The brisket and aioli worked well together, and the sliced jalapeños added heat without overpowering the dish. Unfortunately, the fries themselves did not live up to the rest of the flavors. The choice of fry just did not work for me, and it ended up holding the whole dish back. With a better fry, this could have been really solid. The seating was another downside. The chairs were uncomfortable, with curved edges that pressed into my kidneys the entire time. It reminded me of sitting in a high school classroom desk rather than relaxing at a restaurant. Service wise I didn't really know who my server was, maybe they switch? I ordered the mac and cheese and felt pretty neutral about it. I was not digging it, but I was not hating it either. It tasted more like Alfredo than traditional mac and cheese, which was not what I was expecting. The shrimp, however, were good and easily the best part of the dish. Overall, I still had a good experience. The atmosphere is nice, and while a few things missed the mark, it was not enough to turn me off completely. The restrooms are located on the side and not near the Hucks sign, which is good to know. I would return.

Now, credit where it's due: the strawberry Huckito was very good, and I absolutely recommend it. Also, the service was great, friendly, attentive, and professional. But when the most expensive item on the menu comes out poorly cooked and bland, it makes you start looking elsewhere to spend your money. My friend's experience…read more Today- in LaGrange, GA- Really insane experience in the New Mexican spot on Main St. We walked in happy returning clients. We have been huge fans of La Familia Ramirez since they opened! This was our 6th visit--and up until today, we've recommended it to everyone we know in LaGrange. Unfortunately, after tonight, we won't be back. I'm honestly still in shock writing this. It started small--two margaritas that came out completely different than what we ordered (dark brown, warm, no salt). We've had margaritas there before, and these were nothing like them. We asked to switch to beers and moved on. Then our food arrived, and the dish was different from what the menu described--missing key ingredients and not what we were expecting. We tried to work with it, but we were not interested in eating it even. We calmly spoke up. There was a clear lack of effort on every way. We were calm when expressing our unhappiness, but we did it. That's when things took a turn. It honesty had not been pleasant from the beginning- but it got way worse. Instead of being helped, we were told by a staff member (who wasn't even our server) that "complaining is rude" and that she would "remember us." We were surprised, especially as repeat customers who have supported and promoted this restaurant. When we asked for a name while paying, the same woman refused and said to the staff, "Do not say my name," then looked at me and said, "I already know yours--the crippled lady." I use a leg brace and crutches, but that comment was completely inappropriate and unacceptable--on any level. The manager was present during this interaction and did nothing to de-escalate or address what was said. At that point, we just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. This was incredibly disappointing--not just because of the food issues, but because of how we were treated. We've genuinely supported this place and wanted it to succeed. If something goes wrong, it can be fixed. But disrespect like that is not something we can overlook. Sadly, La Familia Ramirez lost a group of loyal customers tonight.
