I recently went there for an oil change and "check up". They said my rear brakes were bad. I had just had them done 12 000 miles ago. I took it to Barnsley Tire for a 2nd opinion and they agreed the brakes were worn. So I had it done at Corwin. While I was eating lunch, they called me to say the front brakes were bad too. The tech had told me 2 weeks ago that the front brakes were fine. They could not explain why that was. Did not get the front brakes fixed. They told me the brake pads were cracking and I needed it done right away. They sent me emails saying it was dire. I waited a month and took my car to Repair Masters in Boulder. First Time Buyers and Toyota Shoppers Beware... As much as I loved the 2024 Toyota Prius AWD that I bought from Corwin in December 2023, I have been taken advantage of... and had I not got into an accident and totaled my vehicle, I would've never caught it. Jason Bobbit, the finance manager at Corwin uses an iPad to have you sign off on payment terms, accepting or declining additional products, and even after declining all the products on the iPad, snuck a nonsensical product called Crystal Fusion and charged me $895 for it. Shoppers, please note: the payments they showed me didn't change. They already snuck it into the overall payment. Had he taken it out, my payment would've been lower and my overall amount financed would've been less - but I could've never known that since it's very obvious this wasn't a mistake. Note: they're not the only dealership that does this... other dealerships do it too... however, they're the only ones that actually had me sign off on declining the products on an iPad, then sneak it back on with the final paper contract - the last form. And yes, they act very friendly throughout the process to build trust, only to lie to you in the end with a smile on their face. I have visited the dealership and asked for a refund. I was told last Friday that the General Manager would call me on Monday to hopefully resolve this. However, he has since dodged all my calls and attempts to reach the dealership. And out of nowhere, I receive a packet from Crystal Fusion ---- FOUR MONTHS after supposedly buying it... I guess they didn't want to send it back then since it would've made it OBVIOUS that they snuck it in. Not at all surprised to see Corwin has only 2 stars. Here's my experience: I found a used 2017 Rav4 on Corwin's site to replace my Rav4 which was totaled in an accident. I made an offer, which was counter offered by their sales manager. I called to accept his offer. He had me put down a $500 deposit to hold the car until we could pick it up a few days later. On the day we were to pick it up, I get a call from a different salesperson. He said, we have SOLD your car! I told him I had placed a deposit down, but he kind of blew me off saying 'these things happen'. I called the GM, Greg and told him what happened. He offered me a deal on a 2020 Rav4. Though (even with the discount) it was $7K more than the 2017, we decided to get it. Part of our decision to get it was that it's ad said it was a Toyota Certified Used vehicle with warranty. When I returned to Corwin a week later to pick up the second key to the car, I asked if I would be receiving any paperwork about the Toyota warranty. I was told " This vehicle is NOT a Toyota Certified used". I said I have a screenshot of your ad (below) stating it was. They said they would not give me my warranty, despite what their ad said. I contacted the BBB and Toyota. Corwin countered with lie after lie. Unfortunately, both agencies said it was up to me to work it out with Corwin. Within 30 mins of driving after purchase, the electrical system and engine flicker off/on. * 3/19: Took to Dellenbach Subaru (DS) in Fort Collins to diagnose the electrical issue (and a general inspection) * 3/21: DS able to replicate the electrical/engine issue, but also finds engine oil in the coolant which could be a costly repair. Drove to CT. CT Sales Mgr MK says "they must have missed it" as CT's (pre-purchase) inspection report says the coolant was fine. CT agrees to do diagnostics on the car and fix it, then decides to pay DS for diagnostics. CT Services Mgr RUDY WAGNER (RW) now involved. * 4/2: DS unable to replicate the electrical system/engine issue since their last approved extension by CT (I too experienced the car work fine for stretches of time) and needs further approval by CT to continue. He says he will drive it from DS to CT and test it. * 4/29: Services Mgr RW says the car's ready and "someone" poured engine oil in the coolant rather than an oil leak. Considering the oil was changed by CT the day before I purchased the car, I think we all know who did it. Or CT missed the engine oil in the coolant entirely. Either way, incompetence abounds. Rudy says he went on lengthy test drives and it performed fine. * 5/2: I go to pick the car up. CT can't find my car in the system or my keys for a while. Services Mgr RW and Sales Mgr MK say they've test driven and inspected the car, and it's fixed. On their service report, the odometer increased by 3 miles. THE CAR DIDN'T MAKE IT OUT OF THE PARKING LOT BEFORE IT FAILED. * 5/9: Test another car and CT's inspection report states the lights are all good. It's missing an entire fog light. If you buy a car here, I would be very careful about one thing. My experience was horrible. They give you a temporary tag for 60 days but they simply don't process your DMV paperwork internally. They never mail you anything that you can take to the DMV. I found out 4 days before my tag expired that the paperwork was ready. But it takes a week or two to get a DMV appointment. So have fun getting pulled over by the police for expired tags before you get your new plates. If you buy a car here, I would recommend calling the dealership every 3-5 days for the next 60 days from the day you walk out the door, asking if your paperwork is ready. If you want to avoid this hassle, pick a different dealership that treats their customers better! read more

We had 2 absolutely bad experiences with this dealership. The lack of professionalism, respect, clarity, and honesty this new sales team has is very enraging. We are looking for a car and made reservations to speak to a sales rep. When we got there, not only did appointed rep not meet us and being busy with other customers, but also had another incapable person to deal with us. We were told that the dealership had the cars we are looking for, and it was a complete trickery to get us waste 1 and a half hour waiting around and finally told us that they don't have the cars we want. We made it very clear what we are looking for and they kept shoving the cars that we are uninterested. There's no initial intro of the features of the cars, no sincere apologies of their dishonesty, and no supportive intentions to explain the situation. We took time off from work and sincerely want to find a car, but was met with sluggish attitude from this team of people. Absolute worst experience I've ever had at a dealership. I've had my car a month so far, and I've already spent over six hours on perpetual hold, trying to get them to just follow through with their end of the agreement. I'm honestly at the point of thinking of taking this to court for breach of contract, just because it's been ridiculously frustrating to just get my torn armrest replaced, as was agreed to in the contract. They said somebody would come out to do it at my house or job, before I signed the papers; then, after signing, said that I could take it in when I brought it in for one of my first 3 free oil changes, and it should only take about an hour; then I'm told they don't see any record of the three free oil changes, or mention of the armrest in the agreement or it ever being ordered. then a couple more hours of waiting on hold, before getting fed up, and just going into the store again, which has been the only way to actually talk to somebody, since their default is to just put you on perpetual hold. I have a copy of the agreement that states they would do it, and I have audio recordings of all my interactions with them, with many contradictions in their stories. They lie and manipulate things just to get you into a car, then say whatever they have to, just to get you to go away after. Including perpetual hold and telling you they'll call you back when they never do. Of the 17 times I was told I'd be called back, I was actually called back once. The common narrative is that I need to talk to a manager at a different department. So I've been bounced between my salesman, his manager, parts, service, and most recently they're saying this is something I need to take up with the finance manager.. What? It seriously blows my mind that some thing that should be so simple (and already written in the contract) is now being kicked over to finance, since, apparently, nobody can help me, or see it in the computer. All of this over just getting my town armrest replaced as was agreed to prior to purchasing my 35k RAV4.. that should say everything you need to know about dealing with this dealership. They may recommend costly repairs that are not only not needed but maybe replacing something that is in perfect order. The Good: the only reason for 2 stars (with hesitance) instead of 1 is the service advisor (Angela) was very responsive during the course of both my initial and follow up service visits. The Bad: a costly repair was recommended for my Toyota for a setting they changed during initial service... -After my initial service, my rear trunk liftgate motor no longer worked (only beeped when I tried to open it) even though it worked immediately before I brought it in. -I asked them if a setting could have been changed or something could have been inadvertently adjusted during service that would cause it to stop working like that. They said there was nothing that could have been done during service that would cause that issue but asked me to bring it back in for assessment. -I brought it back in and they spent over an hour doing an assessment and told me that the motor had gone bad and no longer worked, thus needing a replacement for almost $800. -I asked if that was reasonable that it stop working suddenly when it worked perfectly immediately before the service. They informed me that it happens sometimes that the motors just give out. My car has low mileage and thus has not had a lot of overuse or wear and tear. -I decided to hold off on the service (thankfully). After a month and a half of opening my back liftgate manually, I did a quick internet search and immediately found information about a button inside the car to turn off the power door option for the liftgate. Once I pushed that button the liftgate started working again. Therefore, the motor was perfectly FINE. -It is incredibly concerning that, not only did the service team tell me that there is no adjustment that could have been made during service that made the door stop working, but that when they spent over an hour assessing the issue their conclusion was that the motor had stopped working and needed replacement. So either the Toyota service professionals do not understand how a Toyota works or they misled me to create a costly repair. Both are concerning. Had I done the repair that day, I would have never realized this was the issue. Lesson learned: it is not always wise to do the recommended repair on the spot. read more

This is an unethical business. They lied to me and misled me several times. I leased a car from them. On Thursday, the Sales Manager agreed on a $2,000 discount from MSRP. On Friday, I gave them a non-refundable deposit. When I went to get the car on Monday, the Sales Manager I spoke with was on vacation and they tried to charge full price. When I objected, they cut the price $1,000 and said the $2,000 discount assumed that I would trade in my old car for $1,000 less than its value. This was a lie. The Sales Manager and I agreed on the $2,000 discount before we even discussed a trade. When I said I was going to buy from one of their competitors, they offered to match the ​competitor's price. I told them I didn't want to do business with them regardless of price and started to leave. At this point, they agreed to honor their $2,000 discount. Next I started filling out paperwork with a new sales associate (the one I had worked with on Thursday was off), and the price included an extra $900 in useless dealer accessories. I said that I told the prior sales associate that I did not want them and would not pay for them. He pointed out that they were ​disclosed on the offer sheet (in fine print on the bottom ​far away from all the other relevant numbers and not included in the Selling Price). He said I had to pay for them because they were already installed on the car. This was a lie. After I took delivery, I discovered none of them had been installed on the car. I did not pay for them. Next it was off to the financing department to do the lease documents. I had to lease to get a Toyota rebate. I asked two different sales associates and two people in finance if I could pay off the lease after two months without penalty. They all said yes. Two months later, I called Toyota Financial and said I wanted to pay off my lease and buy the car. They said in my state I had to do that through the dealer. So I made an appointment​ at the dealer. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from my original sales associate, who said a message had come across his desk telling him that because I was terminating the lease so early, I would have to pay a substantial penalty to repay part of the rebate. I asked for details such as (1) how much is the penalty, (2) on what date could I prepay without penalty, and (3) what part of the documents that I signed described the penalty. After two days, I called back, and the only answer they could give me was that I should keep the lease in place for 3-6 months to avoid the penalty. This was also a lie. I called Toyota Financial and asked them about the penalty and they said there was no such thing. They suggested I pay off the lease at another dealer, which I did without hassle and without penalty. Since the change in ownership to Corwin the service is horrendous. I bought my 2017 4Runner new at Larry miller and have had 13 oil changes which all took less than an hour. My first oil change at the end of 2023 took 2.75 hours under Corwin. Today it took 5 hours for an oil change and rear brakes. They change the service model to over book the amount of vehicles they do in a day. So an oil change takes at least 2.5 hours. I have seen many customers complaining while I waited another hour and that was after I came back 4 hours later figuring it would be done. 5 hrs for oil change and rear brakes. We all know it does not take 5 hours. My service guy was super nice and tried his best . I'll be heading over to Stevenson from now on . They do my wife's Lexus and it's an hour every time. read more

Terrible communication from Corwin. I called in around 1:00 in the afternoon to make an appointment to test drive a used car that they had listed on their website. I got an appointment set up for 6:00 that evening and received a text at 5:00 pm to make sure I was still coming in, which I confirmed. When I got to the dealership, I was greeted by a salesman who informed me that the salesperson I had been texting back and forth with all day was not available. I told him which car I was there to see, and came back about five minutes later and told me it had sold that day. There is a $500 nonrefundable deposit to put cars on hold, which is all well and good except that I was not told this on the phone or over text by any of the salesmen. When I brought up that I hadn't been informed and that I had been texted an hour before, the salesman I was speaking with simply said that the other salesman "didn't do his job." Any fragments of customer service disintegrated the second I left my keys in the sales trailer at Larry H. Miller Toyota Boulder With the supply chain issues created by the pandemic, I didn't have an issue finding a fair number to settle on for my 2020 4Runner TRD Pro. The issue was that once Mark and the Nipple Guy received the title to my vehicle, they became utterly useless, brain dead scum. This sales team is as greasy as they come, and beyond their misery, no one should have to take it in the behind for a Toyota of all cars. That said, there are three key red flags I would like to point out to anyone considering working with these fools. 1.) I did not receive a check for almost two weeks after giving them my vehicle, and I eventually had to drive there and pick it up myself after threatening to blow up the deal. 2.) I tried to purchase an additional used vehicle within this timeframe and no one returned my call. 3.) They cannot get new inventory right now, so they will absolutely bend you over to make up for it. I held up my end of the deal. I gave them my vehicle, then returned the paper work and title the day after I received it, yet I had to pull teeth to get a payment. That salesman ended up getting fired, and the next one we dealt with told me I had to pay an extra $1500 since I was not doing a trade in. The next major issue is the $5,000 bumper to bumper warranty they sold me. My windshield was cracked and when I brought the vehicle to another Toyota dealership, they said I had to bring it to corwin for the repair. I called Corwin to schedule an appointment and they said they don't fix windshields and that I need to pay out of pocket to a windshield repair company and then file an insurance claim. I called the warranty department and they said they will not pay for the repair since I didn't report the cracked windshield in time. Everyone I have spoken with at Corwin Toyota has been a piece of shit cocksucker and I will never buy another vehicle from them. You better make sure you have a full day to sit around if you plan to buy a car here. In the end I am happy with the car we bought, but the actual experience of buying the car was subpar. My husband and I sat for a total of 6 hours (and counting...we are sitting here still waiting as I type this). About once an hour someone would come and say "don't worry, you're up next to meet with the finance guy!" and then we would proceed to continue waiting. Ugh, don't waste your time at this place. They're shady and disrespectful and will lie to your face! I've been on the waitlist for a Rav 4 for a while now and been in contact with one of their sales associates, Eduardo. They happened to get one in today, and he sent over the spec sheet with the price, which included some dealer handling fees. Ok fine, they gotta make their money off of it. I drive up from Denver and then get handed off to a newer guy (James O. / Jimmy) when I go in since Eduardo's gonna be busy with someone else. Jimmy is super nice and tells me he is still learning the ropes. We test drive, start going through numbers on their price sheet, and Jimmy is a bit confused since the price sheet is purposely deceiving (some numbers are there, but some aren't, like totals and interest rates on loans) but we walk through it and have an understanding of the out the door price (what I was sent by Eduardo + tax). I sign off saying I'm ready to take the next step. Eduardo (suddenly not busy) comes back over and says he's there to answer any questions, so i go back over what Jimmy and I talked about that I'm paying as the out the door price. He says no no, we add a $3k market adjustment, and that the amount on the sheet is WITHOUT tax. Uhhh? What? He never told me that. I would not have driven up there to get a bunch of money added to the price. He kept trying to tell me that he told me it would be the price he sent me plus $3k more (he didn't). We then go in circles with him saying every other dealership will do the same, that I'll have to wait six months anywhere else, blah blah, just to justify that he brought me there under false pretenses. He then brings over his manager who tries the same thing, and then says he can't sell it to me for the price i was told, and someone else is coming tomorrow who will pay more. Look, i know some dealerships mark up cars to make more off of them. But if you're going to do that, BE HONEST AND UP FRONT ABOUT IT and don't have me drive up from Denver at night with a false price. I am pretty annoyed that this Miller/ Boulder Toyota, they add 10k to the sticker price on a tacoma TRD PRO. To be more clear, The truck sticker price is 48k they added an additional 20% just because "they can" as they bluntly told me. Supply and demand they say? I get it. But 10k is straight up greedy. They also said they would of been open to taking a little bit off the top of the 10k if I bought from them before? Sorry I didn't know you had a rip off scheme where you can just make up pricing...Yea, well buddy, you aren't getting my business ever now... And will make it a point to keep at least some business away from you guys because you are unethical in your approach to car sales. Your business model is the Epitome of why people hate dealing with dealerships and salesmen. As their back up scheme, they are more than happy to sell you their "Boulder Package" for an additional $9500 on a Tacoma SR5. Worst experience I have ever had at a car dealership. The sales associate I was working with, Youssef, was great and negotiated an excellent deal with me. But when I arrived and had questions about the financial details, the general manager, Greg Heinz, was giving me completely inaccurate information about lease payments and the lease buyout related to the rebates offered on the Rav4 Prime. I knew all these details inside and out because I had already discussed them with three other local Toyota dealers. Greg was condescending the entire time I tried to explain how the rebates worked and refused to let me speak to a finance employee. I ultimately left, went to Groove Toyota, and got an equally good deal on the Rav4 Prime and the Finance Director at Groove explained Greg was completely wrong, broke down all the payment details, and confirmed everything I believed about the financing.
