A small unassuming bakery I found when looking up for sweets in El Paso. When I came in the afternoon nearly everything was sold out but was able to try three things that were all good. Went to buy French baguettes and also ended up buying some of their desserts. Did they change their baguettes recipe?? It was okay (just okay but not really like their previous baguette) but not the same size, shape or taste of their usual baguettes or how they use to make them. The cheesecake was dry and not creamy like other times (seemed like it was a couple of days old). Everything else however was delicious and the Bella Cora cake was especially a hit. Only 3 stars because of the cheesecake and baguette. Please bring back the previous way you were making your baguettes as this current one is not as good. read more

I was so excited to try Bella Cora because I had heard great things about it from my friends! Plus they were on sugar rush! The store is in a little niche on the left of Daddy Wings and to the right of the arteries and veins which can be easily overlooked. My friends and I arrived around 12pm but most of the items besides the macaroons were mostly sold out! However, I could see that they were still preparing fresh macaroons! Chocolate Chip cookie:5 The cookie was amazing! There was a rich flavor from the brown sugar and spices which I loved. While it was soft, the texture reminded me of an oatmeal cookie even though there were no oatmeal. If I could put it into context, it was a gourmet Costco cookie but while I'd get sick of the Costco cookie after three of them I could eat dozens of these! Brownie: 4 The brownie was amazing but what makes it a 4 for me is that I am not team "fudge brownie". The texture was like a chocolate truffle and it even tasted like a gourmet chocolate truffle! However, I prefer my brownies to be between fudgy and cakey instead of completely one or the other I definitely will try to come early next time so I can try their tarts! 2020DEC. Visited Bella Cora Bakery for the first time after their East Location on Joe Battle Sponsored the Yelpies event. My friend had additionally bought more baked goods that day which he shared during the event and I loved them all. I visited with the intent of buying something special for 1 January but I arrived 10 minutes before they closed so there were not many choices. However, I did experience great costumer service and everything else I got was delicious. A couple creme brûlée, lemon bars, chocolate tart, and bread. For the everyday baked goods, special occasions and just because stopping by Bella Cora Bakery is a must. Looking forward to try many more of their baked goods. read more

I'm not sure how it is possible that I never wrote a review for Bella Cora. I though I did..... Anyhow, since I moved to El Paso 4 years ago, Bella Cora is no doubt the best bakery in town. It is also the only bakery that is somewhat closed to a French bakery. No La Madeline is not even close. Unfortunately, they don't have all the French classics, but the items they do make, they make it well. I wish someone will continue this legacy after this year! read more

I'm sorry to say that a recent cheesecake I ordered for my son's birthday was not what I expected nor was the quality what I would've liked. After being asked while placing my order if I wanted berries on the whole cheesecake or just a small section, I replied that I'd like the whole cheesecake covered, but only got a small section. I've heard a lot of hype around this place and was finally able to try it. Ambiance - Tucked in a small corner of a strip mall, the place screams bakery in a good way. It feels homey. Service - I was very indecisive but the ladies behind the counter were super helpful in explaining their selection as well as their opinions. Food - The rose macaron was delicious! I've always found it difficult to fully capture the flavor of "rose" in any type of food with most places just using it as an aesthetic, but Bella Cora was able to actually make the rose macaron with just enough flavor to make it delicious w/o being overwhelming. Despite being in El Paso numerous times, I never got the chance to visit Bella Cora, until recently. Locals rave about this location as being the best French Bakery in El Paso, and I may have to agree! I immediately walked in and was drawn to their pastry case. The young man working the counter was also extremely helpful and kind in taking my order. Bella Cora gets an A in presentation and taste. I ordered macarons and a tiramisu for my partner and I, and we finished all of them in one sitting. These macarons were so delicious and actually a larger size than most of the ones I've ordered from other places. The tiramisu was so light, with the perfect amount of coffee and sweetness. If you are ever in the mood for French patisserie, I would highly recommend Bella Cora. Next time I am back, I would love to try other flavors. read more

I heard a lot of good things about Bella Cora's pies from lots of people. I knew I had to try one someday. Well that day was finally today, Thanksgiving morning 2020. WOW! I am completely blown away by their salted caramel pie. It's outstanding, amazing and all of that with a bag of chips. It's a little bit sweet but once you keep eating it, it's magical and keeps on getting better in taste. I love the caramel on top that's mixed in with the pecan filling and crust. The crust is another story but it's wonderful. It's flaky and just meshes well with the caramel and pecan mixture. In the past, I've tried their other sweets like macarons and small cakes. They're really good too but the pie is out of this world for me. I also got some buttered rolls. They were tasty as well. Everything has always tasted fresh from Bella Cora. Their pie is now legendary for me. I think it's going to become a Thanksgiving and/or Christmas tradition to buy one every year going forward. I haven't tried any of their other pies yet but I know I will. For sure, I will keep buying their salted caramel. The price is a bit steep ($30) but it was worth every penny and then some. This pie is like gold! If you haven't tried it yet, do so as soon as you get a chance. Gosh, I'm still in LA LA land after eating this pie. The four stars is for the seating which was cramped and surrounded by flour bags -- I definitely recommend taking your tasty treats to go! I love it when a bakery has sit down inside tables and serves coffee. I ordered a tiny coconut cake to go because I am a coconut cake freak! Oh yeah and a cream puff and coffee to have here. I am a french macaron monster and I always enjoy comparing different places. I usually go to Wholefoods in the west side for my macaron fix. I usually get the pistachio because it is not as sweet as the rest of the flavors. Wholefoods version has more creamier filling than Bella Cora's pistachio macaron filling but BC's macaron cookie has more flavor dimensions in their cookie. Unfortunately, BC is too sweet for me. So really it is subjective. BC is several cents cheaper than WF macaron. Obsessed! That's really all that needs to be said. Honestly, you don't need to read any further...but I'll tell you about it anyway! So I originally stumbled upon Belle Sucre's delicious pastries at the Chocolate Affair hosted by KISS FM (it's annual so keep an eye out if you want to try mountains of sweets). Belle Sucre Bakery had the longest line out of all the vendor because it is just that good. I already thought highly of their customer service because while people waited they were handing out cookies and chocolates (yes, they gave additional treats on top of what was already included). Every thing they had was made to perfection...I promise you, you will not find a better bakery in El Paso. After trying their Macaron (a Macaron is a meringue filled French pastry, a Macaroon is a cookie) I was absolutely hooked. Just the perfect amount of sweet and tart. And the variety...BSB has so many different types of Macarons. But maybe Macarons aren't for you, don't worry they serve almost anything your heart could desire. Lemon Bars, Tiramisu, Eclairs, Tarts, Cookies, Cakes, Croissants, Muffins, and more! BSB items are fresh, handmade and they just look beautiful. Also, I've heard their Nutter Butter Cookies are AMAZING, but I always go before closing and there usually gone by then. Okay, so the environment. It's clean, open. The kitchen is completely open, which I love because I can't tell you how many bakeries I've been to in EP that are iffy in the cleanliness department...so thank you Belle Sucre. One of the few bakeries on the west side serving truly fresh pastries and cookies! I was searching for macarons and ended up loving the peanut butter sugar cookie most! It's rare to find a chewy fresh not too salty cookie these days. Jackpot! The next time I went I ordered a creme brûlée which they torched to order and it was perfectly creamy, rich, and flavorful compared to the one from la Madeleine that I typically get. This is a small little business that makes some great macarons. Their selection can be slim but their menu is ever changing. It's pretty affordable and everything is baked fresh. For me, it's great to stop by on my way back to Las Cruces and have a snack while I drive. There's limited seating (about 2 tables) so I'd probably suggest taking them and eating at home.
