It's been a long time since I've been to a corner bakery and I found it still delicious. While out on a walk back to our hotel, we found the corner bakery and decided to grab a breakfast sandwich. Bacon, egg and cheese panini on sourdough. It was toasted to perfection. It was made with egg whites, which I didn't request and/or realize. I like my yolks, nevertheless is was still tasty and when I'm back in Denver, I would go to this breakfast and lunch spot again. I wish there was one closer to me. It's been years since I've dined at a Corner Bakery Cafe, and it was mostly in Southern California. Since we were staying at the Hilton Denver City Center, it was located right next door. On our first visit, we got muffins and the Little Guy got the BELT Breakfast Sandwich $10.99, which was Bacon, Egg, Lettuce and Tomato. The muffins were fine, and the sandwich was enjoyed. I wouldn't say it was anything special, nor was it worth the price. We returned the next day because we were in a rush and just needed to eat quickly before our flight. The Little Guy got the same BELT Sandwich and I got the Chicken Rosa Pasta $13.59. The pasta was pretty horrible. It was "grilled chicken, Parmesan, spinach, oven-roasted tomato, cavatappi pasta, pesto, tomato cream sauce, toasted breadcrumbs." It was very watered down and had minimal flavor. There was also very little chicken, spinach, tomatoes, etc. in the dish. I would not recommend. If I wasn't in a rush, I probably would have sent it back. ORDER Fresh Yogurt and Berry Parfait - Granola is crunchy and good. It's not too sweet overall which is good. The fruit was super fresh and given in nice portions in relation to the yogurt. Chicken Pomodori - This is a sandwich with grilled chicken, spinach, tomato, basil, aioli, and more. The bread on the outside is crispy. Great flavor overall, though a bit more sauce could be good for further enhancing the flavor and experience of eating this sandwich. Cold Brew with Vanilla - Pretty alright. Just tastes like normal coffee. I ordered it twice and it's pretty inconsistent with the amount of vanilla they put in. One day it was super sweet, and another day it was less sweet. Good enough for me to drink to energize me for the whole day though! VIBES The place is pretty spacious with lots of seating from booths to chairs with tables. The staff was very kind and welcoming and made us feel important. We ordered the yogurt parfait, a small coffee, and a chicken sausage breakfast wrap. Let me start of by saying that the staff at this locale is extremely welcoming and attentive. The establishment itself is very clean and inviting, with ample space to eat either inside or outside. While it is a quick and easy place to go for breakfast or lunch, I wouldn't go here unless I had to. The food was fine at best, but the prices leave much to be desired. The portions are extremely small, so if you want to pay upwards of $25 for a small sandwich and side salad, this is the place to go. Our work had Corner Bakery catered for breakfast. Loved the yogurt parfait bar. Yogurt, fruit, granola and the best part...a yummy sweet bread with big sugar crystals (a thin biscotti type thing).
