Yummy Indian food! We placed a takeout order for butter chicken, veggie korma, lamb biriyani, palak paneer, and naan. It cost around $110, and given the quantity of food (enough for six), it seems fairly priced these days. As we opened each carefully wrapped to-go box the aromas got our stomach juices going. The butter chicken and the palak paneer were are clear faves, but there were no missteps. Staff was friendly and efficient (our order was ready when they said it- would be). Also, if you have someone in your party that wants something 'Merican, they have those dishes as well. But if you make them try your food you may convert them. read more

This NEW "Corner INDIAN FOOD" is GREAT!!! Confused Yelp hasn't transitioned to this 3.5 month new Establishment! The inside is clean, well appointed and comfortable! The service was top notch. All the staff encounters we had were lovely, we really enjoyed how genuine they were to serve us their delicious menu. That alone is 5 stars. The Food: Anacortes is lucky to have this Authentic Indian Restaurant! We started with the Spinach Mushroom Soup. I could enjoy that every day it was so dang flavorful. The Garlic Butter Squid was well seasoned. Typically I choose Nann (my favorite)instead we opted for the bread listed on the bottom of the first menu page. ( I can't remember the name). It's described as fluffy onion filled..... it was Super Tasty! We are looking forward to our next visit, real soon! The former Corner dive restaurant been completely replaced by a 5 star everything! First visit here. Yay for good Indian Food so near to us. The restaurant is a little hard to spot. The sign does say "Indian" but it's kinda hidden in there. Nice place. I'm excited to try the All-You-Can-Eat Buffet on Sunday. The host and waiters were very nice and courteous. Several patrons had questions and they answered them very thoroughly. The food was fantastic. Their version of Tikka Masala was a little different than what I'm used to seeing. Lots of large veggies pieces instead of just chicken and sauce. I will def be returning to try some of their other dishes on Sunday. The Buffett is supposed to have 20 dishes running at the same time. Come check it out. Cheers! read more

Delicious Indian cuisine that is so fresh! Unique dishes such as the cheesy mushrooms appetizer and the vindaloo was the best I've had ! The restaurant itself has been renovated, so modern and ambiance is perfect. Most of all the service was very attentive and really helped me order as I had gluten and dairy allergies. Complimentary dessert was divine as well!!!! Excellent mid day lunch! read more

Seriously going to make this a regular place. What a godsend this close to Whidbey island. I have tried Indian food all over the state craving that delicious naan and butter chicken. I made a point of trying dishoom in London and other Indian places knowing it was renown as the 2nd best place outside India. This place had phenomenal flavor. Perfect naan. EXCELLENT mint and tamarind sauce. The service was a great and the dessert with carrot?! Like I said I've been to a lot of places. Never saw it before and it was quite the experience. You should go for the carrot dessert alone if you can detour for it. read more

They really should change the name but we finally tried their Indian food and it was delicious. We got the usual safe standards-samosa( a little salty but that may have been the pastry) butter chicken and tikka masala with garlic naan. It's really hard to find good Indian food but we are sorry we waited-this will be a regular place now. Very very good! read more

So, I ordered a delivery so I'll just be commenting on the food itself and not the service, etc. I purchased the combo seafood platter that comes with two fish, two oysters, two prawns, and clam strips. In addition, the platter included the soup of the day, fries, and garlic bread. Well, I had high hopes, as this was my first experience with the Corner Bar and Grill. They forgot the oysters (or were out of them). Everything left, unfortunately, was overdone as to render all the seafood extremely dry and tough. The breading for the fish and prawns was gross. The fries were ok. The garlic bread tasted like the butter had gone bad or something and was really disgusting. The tartar sauce tasted almost like straight mayo. The beef vegetable soup, however, was really tasty. It was the small bright spot. I can for sure recommend it. It is possible that other items on the menu are quite good, but the seafood was crap. I got a refund from Uber Eats. So, I am not out a significant chunk of money, but I would of rather had a good dining experience. read more

I've waited a long time to try this place out-- my mistake-- because it is a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great food and great service, with a nice interior ambience-- wooden booths and spacious. I've had the meat lovers omelet (4 egg omelet)-- which was cooked perfectly and a generous portion. We have been going to The Corner restaurant for many years. They had a punch card and when you filled it you got $10 off your bill. When we went to use it the other day we were told it's no longer accepted because there is a new owner. i think they should have honored ones that are filled and said they are no longer doing it so you don't expect to get a card from now on. I think this was handled rather rudely. We decided we will take our business somewhere else because of the rudeness and we've told our friends about it. This may sound petty but it took us lots of money and time to get our card filled. Plus we came from Oak Harbor to eat there. read more

This review is for the Corner Restaurant. I am always uncertain about a restaurant that has a strong odor of disinfectant, but the place was clean. We stopped for breakfast before heading out of town. The waiter was very nice and the food was great! I had the Milworker with blueberry pancakes and hubby had the meat lovers omelette with toast and hashbrowns. I live close and have been often but service has gone to shit. Don't go to the restaurant if you want good service you should just go to the bar? There's always people there. The same average food is In both places, but I'm sure you'll get way better service in the bar even even though I've never been there.. This used to be our go to spot from 2014-2017. We had the opportunity to go here in 2019 and had a great time. Went there today (9/13/23) and it was a really rough experience. The service was super slow and there was only one other table while we were there. No refills on our coffee. We had to go up to the register to pay. Our waitress came to our table three separate times to take our order...the first time, she left to grab the phone. The second time, I think she just forgot something and the third time she finally took our order. It was just not a good experience and very disappointing. It was our first time trying the place after driving by so many times. The two waitresses were smoking outside at the front door so when we walked in they did too with their smoker odor in tow. That was a turn off at the start. Very 1980's vibe, original oak/wooden booths and 80's decor but clean. We got breakfast, the Millworker and a veggie omelette. It was a fluffy omlette, done well and it has onions, green peppers and mushrooms. It was filled with onions, way too many and it would be great to have different veggies or more but all in all good. My husband and I were the only ones in the restaurant on a Sat night at 8. My husband had the ginormous primer rib with mashed potatoes and fresh cooked veggies. I had the breakfast dish "Corner Special." Chicken fried steak, eggs, hashbrown, toast. ALL of it was Delicous. My favorite was Loree the friendliest waitress. She waited on us better than my grandma. Very thorough. After or dinner we stopped in the bar. Angel was bartending. I was very happy with my whiskey sour and my husband with his 7/7. If you want a no fuss atmosphere and a great pub menu, this is your place. Friendly staff, great drinks and the menu is really nice. You can tell they aren't serving re-heated frozen food like some of the other places off the beaten path. Definitely not a place to go if you're looking for diet low cal options, but if you want a great burger or fish and chips, you'll be happy here. There is a great outdoor area as well to enjoy on nice days. read more

After working up quite an appetite from our hike at Deception Pass, our friends took us here for lunch. We were seated right away. The crew was fine, and we were helped right away. I ordered a Large fish and chips basket. The fish and chips basket included 3 pieces of fish with fries, coleslaw, and garlic toast. The fish was decent, but I expected better. Fries, coleslaw, and bread were all average at best. My wife had the Combination basket. It included fries, coleslaw, and a variety of fried fish. She was not too impressed with the taste. Overall, the food was satisfactory. Probably would not return here though because it just did not impress. Had much better fish and chips at all the other places we visited during our road trip. Great food... but I did ask for crispy bacon and didn't get it. But that's pretty typical of most places. They lost a star because they didn't stay on top of waters and coffee. Giving this a 2 star based on some good experiences I had here in the past. I have been coming here for years. About 6 months ago I had my first poor experience. Tried coming back a few more times in hopes of getting back to normal. On this last and final visit to The Corner; One of the eggs was burst and non-existent hidden under the hash browns. I was charged for the replacement. Toast was not toasted, butter not melted, bacon cold. On the other plate one egg was over easy and the other over hard when they were ordered over medium. I work in the area and have ordered take out from here on a couple of occasions now. I have had burgers and fries, fish and chips and a few other menu items. Service has always been quick and friendly. Food has always been hot and correct to my requests. It is standard diner food served hot and friendly at a Bar and Grill attached to a Gas Station/Convenience Store. For a quick bite after a day at the beach without breaking the bank it's a good choice. read more

We waited a long time for every step: water, ordering, refills, food, bill. It was a bit comical that the iced tea was not available and everyone wanted iced tea. Suggest that anyone who works there know how to operate the machines not just 'the morning crew'. If the tea is out and it's five pm it doesn't do anyone any good to push blame.
