Update: I had to come back and update my review because several people told me to try the French toast... and they were absolutely right. I came back yesterday to try it, then came back again today because I couldn't stop thinking about it. This is hands down the best French toast I've ever had. It's listed under the dessert menu, but I honestly think it belongs on the breakfast menu. I expected it to be overly sweet, but it wasn't at all. The homemade berry jam is light and delicate, the fresh berries add little bursts of flavor, and the creamy yogurt topping gives it the perfect amount of tang. Everything is balanced beautifully. The brioche is thick, soft, and soaked all the way through without being soggy. Every bite had a different texture, and I actually found myself slowing down because I didn't want it to end. I also tried one of their coffee drinks. It was good, but I'd still come back just for the French toast. One thing worth mentioning: I didn't realize you have to leave your tip when you place your order because there's no option to add one afterward. Once I figured that out, I made sure to tip them well on my return visits because they absolutely deserved it. The service has been consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff even recognized me after seeing me all week while my kids were at the clay camp next door and gave me a small discount today. It was such a thoughtful gesture. Bravo Coffee House has definitely earned a repeat customer. I'll be back long after clay camp is over. Previous: I discovered Bravo Coffee House because my kids have been attending the clay camp next door all week. Since camp is two hours long, it didn't make sense to drive home, so I decided to check it out. I had no idea it was here, and I was surprised to learn they've only been open about 10 months. The shop is simple, clean, and very welcoming. Everyone on the staff was friendly, and the owner even came by to ask how everything was. I wasn't in the mood for coffee, so they recommended their freshly made watermelon agua fresca. It was refreshing and delicious. I also tried the mushroom pozole, which had a light, flavorful broth and several different kinds of mushrooms. You can tell they care about quality. The homemade tortilla chips weren't really my favorite, but I appreciated the owner explaining that they're made fresh from tortillas in-house. I always appreciate businesses that genuinely want feedback. The atmosphere is great if you're looking for a quiet place to relax or get some work done. It's nice to see a local business like this helping bring more life to the Alameda area. I'll definitely be back to try the coffee next time. read more

Small unassuming diner outside the downtown noise. Liz and I stopped to try out this joint while returning home from dropping the car off. As we pulled up, the block around the diner was surrounded by cars parked along the street. We ended up parking a block away by some abandoned buildings. When we got in, there were a few people in line waiting to order. There was still plenty of seating, tables, and high chair seating along the front windows. We ordered some coffee, a cheesecake, and breakfast. I ordered an Americano, Liz ordered something with oat milk, and a cheesecake, which I thought was a bit early...but hey, to each their own (I would retract the statement later). It took a minute to get the drinks, but water was available while we waited. The cheesecake was simple, but very good...I recommend this with your hot drinks. They brought the rest of our order a little bit afterwards. I enjoyed my huevos divorciados. I thought the russet potatoes were pretty good, they were cooked and salted so that it was a bonus to the plate. I also noted that the smokey red salsa was very well flavored. The plate comes with three eggs, the potatoes, beans sprinkled with cotija cheese, and two corn tortillas. Liz ordered chicken enchiladas. That came with two eggs, and the same beans. Stumbled on this quaint spot on our visit from Dallas and we are so happy we tried it. The food was fresh and I loved their sweet take on the avocado toast. My food: 100/10 probably the best French Toast I've had in a long time. My friend's review of the enchiladas: The enchiladas are perfectly balanced: chicken is tender, and the sauce isn't overpowering but perfectly mixes with the flavors of the fresh vegetables. THIS IS THE BEST MEXICAN RICE I HAVE EVER HAD. 10000/10. Will 100% be coming again Drinks: we both got Iced Mochas (mine with almond milk, hers with oat milk) and they are so good! They can adjust the level of cacao that they put!! Vibes/Ambiance and Service: Everyone was super friendly and sweet, both the workers and the other patron! Service was alright I think we definitely irritated one of the ladies, also if you get the chai latte ask for a syrup trust me, it's a cool ambiance, I'm personally particular about food presentation , this was beautifully plated.
