Very, very inconsistent . We keep going back because we wish the owners the best and they working hard. I would suggest revision of menu..tomato soup on the menu since beginning. Need a change. Also expediter should make sure soup is HOT? Even for lunch..clam chowder was only warm and tomato soup like paste and not hot. Salads need update...lettuce should be crispy and cold. Had well done cheeseburger, because normally love them there. It was like a hockey puck, did not return, I was with first timers and I was a little embarrassed that we had already sent back, chowder and soup. Terrible service, food took 1 hour and then came undercooked. The steamed broccoli was not steamed. I finished an entire Corona light before we received one dish we ordered for a family of three. I've been here several times and try to get my family to come because when I've sat at the bar with a friend, out experience was much better. Very disappointing. This place has a great atmosphere and décor - it feels cozy and airy at the same time. The menu options are good and our kids really like the choices on the kids menu. The food and service, however, are inconsistent. We've had some really good meals and it used to be one of the favorite places in our rotation but service and food to some extent has seemed to deteriorate a bit. We've had a couple excessively long waits and in one case an incorrect meal brought out at the end of the long wait. I don't have a huge problem with either issues per se but when you have been waiting for a meal for over an hour and then the correction takes another 45 minutes, the mistake entrée really should be comped. It's possible to have a really pleasant meal here, but it's just too much of a risk for us right now. read more

Terrible experience, don't waste your time coming here. My friends and I attempted to get dinner here at 5:30pm on a Sunday. While the parking lot didn't even appear full, the greeter informed us that there were too many people at the bar and we would need to eat in the "back dining room." Fine, no big deal. We were seated and told our server would be right with us. Fast forward 15 minutes, still nobody. At 20 minutes, a frazzled person showed up at the table and took our order and poured water into dirty looking glasses. We waited another 10 minutes before she came back (still without the drinks we ordered) to inform us that the restaurant is "out of" 4 of the things we had ordered at 5:30pm on a Sunday-no corn chowder,no chicken wings,no jalapeño poppers and no coconut rum. At this point we've been at the restaurant for close to 40 minutes, no drinks, no bread and now we have to look at the menu again to reorder our dinner. The whole time the server was condescending and unapologetic but did say she was "called in" because a bunch of servers were out and they needed help. While the decor and ambiance is very nice, we were treated as if it was a privilege for us dine here. No thanks! After 45 minutes of horrible service and still no drinks or food, we informed the server we were leaving. To which she responded "Ya know, it pains me just as much to tell you we are out of things as it is for you to hear it." Super condescending and really not helpful, we left based on the overall bad experience, not just because they were out of half of the menu at 5:30pm on a Sunday.... Maybe we were there on a really off day? But judging by the combined experience my gut says otherwise. read more

Tried to have dinner at the bar Friday night. Great drinks but the food never came. Then we were told by the barmaid that she fired the chef's girlfriend the week before and since then the chef has screwed the barmaid over by not processing her bar dinners quickly thus affecting her tips. It was a terrible experience and frankly we would never go back. read more

This is a very solid place with imaginative food, expertly prepared. The place itself is a bit on the "barney" side, but not distracting. It is a good place for kids who know how to behave in public. The menu is quite broad and my wife and I have enjoyed every item that we have ever ordered. There management and wait staff know their business and are both friendly and able. We've eaten here 6-7 times and have enjoyed the total experience very much. read more

Flatbread pizzas were very good, especially the mushroom variation. Garlic/lemon fries were very tasty. Service was a bit slow even though the restaurant was not full, but otherwise good. Heat distribution needs some work - the dining room was stifling when we got there, but got better by the time we were leaving. All in all a good experience and we look forward to going back. The lobster flatbread was seriously to die for. Roasted tomatoes , corn , potato thinly sliced and the lobster and sauce CRAZY GREAT!. The salmon special with quinoa, garbanzo and tabouli with a hint of fennel? Wow, one of the worst dinners in recent memory. Had a party of 4 and everyone's meal was terrible. I had the tuna steak and let's say, I've never seen tuna that color. They claimed miso sauce, but it was just a bowl full of soy sauce. All around terrible food. Decor is great though! read more

Very disappointed again- Three times this month I've received my take out order incorrectly. Meal cooked completely opposite of what I asked. Second time I thought for sure they will get it right-instead of receiving french fries cooked extra crispy, I received PEPPER with a splash of fries! I honestly felt as though the staff did this intentionally! It was ridiculous. And lastly, I ordered the delicious hippie dippie salad with no goat cheese. I never review restaurants but had such a poor experience last night, I feel this time it is warranted. My friends and I arrived at 5:30 pm and were told we would have to eat in the back dining room. The tone with which the hostess said that should've been my first clue that this was not going to work out well for us. After we were seated, it took over 15 minutes for our server to come over and offer to take our drink order. By that point we had had enough time to figure out everything we wanted to order. After we all told the server what we would like, she said she thought they were out of corn chowder (?!) but would check and report back. 10 minutes later, she came back and said they were indeed out of corn chowder, and Malibu run for the drink my friend had ordered. We ordered alternatives and the server left. Another 10 minutes later, the server again came back and said they were also out of chicken wings, Tuna Crudo, and jalepeno poppers. At this point, half of the items we had ordered were not available, and the items that were available still hadn't been put in to the kitchen. The drinks we had ordered 35 minutes ago also had not been brought out. The only thing we had at that point was water that had been poured in glasses that didn't really look like they'd been washed. At that point we said we were no longer interested in staying and were given a condescending reply by the server. No apologies or understanding as to why were frustrated. The server acted like it was a privilege for us to be there, and I'm still trying to figure out why. I won't be back. read more

We just love this place , already been there twice. Fun place for football fans, plenty of delicious food, great cocktails, pizzas, salads and sandwiches. The bar resembles a social club with nice selection of music a great place to dine with the fire place and its cozy atmosphere. Our favorite Hippy Dippy salad, duck flat bread and pulled pork so far.. will try the others next stop. We highly recommend this foodie haven! read more

Went in on Saturday night with my husband and children and had the best meal!!! Food was fabulous, service was wonderful and I love the decor. I had a delicious Kale salad with Salmon, my husband had the fish sandwich and my kids eat a lot and where very satisfied with their hamburgers and pasta. The deserts where yummy! It's too bad my experience was so terrible because I'd like a close place to meet girlfriends outside hull....food took forever so we asked to speak to the manager; the hostess/owner (?) kept dodging our table then finally came by our table and tried to blame our waitress. I have eaten here on 2 occasions with my husband and we will return! Both times we sat at the bar... we love what the new owners have done to clean it up, brighten it up and make it their own! It is peaceful, welcoming and tastefully done. The staff is friendly. Yes, they have different items on the menu and my husband tried something new for him to find that he is not a fan. We spoke up and they were happy for the feedback., yet a little surprised as many love the item he does not....He knows not to order it in the future. I have tried things I was not used to eating either and loved them both. I have had the organic steak burger without a roll and wrapped in lettuce...so good! I made one request( the lettuce,larger pieces to be able to wrap in) and again the suggestion was appreciated. I just ate the quinoa burger with roasted red peppers and goat cheese... again, I'd prefer an option of not having the roll and large lettuce to wrap it in...I LOVED It. I love that they are open and eager for suggestions...After reading other's reviews I know I am ordering the hippy dippy salad next time in, can't wait!! I hope they are super successful, they invested a lot of time, hard work and money and deserve to do well. We will enjoy walking to go out to eat, a beautiful thing! I look forward to having people meet at our home and walking with us... It's great to have a nice, new venture so close... I keep hearing more and more wonderful comments and people are eager to try this... Like most new establishments it takes time to work out the kinks, get the right staff, etc... I wouldn't have wanted to have yelp or any other online griping session about a brand new business I was working hard at and especially this place has hands on staff that are eager to know how they are doing and they have cards to write any suggestions on right there. So so so pretty. Nice vibe. Big center bar. Not rowdy. Great background music. Waiter couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. But - OMG - the food sucked. BBQ flatbread was awful. Cold bottled bbq sauce, mozzarella, and canned pineapple chunks on top. Looked like it was microwaved. But we ate it because it was the best of our 4 meals. Bolognese sauce just OK. FIsh taco disappointing. 2 little flat tortillas with a v small amount of flaked unappealing fish on each, dab of crema, and dollop of slaw. Pork chop just not tasty. Oven fried with plain panko crumbs and tasted like veg oil. Arugula greens with grape tomatoes pretty. And fresh. But bland. Tomato soup appetizer was very good but it was served without it's cheesy bread. I will go back for a glass of wine from their great wine list, sit at beautiful bar or around the gorgeous huge fireplace. But I think I'll have dinner at home. Bummer. read more

UGH! This is my first restaurant yelp review but I was feeling so upset about our dining experience I had to share. I was so excited about this place. So ready for a place to go other than Tosca or Scarlet Oak...the light and breezy beachy vibe seemed to be the perfect addtion to this area. I went with a friend and we sat at the bar...the food was "good" but the bartender was amazing so I decided to come back for a real sit down dinner. The waitress was nothing short of a total b*@ch right from the get go. We had three kids with us so we thought maybe that was the problem...but .after 35 minutes of no water for the kids and no wine refills for us and our waitress no where in sight we had to get the hostess for help. 45 minutes later our dinner was served STILL no wine refills and our waitress was relieved of her duties?? They ran out of glasses...the food was not that great for the price and certailny not even close to make up for the horrible horrible BEYOND horrible service and attitude. We are pretty easy on the south shore....if you are slammed beyond what your kitchen can handle just keep us posted...keep our wine glasses filled and smile at us. This place missed that mark and then some. The other patrons were all complaining as well. What a mess. Our table had dining experience ranging from Nobu to Wendy's and collectively we all agreed this was the worst dining experience EVER. Do not waste your time. read more

We enjoyed our first visit for dinner in the dining room but I agree with another post that the 5 small scallops with very overcooked, crunchy risotto was overpriced at $25. We also experienced the waitress asking if we were finished with the bread (we weren't) and we don't like the salt dish at all. We had lunch in the bar side today consisting of a really good burger and a nice quinoa burger. The "daily ladle" was lobster bisque but in name only. Tomato rice soup was also on the menu and it's really sad when you can't tell which you were served. We thought the waiter had misunderstood our order and had to ask if it was the bisque. It looked like tomato without the rice and bore no resemblance to lobster bisque and tasted awful. There wasn't a shred or a taste of lobster in it. The waiter profusely apologized and they deducted the $3.50 cost. The decor is wonderful and the staff very attentive and we really want them to succeed. However, as other reviewers have noted, there are too many good restaurants to visit rather than going back to one with mediocre food. read more

On a whim, we stopped in for a late weekend lunch on a Sunday with a teenager in tow and was very impressed. The decor is casual, coastal and welcoming -- very cool, in fact. We split a mushroom flatbread pizza to start which was excellent. Cheesy (the good kind), stacked with quality fungi and seasoned with just the right amount of pesto. Entrees included the burger, a hippy dippy salad with chicken and the fish sando. The burger was well prepared, tasty and juicy. The small order of salad was plenty big enough for a lunch entree and well put together, and the hake sandwich was just amazing. Sides of fries, root veggie chips and greens with a tart oil and vinegar dressing complimented the mains well. We finished with coffee, cappuccino and a shared strawberry shortcake with Nona's ice cream that was delicious. Minor quibble: the chicken that accompanied the hippy dippy salad, though really tasty, was a bit dry. The Corner Stop is a great find and a place to which we will absolutely return. read more
