40 min for half soup/sandwich. They were busy so I can understand a prolonged wait time. Food came out and it's be hard to make a sandwich (chipotle chicken) to have less flavor. Also, mushroom slices literally still had dirt on them so it was clear they had not been rinsed beforehand. Cannot recommend. read more

Hot and cheesy and bubbly straight from the oven served with buttery and crispy bagel chips (homemade too, by the way), oh yeah baby. Also to die for? Fresh baked pita and foccacia for their delicious sandwiches. My favorites are the Mugwump or the Willow from the vegetation selection, and for my carnivore side I love the Gargoyle, Rosemary's Baby Daddy, or the Texas Jellyfish. The breads are so tender and flavorful and hold up to all the toppings in the sammies. Want something lighter and less carb-y? They always have a soup of the day -- try to hit them up on days when the soup is chili or when green leafy veggies are involved. My husband and I came in for a quick lunch. There is no information about seating and no one paying attention to the door. We sat. 5 minutes later we went to the counter thinking maybe we ordered there. The girl at the counter was apologetic and brought us drinks and menus. She told us someone named Jessica would be taking care of us. After sitting for more time and watching who we assume was our server start bussing a table with no customers at it (there were open tables) we started to walk to the counter to pay for our drinks. We were finally acknowledged by the server who was "sorry" and told us not to pay for our drinks. As a server in a similar type of restaurant, I would have been mortified if customers walked out because I ignored them. Not the case here. read more

We were looking for a good place to eat in Carrollton while here on a business trip, and saw that this place had high reviews so thought we'd give it a try. It was 8:30 when we called and they said they closed at 9, but that we should come on out. We were there till 9:20 eating and it was all cool. The people were nice and friendly and the setting was a unique eclectic cafe environment. The food was reasonably priced with interesting and unique food combinations. We had the spinach dip with homemade bagel chips (thin toasted bagel slices with butter) for an appetizer, and then the deluxe pot roast (flat toasted panini-type sandwich with cream cheese, onions, pot roast, monterey jack, avocado, tomato, olives, sprouts, and vinaigrette), and gargoyle sandwiches (pot roast, mushrooms & onions, gorgonzola cheese, baby greens and vinaigrette in a pita). Everything was very tasty and were glad that the food was healthy-minded. The pot roast is homemade and slow roasted in Guiness beer and spices - very good! Had a quick lunch here while in town shopping and got a very pleasant surprise. Downtown Carrollton has quite a few cute and trendy restaurants and the Corner Cafe definitely fits right in. The location is terrific, right in the heart of the old-timey downtown, with a few tables right on the front sidewalk outside. The food is lunchy with lots of great sandwiches, many with cute names like "Rosemary's baby momma" or "Pita Frampton." The sandwiches are not typical deli type, but a little more fancy with interesting alternatives to regular cheese and mayo. I had a turkey sandwich with greens and strawberry vinaigrette and it was delicious. All sandwiches come with a pickle but no sides. They also serve beer including some great microbrews. The wait staff is completely friendly and attentive even when busy. If you're in town, this is a great spot to enjoy a very yummy lunch. read more

We came here upon these Yelp reviews and pictures and it sure didn't fail. We started off with the hummus with red peppers, it was incredible. I only wish they gave us more hummus. They are GLUTEN friendly! They served our hummus with gf tortilla chips and they also have gf bread. They're sandwich menu is quite expansive and you can choose your bread. I got the Garden of Eden salad with chicken, it was absolutely amazing, fresh and the chicken fresh and not dry at all. I really didn't need any dressing on this, the avocado with the artichoke hearts were a perfect on top of lettuce, olives, and I had feta instead of mozzarella. My husband got a slice of pizza- which they hand make and it was plenty. He was stuffed after one slice. If visiting here for the first time I'd recommend this spot for lunch and dinner it won't disappoint! read more

I'm not a sandwich eater but this is my go to lunch spot when I visit the South. The homemade bread is amazing and I really appreciate the vegetarian options. I will warn you however the sandwiches don't really keep well especially if you get avocado. It turns brown and icky from oxidation. Hence one should stuff themselves without guilt. This place is also really nice inside. The service is relaxed and attentive without being pushy, the atmosphere bohemian and artsy, and the seating ample. I love the sun mural on the wall. Eat in if you can. My mom also highly recommends the calzones and she is difficult to impress when it comes to calzones. read more

Great Sandwich spot right on the square in Carrollton. They have a very unique menu of sandwiches that you won't find anywhere else. The bagel and spinach artichoke appetizer is so good. The place has a really great vibe as well. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that they typically only have 2-3 servers which for a restaurant with over 30 tables isn't enough. This is one of the best Cafe's i've been to (Food wise)! I love how they use cream cheese on their sandwiches and you get a good amount of food for the price. I ordered the Corner Club (Ham, Turkey, bacon, cheese, onions, tomatoes, avocado, lettuce, and cream cheese) and it was huge and so yummy! Lots of Flavor and very good quality. My boyfriend and I liked mine the best! My boyfriend ordered the Jellyfish (Chicken, bacon, cheese, onion, avocado, lettuce, cream cheese, etc) and he enjoyed his a lot too. Wasn't as big as mine or as flavorful but still tasty. My only 2 complaints are that there isn't enough outside seating and the sandwiches don't come with chips or a side. Beer selection is small, but decent. They have a sections for Vegetarians, which is nice. I ordered the Mr. Willow, I was amazed how tasteful it was. I dislike mushrooms and I actually enjoyed them on my sandwich. I have been on my vegetarian diet I have grow a taste for them. I asked for no sprouts and the waiter was awesome enough to ask if I would prefer lettuce or spinach to replace the sprouts and so I was able to add spinach to it!
