This was the 2nd time I took a vehicle to Corwin. This is the 2nd time I arrived at my appointment time and my vehicle just sits for a significant amount of time before it is moved into the shop. It would be easy for me to complain that I waited 2 hours to have a new ignition key made; however, FOMOCO didn't make things simple. My car has a "unique" transceiver chip not found in other years/models so it took a while for the tech to zero in on the specific frequency and then pair it to my car. The young service writer was very polite and professional and kept me informed throughout the process. While I wish it could have happened sooner, it is what it is. I used to come to the Ford Dealership when it was handled by Legacy Ford. Our family has purchased several vehicles from them and were incredibly pleased with their staff and process. That being said, the new ownership is awful. Several of my friends and family members will never purchase a vehicle from Corwin and will not have their car serviced there again. When I phoned to schedule an oil changed, I voiced my concern about my windshield wipers being replaced and the service agent asked me if it was necessary or I just thought they needed to be replaced. When I arrived for my appointment, I had to wait several minutes inside before a representative made themselves available to check in my car. I checked to see if my concern about windshield wipers was addressed and the person rolled their eyes at me and asked if I really needed blades. When I asked for the phone number to call when the car was done to be my own cell, I was met with more attitude. When I went to pick up my car, the service attendant had misplaced the paperwork and I was asked if I had actually be called that my car was done or if I had just showed up. All in all this was a terrible experience and I will never step foot near Corwin Ford again. read more

Had my car serviced here several times. The first time they didn't tighten the lug nuts on the left front wheel and when I called them on it they tried to say it was my fault! One year later I gave them another chance and they did it again! Only this time it damaged the wheel and cost me over $1200 for new wheels! Wednesday, November 20, 2019 Yesterday I had my 2013 Ford Explorer serviced by Corwin Ford. I would rate their service at a maximum of 1 out of 5. Heres why... In June 2019 I receive a recall letter from Ford, stating there is an issue with exhaust fumes reportedly penetrating the cab of the Explorer. Since I've never smelled anything & the letter suggests I have the option to get a free fix to the problem... I choose to let it go. In July 2019 I get a recall notice about a suspension problem that needs to be repaired at Ford's expense. This sounds much more important. So I call and make an appointment. They can't schedule me until Nov. 19th, 2019. Four months seems to be a little long, but I schedule both recalls and an oil change. Or their "The Works" package for a gas engine. In the middle of Oct. 2019, I get an e-mail from Ford ...stating I have no maintenance scheduled. So I call Corwin Ford to find out if that is true. After several callbacks, & with much effort, she found my Nov 19th, 2019 scheduled recalled maintenance repair... whereupon she e-mailed me a verified calendar schedule. On Nov. 19th, 2019 at around 8:30 AM I drove to Corwin Ford in Pasco for the appointment. Arriving early, I answered all the questions.. And they said "The Works" would cost me $54.++ dollars! I told him that when I bought the SUV in Dec. 2015 I paid an extra $2,500 for "full maintenance package" He said "OH" and reset the charges to $0.00. He did that without looking anything up... leading me to believe he knew that before I showed up!!! I think he was counting on my 70 years of potential dementia to get more money. Well, I can't prove that... so I went to the waiting room for my shuttle ride home. Over an hour later the ride showed up... At around 3 PM Corwin calls me and states my SUV is just about done. I say I need a ride & she says she will send a shuttle. Less than 30 min later the shuttle is at my door. We go back to Corwin. As I get out and walk to the check out counter a clerk says "I'll be right with you." and motions for me to a seat in the waiting room. I don't know how long I was waiting for her to "get to me..." but at least 30 min I got up and walked to the counter and said, "They said my Explorer was ready to pick up." She said, "oh yes, the paperwork is right here." Which mildly confused me... if the paperwork was "right here." Why did I have to wait?? Oh well... Then she said I needed to sign the work invoices... "STATEMENT OF DISCLAIMER" Where it stated that Corwin would not be responsible for any damage, stolen, lost, etc. etc nor would they be responsible for Corwin's employee damaging a customer's property while Corwin is holding the vehicle. But that is not what the invoice "STATEMENT OF DISCLAIMER" they gave me said... My copy of the invoice only mentioned "factory warranties"only & disclaims all other warranties ... Please note... on this Multi-Point Inspection Form... the SPARE TIRE is nowhere to be found! I would think...as a "THE WORKS" maintenance procedure ...this would be important to include in a checklist. This is not something you want to find out changing a tire on the freeway. In conjunction with a maintenance checklist .. I looked everywhere for the antifreeze percentage or what was the lowest temperature my engine would be protected too? Did not find it ... So I asked Jessica Webb what that temp was and she went in the back to find out ... She came back and said -39 degrees. But, WHY WOULD THAT NOT BE ON THE "AUTOMOBILE STATUS REPORT"?? SEE Photo Section "Immediate Action Required" I'm waiting for my SUV to be brought around ...and I am reading the "AUTOMOBILE STATUS REPORT" Jessica Webb generated for this "THE WORKS" maintenance event. And I notice the "Multi-Point Inspection Form" under the hood section had a red checkmark next to "FLUIDS". The "legend" for a red checkmark was "REQUIRES IMMEDIATE ATTENTION" And during the checkout, J. Webb made no mention of the immediate requirements. One was for ... FUEL INDUCTION SERVICE: due to mileage. and the other fluid red flag was... MOC MAJOR A/C SERVICES: due to mileage. These were itemized on a separate page called "ADDITIONAL SERVICE RECOMMENDATIONS" with the reminder "RED: REQUIRES IMMEDIATE ATTENTION" On the back page of this: "AUTOMOBILE STATUS REPORT" is a page entitled "REPAIR ESTIMATE" The first line was for a service I assumed I already received ...? SEE Photo section "Estimated Repair Cost" None of these "IMMEDIATE ATTENTION REQUIRED" were brought to my attention while picking up the SUV. And now for the third time I've been at Corwin Ford... I feel like I am given the "BUMS RUSH!" treatment. read more

That being said, I've given them 4 stars rather than 5 simply because the process did take a long time. I did two test drives and was at the dealership from 12:45 until after 5pm. So, they could have done a little better if they'd just told me to leave and call me when the paperwork was done. The finance manager Niko was super easy to work with and got us a great rate with Gesa, the rate was better than what our bank USAA had pre-approved us for. No up-sale on warranty or other stuff we didn't need. Done in less than 15 minutes with on son in the office. They did the right thing and fixed it. Why only one star you ask? Well, now three weeks after purchase we rolled down the windows for the first time. The back window won't roll up. An absolute nightmare. I purchased a vehicle "pending inspection" and they said it was fine in inspection. As I drove it off the lot there was a noise- they said it was because it was a hybrid. The vehicle has experienced crippling mechanical/electrical issues since that every day. I immediately emailed and let them know. I spoke to their inspection guru and they said they didn't have anyone there who knows anything about Chevy's. So how the heck did the inspect it then? They said they checked for leaks and codes. This vehicle obviously had major issues and they either missed them or saw them and passed it off anyway to make a buck. This vehicle has been unsafe since I purchased it and has stranded me with my children. It has been seen by THREE mechanics, has been in the shop for over 50 days since I purchased it last October, and is currently undrivable and no one knows how to repair it. One shop was able to "fix it" and the fix lasted just over a month. The vehicle is mechanically totaled. I've communicated all of this to them at various levels. This issue isn't covered under maintenance plans. The vehicle is a paperweight sitting in front of my house. They have continually promised to help me and "make it right" but then don't return calls or come up with a reasonable solution. The only solution was to switch it out for another vehicle on their lot. Which, they don't have anything that meets my needs and this is the second vehicle I've purchased that has had crippling issues within a year of purchase. I thought the first crappy vehicle was a fluke, but NEVER AGAIN. Run away fast, people. Spend your money on a dealership who has functioning, safe vehicles and who won't just give you lip service when there is a problem, and who actually inspects their vehicles. To many things I asked for glossed over with no answer. Rafael told me that after I was gone for 1.5 hours, the car would be washed, gassed up would have been looked at for a wiper problem. Car washed, not gassed up,no look at wiper problem. Also asked for carfax, ignored. Had to wait 10 minutes for him to find keys,10 minutes to get gas card, and then go with him to the gas station. Too easily distracted with phone calls. I told him that the day before the internet had given me a $150 credit off the purchase price he ignored that request statement also.
