I have to confess that I'm a bit of a pizza snob, as are my companions, so it's noteworthy that all three of us gave very high marks to the pies here. Dan and Azar both ordered the Neo Marguerita pizza (with mushrooms added), and I got the Funghi. I think a significant highlight of their Neo Marguerita pizzas was the sauce - extra rich and intense from tomato pulp - it enhanced all the other ingredients perfectly. My Funghi pizza was just a delight in every way. You simply can't go wrong with mushroom umami and the sweet intensity of caramelized onions. The cheese and crust were miraculous, too. Did I mention that this was on a Wednesday? My bad. It just so happens that on Wednesdays wines are half off! A crisp, clean Pinot Grigio paired well with our meal. Last, but certainly not least, the service was above par - efficient, friendly, and responsive. My takeaway: if you want authentic, delicious food and a welcoming vibe, go here! After spending the morning at the Houston Zoo, I was looking for a quick lunch spot nearby and decided to stop by Cosmo Eatery. What a pleasant surprise! The first thing that stood out was the ambiance. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful--modern, bright, colorful, and incredibly welcoming. The decor creates a fun and upbeat atmosphere that feels both stylish and comfortable. They even had the World Cup match playing on the flat-screen TVs, which added to the energy of the space. While waiting for our food, we enjoyed playing on the foosball table, which was a fun touch and helped make the wait fly by. I also appreciated that Cosmo Eatery serves halal food, which made it an easy choice for me. For lunch, I ordered the Avocado Chicken Club Sandwich, which came with fries and for a drink I ordered a lime mojito. The sandwich was exactly what you want from a classic chicken sandwich, fresh and satisfying. The fries were crispy and paired perfectly with the meal. The real standout, however, was the lime mojito. It was incredibly refreshing and honestly one of the best lime mojitos I've ever had. It was the perfect drink after walking around the zoo in the Houston heat. Between the beautiful atmosphere, friendly vibe, halal menu, and great food and drinks, Cosmo Eatery is a fantastic spot for lunch. If you're visiting the Houston Zoo or are in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. read more

It is not manned all the time because customers may want to order from the menu instead. The prices here are cheap, even less than Frank's or Telwink nearby. My catfish and eggs were $11.99 and it was only $1.50 to add an extra egg. The catfish may have been swai though given how mild it was, but the portions were comparable to the diner competitors. You also have to season the eggs and grits yourself like at other diners. As I was eating, customers started strolling in for lunch.
