    Dry Chicken

Nasty, Dark, eating area. You can look past that if the food is good. From what other reviews say you'd expect that. Very wrong. I ordered the Ramen and grilled chicken. You'd expect it to be handmade noodles and nicely cooked chicken. Nope. Just obviously ramen noodles from a pack you'd get for 30 cents. Somehow not even cooked all the way. While the chicken was dry and overcooked. For $10 you can do better in a lot of other places. Seriously if you want this experience just make a pack of ramen at home and tip yourself $10.

Bulgogi was loaded with goodness. The marinated beef was very good and we like the shredded vegetables that were stir fried. We chose the fried rice $1:00 more. I think it would have been better over steamed rice. The extra oil from the rice was too much. Service was quick and pleasant. We will give them another try next time we're in the area.

I was so hopeful for this restaurant. The sushi rolls were ok. The crunch roll has only four massive pieces. Not how sushi should be. You couldn't eat it without cutting it or making a big mess. The veggie bun thing was so bad. The look, the texture and the filling, all bad. My veggie bowl was bland at best and the zucchini was super bitter and spoiled. So disappointed.

This is the best "Asian" food in the area. We ordered the Bremen Roll, Super crunch roll, Bang Bang Chicken and the veggie buns. The sushi was pretty good the crunch roll is rolled into 4 large rolls but both decent. The bang bang chicken was kinda spicy and the rice is pretty basic. We sat inside it's a very large space but very hot and the lighting is kinda dim so not the most comfortable dining area. Definitely more of a take out place. The gentle men at the front was kind.

Found this place online yesterday and decide I would try it. I tried a few different things from the menu and was extremely pleased. The lady who worked the counter was extremely friendly, Who would have thought I would could come to Bremen to get a little Korean food. Everything I tried was very good. They also seem to have a little bit of Mexican food I did not try it. And also Ramyun that is how it is spelled on the menu so I don't know if it's a twist on Ramen. They have assorted tapas that includes crab rangoons egg rolls dumplings etc. There is also sushi which I did not try because I was not going to be home till later in the day and didn't think it would keep well. But if you're in the area I would definitely recommend stopping in. I drove 30 minutes to try it and would make the trip again.

Awkward Welcome, Bland Food, but Attentive Service Rating:…read more (2/5) Review (posted June 22, 2025): I visited Big Bear Asian Buffet at 6 PM on a Sunday evening, hoping for a fresh buffet experience during the dinner rush. Unfortunately, it fell short from the start. When I walked in, I followed the sign that said "Please wait to be seated." I stood there for several minutes as multiple waitresses looked at me but said nothing. It was uncomfortable. Eventually, a woman in a hoodie and sweatsuit appeared, said nothing, waved for me to follow her, and pointed at a table. Still no greeting, no words--just an awkward start to the meal. Once I was seated, one of the original waitresses came over to take my drink order. She ended up being the bright spot of the visit--very attentive and made sure my drink was always topped off. The food, however, didn't live up to expectations. Most of the hot dishes were lukewarm and lacked seasoning. I tried the sushi--five options total--and sadly, all were dry and very bland, like they'd been sitting out for a long time. Not what you'd hope for at prime dinner time. It's worth noting that the place seems to be a hotspot for locals picking up to-go boxes. I watched several people come in, pile food to the very top of their takeout containers, and head out within minutes. So maybe that's their main crowd--but it didn't do much to improve the dine-in experience. Bottom line: The service at the table was solid, but everything else--cold welcome, tired food, and lack of overall hospitality--makes it unlikely I'll return. There are better buffet options in the area where you'll feel like more than just another transaction.

Poor Calvin's looked so interesting and when I sent it to my colleague, they were very interested. We took a quick Lyft ride from the conference center. What a cute restaurant! It's cozy and the space is utilized so efficiently. The staff were so warm and welcoming as well as attentive. Our lovely waitress provided vivid descriptions of each of the dishes that we either asked about or ordered, which made us even more excited to receive our meal! We started with the beignets (without the crab dip; it was supplemented with pimento cheese). They were savory and delicious, with I think pecorino cheese and balsamic glaze. It came with 4 generously sized beignets and we big had to stop after one to leave room for our meal! For entrees, my colleague got the seafood curry and I got the drunken noodles with tofu. Both of these dishes were very generous portions and quite spicy! The tofu in the drunken noodles had a very light (tempura?) batter with a sort of Chinese salt and pepper seasoning. My colleague's seafood curry came with a HUGE lobster tail, lots of mussels and other seafood plus a side of green (!) rice. Everything was so good. We had leftovers to take with us to the hotel. Highly recommend checking out Poor Calvin's if you get the chance!

The lobster was a little chewy and fried hard. The green side was crispy but cooler than room temperature. The food tasted food but not worth the hype. Next time, I will grab a drink and order something different.

AMBIANCE (4/5): Tons of indoor & outdoor patio seating, although it seemed like everyone pre-ordered or picked up to go. They have 2 long communal tables and a ton of 2-4 people tables. The wood tables make it look rustic, pop music playing so it's not awkwardly quiet. SERVICE (3/5): You order at the counter first, a single cashier, but it goes fairly quickly. Most of the staff is in the back kitchen. It's more "serve yourself". You grab your own drinks from the fridge, all utensils, napkins, and water are already on the table, and throw your own trash away, everything is in disposable containers. FOOD (4/5): $22 BUILD YOUR OWN BOWL: I personally didn't like the signature rice, I wanted the crispy rice fritters but they were sold out at 1:30pm on a Friday. The crispy Brussels were AMAZING! Definitely get this for a (+$2.50 upgrade). Bulgogi ribeye was sweet and delicious! Cashier offered a side of spicy Korean sauce which I didn't realize I'd be charged for, just wish she told me it was an additional cost (+$0.75). It doesn't need any extra sauce, the bowls are very saucy! And I'm a heavy sauce person. Also added a fried egg (+$2). The bowl was very delicious, minus the signature rice, I'd get all crispy Brussels next time! $4 BUTTERFLY TEA: very sweet, but good! $4 MINI COOKIES (4-PACK): I got 2 chocolate chip and 2 banana chip cookies. A little dry, but yummy. OVERALL (4/5): This is a FAST-CASUAL restaurant. They ask for automatic tip at the cashier, but you pretty much service yourself except when they bring out the food. I honestly wasn't expecting to spend this much for a quick lunch (total was $36), but I wanted to try everything. Now I know what I like and don't like here and excited to try some of the other bowl options! Definitely recommend this place! Very yummy!
