Instead, they charged us $280 just to diagnose the broken knob, quoted over $1,500 to repair it, and didn't even perform the transmission diagnostic we specifically requested. Charging someone $280 just to tell them a knob is broken and then quoting $1,500 to fix it is absolutely outrageous. Families are struggling to afford groceries, and this is how loyal customers are treated? We've purchased two vehicles from Cardinal Way Hyundai, and today we're leaving in tears. After this experience, they have lost our business for good. We will never buy another vehicle from them or return for service. If you're looking for a dealership that values its customers, this wasn't our experience. I purchased my A4, Q4 and my mom got her A6 and A5 from them. In 2024 I dealt with Joshua who was an awesome Audi salesperson but unfortunately he is no longer there. This time I wanted to get a Q6 and I did deal with Ricky who was a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately, we just couldn't get to a number that worked for me. However, he did try his best and was very responsive to all of my questions and requests. The issue is with their sales management team that send the automated e-mails to ask how they can help and when I do respond with an issue; for example, that they keep addressing me under my mom's name and that they need to correct their records, and then they claim to call me to talk and I received no such correspondence. At this time, which was at the end of September, I was actively in contact with more than a handful of Audi dealerships and was disappointed in how Walters/Audi Riverside management mishandled my entire situation. The e-mails they sent me were empty, hollow emails that didn't seek solutions. They were just merely checking the box. It's a shame as my family have had a long relationship with Walters, from sales and service (love Stacey Samuel!) but this interaction was truly disappointing. That being said, I am happy I was able to work with a great dealership, Audi North OC and I am very happy with how they worked with me and I am very happy with my new car. I will also be switching to their service department even though it's a little farther than Walters. I suggest that folks consider them as they are eager to help, and would appreciate and value your businss.

Extremely disappointed with Land Rover Riverside. I brought our 2020 Range Rover Evoque in after it…read moresuddenly stopped starting, and they quoted us over $5,000 in repairs. They diagnosed a failed telematics control module and quoted $2,577.91 to replace it. However, because we only had one key, they insisted we needed to replace additional modules and add another key for another $2,436. They claimed this was required by Land Rover's programming procedures. I questioned why we couldn't simply get another key instead of replacing thousands of dollars in additional components. After getting a second opinion from Sterling Autosport, we were told the additional module replacements weren't necessary, and we only had to pay approximately $500 for another key. Maybe this was dealership policy, maybe it was their specific repair procedure. I honestly don't know. But the fact that another specialist offered a significantly cheaper solution was ridiculous. I genuinely felt like they were taking advantage of my lack of knowledge about vehicle electronics, expecting me to blindly approve thousands of dollars in repairs. We ended up having to pay an additional $200-$300 to tow the vehicle from Land Rover Riverside to Sterling Autosport. I wish I had taken it straight to Sterling in the first place, but I thought going directly to the dealership would be the safest and most reliable option. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Get a second opinion before approving expensive repairs here.

Unfortunately, we are now facing the same issue for a second time. The vehicle has once again required battery-related repairs and has now been out of service for more than two months. What is most concerning is that on both occasions the vehicle lost all power while traveling on the freeway. This was not merely an inconvenience--it was a significant safety concern. Thankfully, both times I was close enough to an exit to safely maneuver the vehicle off the roadway. Had that not been the case, the outcome could have been far more serious. When purchasing a luxury vehicle, there is an expectation that the product will be reliable and that the ownership experience will be supported by a high level of professionalism, communication, and customer care. Unfortunately, our experience has fallen well short of those expectations. After two major battery-related failures and more than three months of cumulative repair time, we have lost confidence in both the vehicle and the dealership's ability to resolve these issues satisfactorily. We would appreciate a clear explanation of the ongoing problems with the vehicle, a definitive timeline for repair, and a meaningful resolution that reflects the seriousness of this situation.
