Coffee shop located by the Ferry Landing
Cheryl G.

The view and the people that work there were definitely 5 stars but the coffee was honestly a 3 so I averaged out and give this place for stars. My fiancé and I walked over after a Pilates class. He got an Americano and I got a latte. Both standard drinks and we drink them at a lot of places... And both of ours were very weak. Mine tasted like milk and his was watery. The girl that worked there was super nice and gave me another shot of espresso to put in it and that did help some but it still wasn't great. I would be open to returning and trying their drip coffee and maybe one of the tasty looking pastries. I mean, you seriously cannot beat the atmosphere!!!

I was near the Coronado pier and was craving for an iced rose latte. After a quick Yelp search, I was able to find this coffee shop. It was just a walk away from the docking station so I decided to give it a shot. There was a short queue and it moved quickly. A queue likely meant that the place was good. I was surprised that they had so many flavors. However, I selected the iced rose latte because that's what I was craving for. The coffee was reasonably priced. The latte came out pretty quickly. The first sip was satisfying! The coffee was made perfectly with the right blend of rose syrup and cold coffee. All in all, I was impressed! Highly recommend checking out this place if you are looking for a reasonably priced good coffee! What I really like about the location is that one can grab a coffee and walk around in the park facing the ocean!

Tucked along the scenic paths of Coronado, this charming little pop-up coffee stand delivers. I stumbled upon Coronado Coffee during a morning walk on vacation, and what was meant to be a quick stop turned into a cool experience. Despite a sudden wave of customers during my visit: tourists, bikers, local morning walkers, and curious passersby peeps. The staff handled the rush like seasoned pros. Super-efficient, they kept the line moving with smiles and precision. Nice Work. I tried the Dirty Chai Latte for the first time (mix of spiced chai and a shot of espresso) and it was fantastic... Rich and slightly sweet with the caffeine kick, it had just the right balance of spice and smooth espresso. The setup may be small, but don't let that fool you. This place crushes it. Whether you're on a long ride, getting in steps (like I was), or just soaking in the Coronado breeze, make a stop here. Enjoy the people-watching by the water. Cheers!

Soft opening on Rosecrans and Byron in Point Loma today!! Full service cafe with sandwiches salads and pastries! I had a cortado that was perfect. Thank you Sage for the friendly chat and great espresso! Excellent food choices. Bread and Cie provider so very good eats here! Same friendly fast service as their Coronado Ferry location! Cute cafe indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of free street parking!

Friendly staff! A great location by the water! It was fun watching the boats go by. Vegan options available. This is a lovely little shop to come and grab a coffee and walk by the water. Beautiful views! The prices were reasonable. Would come back!

Great coffee shop in Coronado! There are a few tables out front to sit and enjoy the coffee or a grass area as well. We ordered a mazapán latte which was delicious, one of the best lattes in general that I've ever had. My fiancé ordered a cinnamon toast crunch latte and that was also delicious! We shared a danish and that was also very good and warm and fluffy. We sat there for a while and enjoyed our coffee. The girl at the front who helped us was very nice and our coffees were ready fairly quick! Seems like a popular spot, shortly after we got our drinks they had a good size line.

The mint mocha here has got to be one of my favorite coffees in all of San Diego. It's rich, flavorful, and sweet. It's perfect over ice. I love coming here then walking around while drinking my coffee. It's gorgeous.

A little of everything that they offer

This coffee shop just opened and I loved it. The service is excellent and the place is super cute. They have delicious sandwiches, the Acai bowls are amazing, they have all kind of drinks and they even have pup cups

We were enjoying the live music by the ferry landing but it was so chilly that we needed to get hot coffee. There definitely was a long line but the service was so quick. Coffee was really good too. Hit the spot.

Crown cruncher acai bowl & acai Nutella smoothie

Stopped by for an acai bowl and the portion size was definitely generous, but the price was almost $17, which felt a bit high. The bowl itself tasted good, though it was already a little melted when I got it. Overall, not bad, but for the cost I was expecting a bit more freshness and consistency.

Cute coffee stall to grab a drink after walking around Coronado! I had their horchata matcha latte which was so yummy and I appreciate that it was non dairy! They have so many fun, season drinks to choose from!

Great location!

Highly recommend this little coffee shop next to Centennial Park. Took a stroll with my daughter as we enjoyed some great sites! San Diego skyline is beautiful in the wee morning hours! Mocha frappé was delish. Apple turnover was on point. The smoothie was tasteful and delicious. But what really impressed me was the basic açai bowl. That really hit the spot. Service was great! Everyone who works at this coffee shop seems to really enjoy what they're doing! We will definitely be back!

There's lots of seating for anyone who wants to hangout with friends or study. So awesome to see that they serve Nami (aashleyk's matcha brand). I ordered a chicken empanada, pan de elote, & an iced matcha cloud (less sweet & oat milk). Everything was absolutely DELISH. I'm pretty picky about my matcha, especially when it's in an Einspanner form. I loved the contrast between the sweet/salty cloud and the matcha itself! This place has their ratios down perfectly. Most other coffee shops charge $1.00 or more now, so that was a really nice surprise. They also gave me a stamp card for future visits, which I'll definitely be using. Will absolutely be back!

I love the habanero bagel, it's one of my favorites, but just be warned it is very hot. Definitely don't eat it without something cold to drink. They also have a breakfast sandwich called the San Diego which is a favorite of several people I know. You chose the bagel you want it with and they add fried eggs, bacon, cheese and aioli. I highly reccomend it. I've not had a lot of their deinis, but i did order the cinna-bee which has honey, cinnamon, espresso and milk. I thought it was good and would order it again. Definitely check them out and try some of their bagels, or perhaps one of their sandwiches.

Finally got to try this cute Japanese cafe we saw on TikTok, and it did not disappoint!…read more Service: [5/5] The two girls who helped us were so sweet and made the whole experience. We were seated at the bar, which ended up being such a vibe--we got to chat with the girl behind the bar and watch her make lattes and desserts right in front of us. That kind of interaction really sets this place apart. Price: [4.5/5] It's on the pricier side, but honestly it feels fair given the quality of food you're getting. You can taste where your money is going. Food/Drinks: [5/5] Matcha Latte -- We shared one, extra sweet at my request, and it was perfect. Exactly what I was hoping for. Chef Soichi's Karaage -- We had this as an appetizer and my boyfriend made a point to say this is the closest he's had to traditional Japanese karaage. High praise from someone who's passionate about his Japanese culture. Hayashi Omurice -- This is their most popular dish and it's easy to see why. The demi-glaze has a really unique flavor that ties the whole dish together beautifully. This was my pick and I'd order it again without hesitation. Guratan -- My boyfriend's order, and it was incredibly creamy and delicious. We were both too stuffed for dessert by the end, which says a lot about the portion sizes. Ambience: [5/5] The restaurant is small, but honestly that's part of what makes it so charming. Pink everywhere with wooden accents and cherry blossoms throughout (very fitting)--it's cozy, homey, and just really well put together. The intimate size adds to the appeal rather than taking away from it. Overall Experience: [5/5] Hatsuzakara was such a wonderful first experience. Yes, we waited about 30 minutes to be seated arriving at 7:30 on a Friday night but for a waitlist-only spot this small, that's actually a pretty reasonable wait by San Diego standards. The food, the atmosphere, and the staff more than made up for it. Already looking forward to coming back to try the curry and work through their dessert menu.

I feel like everything looked really good, so it was hard to decide what to order. The dishes have small portion size despite the price. I think this kinda helps in that you have room to eat dessert! The brown sugar Okinawa tea was good but the after taste of the sugar was not good. They kept the tea pot warm, and they served oat milk on the side. Karaage had too much chicken skin for my preference. Guratan was penne pasta and not macaroni as specified in the menu. Yakisoba could have used more chicken. Omurice had the more flavor and the egg was really good. I want to try naporitan next time because of the tomato based sauce. Of the desserts I tried, the parfait was most enjoyable because of the fruit with ice cream. The mushi pudding was good; it was the thick and "hard" type of flan. I want to try kakigori next time because I saw their shaved ice machine was legit. Parking - free street parking only. Be prepared to walk up/downhill. Credit card/apple pay accepted Bathroom is only one room in the back. THE SEAT IS WARM. This was a nice gem to find in this part of town.
