I traveled from out of state on 9/6/25 to pick up a 2024 Camry XSE with 26K miles (Vin 4T1K61AK7RU240287, Stock # 4240287) for $27K, after being assured that it was in "excellent condition" and that I would "love it." However, after spending over $600 on flights, Ubers, and a hotel, I walked away empty-handed due to undisclosed paint issues. There was a large 12-inch scrape on the rear passenger door, damage to the trunk lid that I would describe as embarrassing plus others (see attached photos). Corwin Toyota should be ashamed to offer this car for sale on their lot. I was also told that the GM would be back on Monday to discuss possible solutions, and that I would hear from someone on Monday afternoon--it's 4 days later and this never happened. It's a classic case of over-promising and under-delivering. It seems like Corwin Toyota might be so focused on new car sales that the used car division gets neglected. No matter what you hear around town, Corwin is still upholding the service tradition of all past owners of what we still refer to as Boulder Toyota. Paul is the last of the "old guard" in parts and can "find anything" even if not made new anymore. And service staff has been known to find a way to even install an upgrade on a vehicle of this age. In our case, we had a tailgate that was inoperable, so they found a salvage part for us. When it arrived, it was visually unacceptable to have been rated by the supplier as higher than its actual condition. The service staff called and asked permission to spend a little bit more on price to have them disassemble and take out the parts needed to make ours operable again. It was the best case scenario as we now have a working tailgate that looks original from appearance. Give them a chance and being kind to staff in such a fast paced workplace is beneficial to all concerned. read more

Corwin and Toyota sent me messages requesting a review. Here's an honest review. Corwin should not be trusted. I scheduled a routine oil change service based on an advertised price. The Advertised oil change price no longer includes needed tire rotation, which Toyota recommends. Corwin Recommended very expensive overpriced unnecessary fuel and oil "treatments' contrary to Toyota guidelines, which I refused. Corwin tacked on an additional 16% "environmental/misc fee" which was not included in the advertised price. They charged an additional 3% for use of a credit card; also not included in advertised price and ILLEGAL in Colorado (C.R.S. § 5-2-212). They recommended other costly unnecessary or premature services, such as replacing both air filters which were almost new and in pristine condition and replacing all the tires. My existing Firestone Destination LE2 tires are rated for 70,000 miles and have less than 23,000 miles--the tread looks and measures good. The service guy strongly pushes expensive additives, which turns out to be mostly paint thinner (according to the Product Safety Data Sheet filed with the OSHA) and is detrimental to engine and fuel system. Toyota Corporation is on record (in the Toyota User Manual for my vehicle on the Toyota website) against this in the continental USA. Based on documents and tips provided by Corwin employees, Corwin knows that, but persists in the practice to make an extra buck despite the risk of engine damage. I left numerous messages for Corwin management about this and got no reply until this review was posted. On top of this, the reminder sticker they put on the windshield does not have the date and mileage of the oil change service just performed, only a date six months or 5000 miles for next oil change, but Toyota recommends 10,000 miles between synthetic oil changes. Corwin doesn't miss an opportunity to deceive and rip-off the service customer. If despite all this you choose to use Corwin for service, beware. The actual mechanical work done seems OK. I wish Corwin would stop the above anti-consumer practices. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at this Toyota dealership. Less than a year ago, I purchased a used vehicle from them for over $22,000 and had to spend an additional $1,100 out of pocket to get a second key fob. This is the vehicle I rely on for traveling to and from fire assignments with my national Incident Management Team. When I recently returned to trade it in for something better suited to my needs, they offered me just $11,000--eventually raising it to $13,000. That's a massive drop in value in under a year. I even offered to settle at $18,000 and pay full sticker price on another vehicle, but they wouldn't even consider it. This leaves me questioning whether I was overcharged initially, undervalued now, or both. What's even more frustrating is the lack of follow-up. I reached out to management to discuss the situation, and no one ever returned my calls. That level of customer service is unacceptable, especially for a returning customer. As a result, I won't be bringing my wife's RAV4 back there for service any longer to include the recently recommended work for new brakes and tires all around and she will be taking her business elsewhere when she looks to upgrade to a 4 Runner later this year. Additionally, I have quite a few friends who are students at CU that I was stationed with overseas in the Air Force and currently work with hundreds of first responders across the Rocky Mountain Region and Front Range, and word travels fast. In fact, Our Team is on assignment for the big fires in Nebraska right now and after sharing my experience, others on our Team who had previously purchased from this dealership are now reconsidering where they'll go in the future. My wife and I went in to seek information on the Toyota Rav4 hybrid and plug in hybrid. The salesman was not knowledgeable and in fact knew less than we did. We managed to test drive and asked about the process for placing an order (the dealership didn't have what we wanted). Over the next few weeks we were passed between at least 3 different people. None of them could help us. They would call and text with no recollection of our previous conversations and kept telling us to come in and test drive (which we had already done). We even set an appointment with Michael B to walk through the process of lacing an order. He never showed up and they pawned us off on an entirely new person who knew nothing about the Rav4. This place is deceitful and dishonest. I took my truck in for an oil change (I had a coupon for $54.95), break inspection and a diagnostic of my "check engine light". The service person, Rudolpho, showed me the two charges for these services, $54.95 for the oil change and $229 to run a diagnostic on the "check engine light". They had my vehicle most of the day, I finally called to find out what was going on, and he said they could not fix the oxygen sensor which was why the "check engine light" was on, and the charge for the oil change was $129. I had to remind him that I had a coupon for $54.95, oh of course he forgot. When I picked up my truck they charged me $54.95 plus another $9 for environmental stuff. I don't really care about $9 but I do care about people lying to me. He conveniently didn't tell me about the additional $9 or he decided to add it on at the last minute because I had a coupon. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!!! If you want to have someone who has no idea what they are doing and is going lie to your face this is your best bet. After I stood in the parking lot after and oil change and inspection, the glove box was still open and there was no cabin air filter in the truck. Now I'm no rocket scientist or a mechanic but if the cabin air filter is black and full of dry leaves I'm quite sure it needs to be changes. As the young special individual knocked out the filter on the curb and gutter in front of me and said "there I cleaned it out for you" he then put it back in the glove box and left. This was absolutely terrifying, I hope they remembered to but oil back in the truck if they even changed it. You would be better off finding a drunk homeless man in the Target parking lot and having the do your maintenance on your vehicle. read more

Long story short; I bought a car from them they messed something up. When I took it back to get fixed I was given the run around and left waiting for 30 minutes until I decided to go to different people for help. Upon leaving an original bad review, I was contacted by the manager Mark. He told me he would not fix my car even though they were the ones who messed it up....Unless I took down my bad review, even though they were the ones who emailed me asking me for my honest feedback. He was aggressive, unprofessional and a poor representation of what a manager is supposed to be. They kept my car for another week to fix their error and as luck would have it I'm still having the same issues post them working on it. And of course made it a little worse. I put a deposit down over the phone for a used jeep. and 2 hours later they call and say. Oh we might have a problem. Someone is test driving the Jeep Then I never get a call or text telling me what is going on. After the weekend I call several times and text. No response. Finally I get on the website and ask to speak to a manager. Then I get told. Oh yeah it got sold. When the Internet manager took my info card information for the thousand dollar deposit and told me that it was nonrefundable. Went down, sat with a salesperson, assumed we were close to a sale, Greg comes up shakes my hand, smiles, all the politeness of a decent human being. Told him I really, really, wanted to buy locally here. The numbers were so close I tried to barter for 1k=NO. $500=No. $300=No. He did the pressure stare down for an immediate signature routine. When I said no thank you, hoping he would counter for the $50k purchase he was, ungraciously gone like a leaf in a 90mph Colorado windstorm. Happily I never gave in, realizing I was spot on with the another dealer's OTD price, and treated far better. This left me realizing how other Corwin reviews on google, and Yelp were pretty accurate about this dealership and guy, he's ruthless rude. Purchased a used Tacoma, figured buying one from a Toyota Dealer was a good idea. Not a great idea to buy from Corwin Boulder. First off, paid cash for truck, made deal to get new tires. I paid for the tires but Corwin did not get it done (had over 2 weeks to do the job) before agreed pickup date. They ended up refunding the amount I paid since they could not do their job right. Picked up truck then after less than 2 months of having the truck, AC compressor went out. Did not buy warranty (my bad) but called to see if they could help out on cost to fix. Gave them my estimate I got from another mechanic shop, and was given an estimate from Corwin Boulder for $150 less than original estimate. I will say my bad for not buying warranty. We go for a test drive, the car has audible rattling, the check engine light is on. I ask him if the car is certified preowned, he assures me that it is. I ask him very simple questions about the car, features, mpg, etc -all very basic stuff you think a salesman would know about the car he's trying to sell "haha oh I didnt bring my phone so I can't answer any of your questions." I ask again that the car is CPO, he again states that it is and that if we bought it they would fix the check engine light and the rattling before we left. We sat down with him because if it's CPO then it has an outstanding warranty and they have to fix everything. He goes to run some numbers and comes back "unfortunately that vehicle is not certified preowned and is sold as is..." WHY THE xxxx DID YOU LIE TO ME AND MAKE ME RUSH TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A CAR THAT DIDNT FIT WHAT I WANTED. To top it off, there were NO CPO RAV4 XLEs in stock, so Luke completely wasted our time. He asked again what we were looking for...seconds after we told him for the inventory search and after I had already stated what I wanted multiple times prior. You know what his question was after my wife said that we were only looking for certified preowned XLEs? "Oh ok so new cars only" -xxx?!? I purchased a truck, regretfully, at Corwin Toyota. Here's why I would not recommend them again... 1) Poor service. I had asked to be pre-approved because I have a one year old and didn't want to spend hours at the dealership. I communicated this several times to which the salesman, Clay, responded that we can get you approved while you're here, which tells me he didn't hear my concern about making this a quick process. Then, I waited over a week for someone to call from financing to go over the application with me over the phone. After waiting the week, I had to call them back and got the same response, "let's deal with that while you're here." I was finally able to apply for financing online since they refused to have anyone call me. After applying, I got a phone call saying I was ore-approved and that I wouldn't have to deal with Clay and that the GM would take over my sale, which did not happen when I showed up. When they called to tell me I was preapproved, it took me asking a few times to learn what the APR was, as I was insistent on knowing because I wasn't going to drive over an hour of it wasn't good. 2) There are two deep rock chips in the paint so I asked for them to toss in a $15 paint pen. Clay, the salesman, couldn't agree to that without manager approval, but when I told the finance manager about that conversation, he said he'd have one overnighted. It's been a few days and I have yet to see one arrive in the mail. 3) I sent two emails to the dealership's GM, Greg Heinz, which got ignored. When I called to follow up on whether they could toss in a Yeti cooler that they were giving away for new truck purchases, but I felt would be a nice way for them to say thank you for spending the same amount on a used vehicle as new vehicles cost, and for dealing with the poor service, Greg said I was being nitpicky for listing off why my experience was poor, he then called me a cry baby toddler, and said he thought I was blackmailing him. Aggressive, egotistical, and immature to say the least. 4) The inspection report showed the tires were 7-8 32nds, but when I got home I measured and they were at 4 32nds, meaning they need to be replaced if I want to drive on I70 in the winter. I didn't ask the dealer for any thing tire related (new tires or a discount on new tires) as a result, just pointed out the error. 5) I asked for a copy of the maintenance records that Corwin provided to the prior owner who had it serviced there, but was told they are not obligated to provide that and that the carfax has some of those details. I only wanted the actual records so I knew when to get the next services done. Greg, the GM, acted like I was asking for too much and declined to provide those. Overall, my experience was absolutely miserable, mostly due to the GM, Greg Heinz' unprofessional, overly aggressive, and disrespectful response to my constructive criticism about what I think they could improve on. If you have a choice to buy from any other dealership, do it. There are plenty of corporations not ran by an egotistical, power tripping, used car salesman mentality GM. I'll be sure to let everyone I know that's buying a new vehicle to absolutely not do business with Corwin Toyota Boulder or any other Corwin dealership. Took my car in for an early morning appointment/inspection on an electric car (should be relatively quick with lack of major maintenance), was told it wouldnt be until mid afternoon that they would be done with it because sometimes software updates can take time (6 hours?) when all was said and done and the car was in there for 6 hours, they didn't even bother charging it which I had to bring the car in from out of town, so now not only do I have to stop to charge the car that could have been charging the entire time it was there, but I am now late to work, because what should have been a quick early morning inspection as now turned into an all day event. The price was fair, and the salesman was decent -- but the finance rep could use a lesson in basic customer service. Unfortunately, the real issue started after I drove off the lot. While still in Boulder, I noticed a serious audio glitch: the sound system would skip based on how fast I was driving -- fine in park, but terrible on the road. With a long 6-hour drive back to New Mexico ahead and no time to turn back (my pitbull was home alone), I pushed through the trip. I contacted Lexus of Albuquerque and had the vehicle checked just two days later. Their techs discovered the Mark Levinson amplifier was shot and that several fault codes were likely present before the sale. It cost me over $2,000 to fix, though Lexus helped by only charging me for the part. The vehicle was out of commission for two weeks while repairs were completed. I tried getting a response from the salesman and his GM -- calls and messages were ignored after a brief missed call. I later found that the issue may have stemmed from a botched battery installation, something known to cause problems in these SUVs. Always Buy Toyota -- NEVER BUY FROM CORWIN I bought a vehicle at Corwin Toyota Boulder and, like many people, trusted the dealership to treat me ethically. That trust was completely misplaced. The finance team sold me a maintenance plan they claimed was Toyota-backed, tied to my VIN, and usable at any Toyota dealership nationwide. The only reason I agreed was because I don't live near Boulder and needed flexibility. Reality? The plan wasn't Toyota-backed at all--it was a Corwin-only third-party plan that I can't use anywhere else. None of this was disclosed at the time of sale. They even showed me documents with Toyota logos to make it look official. When I brought this up? Their response was a canned line: "Toyota denies any wrongdoing." No apology. No accountability. No offer to make it right. Just deflection. This dealership is the definition of misleading. They count on customers trusting the Toyota name while pushing their own third-party junk. I scheduled an appointment for that next Monday to see it, and they set the appointment and even confirmed it on that Monday. Then, only AFTER we had driven an hour and a half to get there from where we were staying, did they let us know that the car was not available to see, and was actually still in the body shop. He invited us to come see it the next day, but we were flying out then. Turns out, the car didn't get back until a few days later, which I get was not entirely under their control, but a: I'm glad we didn't wait, and b: they definitely need better communication interdepartmentally. He was able to send us pictures of the vehicle, but was completely unwilling to negotiate price based on their faux pas. read more

My first and only visit to Corwin about a Toyota (not purchased there) for a fix that made the car pretty unusable. I'm reasonably handy but my attempts failed so resigned to a service appt, I went there and met with Eli a "service advisor". Quotes 'cuz these days that's usually nothing but a scheduler. So he's making the appt and asking me about my attempts but also diagnosing the issue (Eli knew his stuff) whence he asked did you try this? I had not and that little tip saved me a service call. The bigger point being that Eli was focused on solution even at the expense of some bucks for the company. Been taking my 2017 Prius to this shop since it was Miller Toyota. Won't go there anymore. Last service I mentioned to the service writer that my antenna was broken and wanted to replace it. They said they would have to order it. No follow up, never ordered it or got back to me. The 3 weeks later my battery want dead although they supposedly tested it and reported it "green", in good shape. I need a service department that does what they say and I can count on for professional work, not just "get as many customers through the door as possible". read more

We were working with Cristian Duenas for the past couple of days hunting down a specific sienna that we located in Colorado Springs with Corwin as their name as well. When we spoke on the phone day before yesterday he assured me that he could bring the mini van to Boulder if we chose. We made arrangements to test drive a used 2025 sienna to see if we liked how it drove. First off my name is Laura not Lauren. We were told the car on the springs he could bring up was sold- after a call to verify it wasn't. It's still for sale this evening if anyone is interested. He then did the hard pressure sell for the used cars on the lot that we repeatedly expressed no interest in. Also, when buying a used 2025 car- if you look at the sticker it's in direct conflict with his you betcha it's still under manufacture warranty he maintained. read more

In addition to having a horrific experience with the sales team earlier in the year, I made the mistake of giving the service team a try. Big mistake. This is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. No wonder they only have a 2 star rating. The place looks good but have poorly trained employees working there. Save your time, patience, energy, money, etc. Corwin Toyota sales team has lived up to the reputation of being misleading, dishonest, shifty, and speaks out both sides of their mouth. In attempting to coordinate an out-of-town purchase of a used vehicle, a few concerns were mentioned from the beginning of negotiations. The salesmen ensured all 3 concerns were valid and would be rectified in order to make the purchase. To ensure the vehicle was in good mechanical condition, we hired a private mechanic to test drive and do an independent inspection - paying out of our own pocket. After confirming that our original 3 concerns should be addressed prior to purchasing the vehicle, the salesmen then said the manager would not fix the 3 things we previously discussed and agreed upon - prior to arranging for the mechanic's pre-purchase inspection. We were told we would receive a follow-up phone call the next day regarding what the manager would be willing to address. We are now 3 days later with no word from anyone at this dealership. Not only are we out hundreds of dollars, but the time, frustration, and distrust in this business is only growing. Do yourself a favor and do not allow yourself to be subjected to the dishonest, misleading, manipulative and unethical business practices of Corwin Toyota. read more

Wife's windshield fluid system had a leak. They charged us $200+ to fix it on top of a $250 diagnostic fee. Three months later it's leaking again. Also tried to get us to pay $5k for an alleged wire harness. Turned out it was a faulty O2 sensor which they said they checked. Don't know if they're incompetent or predatory -- probably both -- but either way you should avoid this place unless you absolutely have to go there. Plenty of other independent shops around that will do a better job for less. read more

Shady, manipulative dealer--STAY AWAY. I inquired last month about getting into a new vehicle, and was asked to come into the dealer. Upon picking a day and arriving at the dealership, I sat in a chair for 45 minutes while two or three representatives walked around, looking for a manager in order to answer two basic questions: can I test drive a vehicle, and what are the sales numbers for this vehicle. in the end, I left empty-handed with no numbers, and no test drive and was told that someone would reach back out to me in order to discuss the cost of the car - this never happened and I called back in discussing my story and was transferred to a new sales representative, who proceeded to text me confusing numbers on the vehicle, resulting in a one day long text conversation back-and-forth that I showed to others around me and all of us agreed that it did not make any sense. I sent an email to the sales manager at the dealer about my experience, hoping to discuss this with somebody that could help me clarify the numbers on the vehicle and received no response three weeks later at this point. I called the dealer and requested to speak to a sales manager. They instead forwarded me to the last sales representative. I had spoken to who I went on to communicate that the numbers that I had been sent in the communications via text had been very confusing and I had put $1000 deposit down on this vehicle and that I would like the deposit back and I would like to talk to somebody else to clarify these numbers in the meantime in case I still decided to purchase with Corwin. The sales rep immediately became defensive and noticeably hostile and I was forced to end the call shortly there after due as he made it clear we weren't going to get anywhere communicating over the phone. I've never attempted to purchase a vehicle from a dealership, but I must say this is the worst car buying experience I've ever had in my life. The customer service was F-, and attempting to take somebody's money and claim a nonrefundable deposit for no product purchased is unethical and illegal. I don't recommend purchasing from this dealer. read more
