I came here hoping the tamales and concha's would be good but I got 4 chocolate concha's that were just not fresh, I also got tamales de raja con queso and they were not good.. the masa was thick and dry they literally fell apart... the lady was helpful but not very friendly. The establishment was clean and very neat.. I don't think I would come back personally because of the drive... however they had a lot of options to choose from and perhaps I just didn't get lucky.. read more

February 2021 Visited "El Paso's Bakery" after passing by Fort Street and finding the original bakery I was planning to purchase my sweets from was closed due to COVID19. El Paso's Bakery saved the day. They had everything available from pan dulce to tortillas, chicharrones, totopos, etc still serving their clients with proper health measures. All the pan dulce and bolillos were recently out of the oven. Everything tasted authentic and fresh. I purchased 7 huge pieces of pan dulce and for that it was just $7 plus change. I have passed El Paso's Bakery a few times and have been curious each time telling myself I will stop the next time. I finally stopped in last week and I wish I did much sooner! The selection and friendliness here beats any other bakery I have been to in town. I love the self serve for bakery items and the precautions they have in place currently for covid. All of their bakery items are very affordable and the tortillas...oh my goodness. Hands down the best tortillas I have bought since moving to El Paso! I love and hate this place. I hate how close this place is to my house and how convenient it is to go here . I love how fresh their food are. They are my togo to for tortillas, rolls and other baked goods. Their prices are fairly inexpensive and everything seems fresh all day long. Everyone who works here is also really nice. I've only been in El Paso a month and I came here on the recommendation of my neighbor who's been in the area for twentyish years. She's correct. This place is amazing. read more

Raymond was so helpful over the phone, and made it easy to make a custom order. They made fabulous looking cookies for a special occasion! They invited me though Square which made it super easy. When I arrived, due to road work and sidewalk repair there were no parking spots, but they went out of their way to accommodate me, delivering my package to the car because I couldn't find a handicapped spot. I will say that this is my first time ordering a cake from this bakery so I really didn't know what to expect. The people there were nice and accommodating which I really appreciate. They were able to come up with design as close to what I originally liked which is awesome. The only and the biggest problem I had was the day of my son's birthday when we cut through the cake it was extremely dry. The kids didn't even want to eat it as well as some of the adults. Bouillos, or Pan Blanca as I think they are called are amazing here!! I watched a man put a big row of uncooked bread into an old fashioned brick oven. It gives the bread an unreplicatable taste and texture. Warm, moist on the inside, and perfectly browned outside. You can only get this good the old fashioned way. I refuse to eat any other breads anymore since tasting this delicacy. Which updates my review ro 5 stars. I will never go anywhere else. read more

A lot of their food were broken or fell apart when you try to picked them up. They don't have a price list for anything and when you are paying there's not a customer screen to show what's been rung up. The workers are not helpful at all. It's unfortunate when you love bread, considering it is the root of all evil. This bakery has a lot of options or evil whatever your perspective may be. The bakery looks well kept and you can literally see them making the food in kitchen. The customer service was awesome! The young man who helped us was very nice and acknowledged our coupon even though he had no idea what yelp was. I have to mention the music:-) the bakery was playing 50s music! I recently went to this place for the first time to get a dozen tamales and 7 pieces of bread. I walked out of there having paid $45 dollars!!! The tamales werent even that good. On Piedras, what else do you do? Follow the road to this bakery! First off---nice view! Opened the door and smelled the freshly baked bread! Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot of options left when we got there around 3pm. Took a tray and started my rounds- lemon biscochio looked amazing so picked a few of them. The bread were rock hard!! What?!!! I took the one that was still a bit soft that was almost as big as my head. Ventured to the right and got a mango empanada and a brownie. All that for $2.63! Yay! As soon as I paid, I popped one biscochio in my mouth-- wow! It melted! That was good! I wanted more-- I should've gotten more. The brownie was gooey and tasted like it came from an expensive bakery. The frosting was a little too sweet so I scrapped it off and all was good in the neighborhood! The chocolate flavor was intense! Just what I wanted. The mango empanada was also great! Not too sweet and the dough was flaky but held its own. The bread? Hard and meh. Maybe toast it?! Not bad for the amount I paid but would love to get some softer bread next time?!Maybe I'll come in early. read more

He "couldn't find the button to charge for chocolate cake" and instead of asking for help he overcharged me for HALF A GALLON OF CHOCOLATE MILK. They have much later hours than most bakeries I've seen. Their tortillas are my #1 favorite in El Paso. They do excellent custom cakes and also have a great selection of ready made cakes. They take good precautions regarding COVID with hand sanitizer at the door and limiting numbers of people inside at a time. read more

Just stopped by some biscochos as I'm having friends and family over for Mexican food tomorrow evening. This small box which has about 30-35 small cookies was almost $7! What a ripoff - sold by the pound and it's only half a pound. Biscochos are over $10 a pound? Won't be coming here again. read more

I had my son's cake done by El Paso's Bakery and it was such a great cake! They delivered, set up and even added some extras to make the cake look even better. My son was so happy about his cake. Ordering was fast, easy and everything was done exactly as we wanted it too. Was so delicious as well! We will definitely get the rest of our son's cakes done here (or for any special occasion for that matter). The service was professional and loved the convenience of paying over the phone. The price for the cake matches the work and detail they put into it (but it's also not overpriced). I really wanted to like this place, I did, but having gone back several times, I think this last time did it for me. I picked out three pieces of bread. None of the bread looked appetizing because some of them were messed up and what I mean by messed up is that they were broken or looked like someone cut pieces off of some. I understand that's normal in the baking and frosting process, some of the pan dulce is gonna mess up but you don't put half a donut out in the display to sell for regular price, come on.... So I went up to the register and while the attendant was ringing me up I found a hair on a piece of a chocolate cake I got. I told him and they replaced it with this small little piece. So I paid and left. When I got home I tried the bread and man was it stale! I'm sure it was a couple days old. read more

We stumbled upon this place because we were going to go eat at Delicious Restaurant and it was packed. So, we were starving and walked a few steps and bumped into El Paso's Bakery, and I'm glad we did. This place was amazing -- the bread was phenomenal. This establishment has its pros and cons. Pros--small, local business in which you are able to hand select your pastries by putting them on a tray and then give to cashier, they sell traditional Mexican cookies/pastries, along with a few standard donut choices like glazed and chocolate sprinkles. Cons-we stumbled around a bit trying to figure out how to get pastries out of the cases since there weren't any tongs or papers. The cashier watched us without any input, finally I asked, and he then led us to trays and tongs that were tucked in the corner by a drink cooler. Got the tray, but was dirty, got another tray, its dirty, finally got a tray and wiped it off myself. A lot of the food looked old, some were even broken or fell apart when we picked them up. They don't have a price list for anything other than their cookies and when paying there isn't a customer screen to show what's being rung up.
