The usual spot and one of my daughter's favorite. Was running a little late to catch breakfast today and got there 3 minutes after 11, asked if they would still make a breakfast plate. The cashier was nice enough to ask the manager, but was declined right away. I get it, obviously be there before 11 but coming from a manager background it's some of the small things that mean the most, could've made for a great customer experience. read more

The service was great at the register but the way they have seating arrangement is horrible then there is a manager lady that has glasses and was completely rude and not patience enough to listen to our request will for sure not be coming back to this location and they can improve that manager customer service and teach her that even though there is a rush doesn't give you the right to treat customer like shit. read more

The prices are high for the food you are getting, however, it's probably on par with everything else nowadays. I got a breakfast scrambler for $12.99--egg, bacon and breakfast potatoes and that's it. My biggest gripe would be the way they are sitting you down. The sign upfront says order first and find a table. But you don't want to order if there are no tables available, so the front hostess will tell you to wait for a table first before ordering. Meanwhile, the line keeps getting longer with people waiting to order not knowing there are no tables available. We waited and finally got a table, we went to the back of line again so we can order, luckily, the front hostess told us to get in front of the line so we can order. That causes some people on the line to roll their eyes. In all, the restaurant need to change how they are taking orders and sitting people down, why can't you just do it like other regular restaurants...sit down on the table, order your food from a waiter/waitress--no confusion. read more

We stopped at Corner Bakery Cafe for a quick casual lunch while running errands. This is similar to a McAlister's Deli or a Panera Bread, but a little better in my opinion. The Pick Two option was only $9.99 before tax and included garlic bread as an option for your side, so I was already sold. The baked potato soup was so delicious! Creamy, filling, and flavorful. Perfect on a windy February afternoon. The mozzarella tomato sandwich was just okay. Way too much red pepper, not enough of the other flavors. My boyfriend got the Rustic and a salad with the house vinaigrette and enjoyed both. The lemon bar was delicious! We'll definitely be back for a casual lunch and I want to try out their breakfast options soon. When we went during a weekend, they were fairly busy, but not packed. The restaurant itself was clean and the staff was working hard to keep it that way. The young woman who took our order was super helpful and sweet! Our food was out pretty quickly and everything was accurate. If you haven't been before, know that you order first and then find a table, similar to a McAlister's. I am from out of town and came here with my parents and family for breakfast. We usually always have a great experience but today it was incredibly disappointing. I ordered the Anaheim scrambler with fruit on the side. What arrived was a small bowl with fruit that had obviously not been kept at a proper temperature and mold was growing on the grapes. When we told the manager, Kimberly, she didn't show any remorse for what was served. She rudely asked, "So, what do you want? Would you like a replacement side or anything?" I told her no and that I just didn't want this served to any other customers because if they don't know what to look for, they could eat it and get very sick. She proceeded to just stand there and my mom asked, "So, is that it?" And I responded with, "Well there's nothing more that can be done." And Kimberly said "yeah" and just left. My wife and I were out going to her Dr appointments and in between them she decided she wanted lunch and wanted to come here so off we go. We get there and there's a slight lunch rush but we were promptly tended to. We both opted for the 2 for lunch specials. My wife opted for the turkey Sammie and the Tomato Basil soup and I opted for the steak and arugula Sammie with the chili and a slice of lemon bar. We both opted for the black currant tea and it was a pleasant surprise and then our lunch was brought to our table. My Sammie was a bit dry but once I customized it with some Grey Poupon and mayo and it came alive. The chili was so yummy and my wife enjoyed her lunch as well. The Chicken Rosa is my go to option whenever I pop up there. It's good and I've been to a few of the different Corner Bakery Cafes in the El Paso area and,they have been consistent between the establishments as far as portion and presentation. Two thumbs up! Today the food was great but our server was a little dingy. We had to keep asking for things over and over. I'm not sure what the issue was. Maybe he just liked walking back and forth from our table to the kitchen but it took too many trips just to get a small tin of ranch and marina for a table of five. What is the best way to describe CBC? I think if you were to cross Cracker Barrel with Panera Bread, you'd get this place. When I first walked in, I expected it to be more like a sit down and THEN order your food type of place. Instead, it's the exact opposite. The menu is presented in fast food fashion. Yet this food is far more superior than that. Everything here is made fresh and to order. The menu items are extremely affordable. Plus I like that they have 4 different roasts of coffee. Oh, major kudos to these folks for featuring kosher salt and fresh ground peppercorn at every table! I tried the All American Scrambler just to gauge the caliber of their eggs. And they pass the test. I immediately became a huge fan of their potatoes, since I love how they come with onion. Seeing as how this place is basically half sit down restaurant and half short order, I could easily see myself coming here for breakfast during the busy work week. The service here is lightning fast and you can even place online orders, if so inclined. I realize this place also serves lunch and dinner items. Though personally, I'd mainly recommend CBC for breakfast. Overall rating: best representation of short order breakfast so far! read more

Usually I come here and I get very good service from the staff.. today, the cashier/ order taker Dwight L. , called us up to take our order and instead of taking our order decided to keep talking with another employee who was there. Maybe after 20 secs he acknowledged we were there and then asked what we wanted .. kept talking with his buddy while we were trying to order so I kept having to repeat myself...if you don't feel like taking orders talk to your manager to switch you to a better spot for your talk time. The salads are great when you eat in the restaurant. Do not order salads to go, they use old lettuce, and they're not consistent with the amount you'll get. Sometimes you get a full box and the next time is half full. Yesterday i ordered a salad from the Airways location, when I got it, I told the employee that it didn't look fresh. She told she was sorry, that she would have them remake it. I think they just added more salad to the top, because when i was eating it, all the old lettuce was at the bottom. My favorite ELP breakfast. The pancakes are well-prepared, light, fluffy and very tasty. They aren't humongous nor are they dollar sized. Often they will bring out a different seasonal pancake. I love this place for their pet friendly outdoor patio. I was out on the patio last week enjoying a day off and meeting with some gal pals for lunch. I just did not want to leave Luciano (my little dog) home alone one more day, so we went on an adventure. He totally behaved and was digging the scene. I love the corner bakery chain, and have had great experiences in other locations but this location is disappointing. I have ordered take out a number of times and my order has been wrong every time. When I go in to pick up My order my presence at the counter is not even acknowledged for a while. I understand when they are busy during a morning rush but when I'm literally the only one in the restaurant a quick greeting would be nice. There doesn't seem to be any pride in what the workers are serving (hence the pic). It's useless to bring it to the attention of the manager as she appears to be too "busy" or excuse the service. I usually wouldn't say anything but this continues to happen and I continue to make excuses for the poor service which is why I return, but now I'm done.
