start? Thank you so much for taking care of my eyes!!!! I'm so happy I found your optometry office last year. Dr. Khadem is so kind and such a joy to be around. I appreciate everything she does for me. Thank goodness she opens her office one Saturday a month. It's a huge lifesaver for me, since I work full time during the week. Her staff is very sweet and welcoming every time I see them. The office is absolutely beautiful, they recently redecorated and it looks so nice! They have a ton of great options for glasses. She gave me trial pairs of contacts, and she wants me to figure out which pair makes my eyes the most comfortable. She always makes my eyes feel so much better. I love her for that!! I love this place. The staff is super friendly and considerate. I have 3kids whom I bring here (5,12 & 15yr old) and they enjoy every visit. I first came to Costa Mesa Optometry a couple years ago, and I recall Dr Khadem was running the office by herself at the time. She was gracious in helping to fill a prescription from another office for a pair of glasses. She had a decent selection of frames that were reasonably priced, especially compared to that other office where I originally got my prescription. When my insurance changed with my employer, I had to see another optometrist. Since Costa Mesa Optometry accepted my new insurance plan, I decided to go here for my contact lens exam. I saw Dr Khadem this time as a patient, and she is wonderful. It was the best experience I've had with an optometrist in Southern California (I've been to four), and I'm sad that I won't be a repeat patient for Dr Khadem as I'm moving soon. Also, the office recently moved. It feels like they're still settling in. But it's clean and a lot roomier than the old place. I like that you can feel free to browse their selection of frames while waiting, and Carmen who runs the front desk is also lovely. Definitely recommend! read more

I went in to see Dr. Khadem due to a scratched cornea and wanted to have it looked at. I when I called she was the one who answered the phone. It is a very small business that she has (just her and one other person). I knew that when she answered the phone I would be getting good customer service but I didn't know how good until I actually came in. When I came in she saw me pretty much right away and after looking at my eye she wanted me to put some antibiotic drops. But since I wasn't going to need to use them for very long, she gave me a free sample of drops so I wouldn't have to go and pay for a prescription (nice!). She is very nice and knowledgeable. She told me everything that was going on and what she wanted me to do and made sure I didn't have any unanswered questions. This is probably the best optometrist I have been to in the 20 years I have been wearing glasses/contacts. I highly recommend her. read more

I called in for a first appointment and was able to be scheduled in quickly. The staff was patient, helpful, and just generally nice to work with. The actual office building is located behind the Rite Aid, and although it took me a bit to find it, it's pretty accessible. Parking wasn't an issue either. Dr. Khadem was both knowledgable and warm, and my experience was quick, courteous, and actually enjoyable. I've never actually had a bad experience at an Optometrist's office, but I had never had a good one either until today! After my eye exam I ordered a year supply of contacts and then a couple days later changed my mind and wanted a different brand. I called her and she said that no problem she could order me a different brand. I just brought in the box and she exchanged it for another one. So easy and simple. She was so accommodating and made it such an easy exchange! You can tell she genuinely loves her job and just wants to provide a great service! I would give her 5 1/2 stars if i could. I found Dr. Khadem last year when I was looking for a new pair of glasses. I had gotten my eye exam done at another doctor's office, but didn't like any of the frames there. I visited a few other offices and didn't find anything I liked, but Dr. Khadem's office had several frames I liked, at good prices! I have been back a few times for adjustments and minor problems I had with the glasses (I ended up getting a pair of sunglasses, too) but I haven't had an exam with her yet. She is a very friendly, knowledgeable doctor. I love her upbeat but calm demeanor, and I am amazed that she remembers my name every time I go in! The only maybe-downside is that her office is pretty small--she's the only doctor, and sometimes she works the front desk herself too. I've never had to wait long, but I'm not sure if she gets busier at times. I think she also changed her hours recently so that she's not open on weekends anymore, which is kind of a bummer. But overall, I have enjoyed every experience I have had with Costa Mesa Optometry! read more

I had an appointment here last week for myself and my son. It was his first eye exam and the first one I have had had in several years. I was very impressed with Dr. Khadem, she was very friendly and professional and just makes you feel very comfortable. I was a bit worried about how my son would do since he is only 8 months old but he loved Dr. Khadem as well and was happy and smiling at her and just seemed to love the experience. Who knew an eye exam was so fun? It was quick and painless yet very thorough and she didn't try to sell us anything extra, in fact she said I probably wouldn't need to worry about glasses for several more years and that my son should have his next appointment in a couple years.
