One of my favorite places to eat, I've been here and multiple other locations and I absolutely love Corner Bakery. I'm writing a review because I was left a wonderful impression from all the staff I encountered. All were so friendly and attentive, my food was fresh and hot and it came to me in a very timely manner! Portions are perfect for me, I always get the choose 2 and it fills me up perfectly, I never leave feeling disappointed. Me and my husband had a quick lunch at this location , and 3 Ladies were at the front, giggling and no greetings or what at all, but I was busy looking for my rewards on my email, and I admitted to the Lady I was not that high tech and was having a hard time looking for my reward. But the more they made me feel uncomfortable and looked down on me. I asked if they can give the code. I understand if they were not allowed to, so I said it's okay. So I ended up paying more than I should if I used a discount code. It was my birthday month and I knew I had something on my rewards I read earlier. One of our group members had bought there own food, from outside because of lent. The manager just walks out and starts yelling as if were dogs sitting in front of him. The second trip to this location I stopped in around 8 am to grab some pastries and coffee for a meeting in then area... the staff was just awful. I was grabbing food for 8 people.. shouldn't be that hard to accommodate considering the line usually has about 10 people in it. I absolutely recommend THIS Corner Bakery. I was craving their oatmeal and got there at 12:30 pm to only find out they don't serve breakfast after 11 am. I was also craving the sweet crisps and apparently they sold the last bag to the lady in front of me. The sweet Manager/Owner who's name I didn't catch told me that a new batch of the crips would be ready in 3 hours if I wanted to come back. When I ended up going back and the same Manager/Owner was there and she recognized me. I immediately asked for 2 bags of crisps and she basically gave me incredible customer service for perhaps the inconvenience. She was thoughtful and made my day by her kind giving gesture. Went in here 2 days ago. Disgusting. The tables and floors were filthhyyyyy. Looks like they had not been cleaned for over a week. Food was anemic at best, definitely not the worth the price nor the long wait time. Salad lettuce was wilted and bad, sandwich was dry and old. I am writing to make a serious complaint about your store in Burbank, CA . I went there on Monday Veterans Day 11/12/18 @ 1020am with my family and we always go to this store since its closet to home. We had movie tickets around the corner so we wanted so breakfast. I paid for the order got my table buzzer and 3 drink cups and sat down with my wife and 10yo daughter. 20 minutes went by and i saw people the ordered ahead of me and after me getting there food. So i went up to the counter and there was another lady working back of counter with the rude cashier and i asked where my order was? I could see my pancake breakfast was sitting up ready to go out under the heat lamp but no sandwich at this time i was told we are still waiting for your sandwich and then both ladies ignored me and walked away. Why wouldnt they have given me my pancake breakfast and both items that are pre made at that time, so i went back and sat down. 10 minutes later i went back up and still my pancake breakfast was still sitting there and when the lady at the counter asked the cooks for the sandwich they shrugged there shoulders like they knew nothing about having to make a sandwich (very odd!!!). I usually dont make a big deal in a restaurant but this day being veterans day (as i am one) and out with family and the rudeness of the staff at this store I immediately asked for a full refund on my order and left with a very bad taste in my mouth about future visits to corner bakery especially that one. My favorite Corner Bakery treats: peanut butter chocolate chips cookie (they don't make it anymore) and this crispy thin sliced bread with raisin. I couldn't remember the name but it's sprinkled with sugar on top and it's sold in a bag of maybe 6 slices. I'm still hoping they will sell peanut butter chocolate chips cookies again =( Those were the only peanut butter cookies I would eat. We ordered 20 lunch boxes for an event yesterday. They were delivered on time and everything was well packaged. There were 4 assorted sandwiches, but CB accommodated special requests for gluten-free, or no avocado on one of the Turkey sandwiches. Everything was fresh - great sandwich, chips, cookie, a mixed green salad on the side and a fruit cup. We were very pleased and some of us had leftovers for the next day! I was going to original give this place 4 stars. I wasn't greeted and had to wait to get my order in. They don't offer almond milk but so have soy milk,meh... and had to wait more than I expected, since there was no one in front of me when I was waiting to place my order, I thought it wouldn't take long. BUT, my food was well made, bacon was perfectly crisp and the young lady that brought out the food also picked up my plate when I was done and was very friendly and professional. There's plenty of seating and the place is nice and clean. If I'm in the area again I would definitely stop by again. I seldom go out with the group for lunch and often just go out later by myself, simply because I don't want to leave unfinished business and get interrupted whatever I'm doing just to eat lunch. However, in view of the announced impending job lay-offs in our company, where one out of four (25%) will be let go within first quarter of this year, I've started going out with them lately, because by the end of next month, we may not see each other again. With that aside, I went with the group this afternoon, who decided to go to the Corner Bakery. The place incidentally happens to be located right in the corner of San Fernando & Burbank Blvd in Burbank and just a short drive away from the office. It's the first time I've been to this place, so I let them went ahead of me at the counter, as I took some time to read the choices. Then, I just choose the roast beef sandwich and a cup of chicken noodle soup. The food was not necessarily spectacular, but it was really good for just less than $10 only. Also, the charming server with a nice tattoo on her right arm, chastised the rest of my colleagues for not waiting for me, because I was the last one who got served. Huh, didn't even realize this was a chain. Anyway, Corner Bakery offers some good breakfast/lunch fare at reasonable prices. I've only eaten at the restaurant once, but have had various vendors provide us breakfast, lunch, or just some pastries and I've enjoyed everything I've had. The cookies are really good, my favorites are chocolate chip and the m&m cookie. The flavor is exactly right. Salads taste fresh and the sandwiches are quite good. The ingredients aren't dry tasting and they don't slather on too much spread. The one time I ate in, I had a panini and it was alright. I didn't write home about it, but I'm mentioning it now so apparently it made a lasting impresssion. I came on a rainy evening for a quick bite before going to a movie and the staff was attentive and I didn't have to wait too long for my food. Breakfasts I've had were also fairly good. Bagels aren't my favorite, but their granola for the yogurt parfaits is amazing. I wouldn't say the food is high quality or trendy, it's standard American let's-eat-and-go type cuisine. Parking can be a bit of a pain as this is in that area of Burbank by IKEA and my spidy-senses tell me that some IKEA shoppers who are too lazy to in the structure park here and shop there... SANDWICH FOR LUNCH? Parking in the back (FREE) is pretty cool, yet during lunch time... they get packed. With the minimum parking space they have, you would usually have to wait a while until you can get parking. DON'T PARK AT: IKEA, Chase Bank or else were... you will get your car towed. I've seen people do that and its not good. Otherwise... the atmosphere is clean, yet the seating inside is kind of limited... Kind of a first come, first serve bases. Do note, if being accompenied by a friend or relative... have them tell you want they want (while you stand in line) to order and they find a place to sit. Works out well that way... otherwise your going to get the order number and look like a fool trying to find a table when others have first with standing by friends have first dibs. Finally finding a table and setting your number on the number call locator... they bring your food to you... Remember, if your on a 30-45min. break, I don't recommend you coming here, since they are quite slow in bringing your food and you may be late for work. I do recommend getting their home made potato soup, crispy green salad and or sandwiches (they do have various kinds)... pick and choose wisely... Come before lunch or after lunch... to get parking quick and wont have to wait inside to get a table after ordering your meal. B+ 4 Stars read more

Jeison, who was my cashier, is one of the friendliest people in the world. The line was a bit long, but he made eye contact with each person in line to give a warm smile. When I approached, he seemed genuinely happy to be working- which is a rare encounter these days in customer service. I had some extra time to spare so I enjoyed my coffee and breakfast sandwich indoors and he walked around and greeted customers to make sure all was good. We had visitors over so we decided to go here on New Years Eve. When we got there it was five minutes after 6:00 pm and didn't know they close early at 6:00 on New Years Day. We later noticed a tiny sticker on the glass door in small text of the holiday hours. Another family approached and the parents were very upset when they didn't know about it, and didn't see the sign as well until I showed it to them. No one will be able to notice that tiny black text printed on cheap adhesive clear tape on your glass door. I would suggest spend a little more for a better signage with text that are more visible. read more

HEAVY SIGH. Naturally after getting my order home (I never freakin' remember to check it in the store, which is my own damn fault), what do I see? Tomatoes. The food here (and at our local one in Valencia) is very good. A good selection of sandwiches, salads, soups, some pasta entrees, and breakfast in the mornings. Everything tastes fresh and of good quality. My favorites are the DC chicken salad, the egg salad with dill, the Uptown turkey sandwich, and the roasted tomato and basil soup. The problem is the service. Always slow, so I always call ahead, which creates more problems. Calls are dropped or left on hold forever (a few of them are probably still on hold somewhere.) Orders are ALWAYS mangled - not sometimes, not often, ALWAYS. So therefore ALWAYS check what they give you THOROUGHLY, or you'll find you've gotten a smear of tuna on a breadstick and a packet of splenda for $16.47. I could eat their Berry Almond Swiss Oatmeal every day. For every meal. I have tried to recreate it at home -- after all, it's oatmeal, yogurt, currants, apples, strawberries, and other yummy fruits -- but something about it defies knock-off attempts. It's incredibly satisfying, meaning you don't get that heavy sick feeling that you get after a big plate of pancakes. Several times when I've had it, I've been full and happy for a long time afterward, so much so that I missed lunch (a rare occurrence for me). They serve breakfast until 11am on weekdays and noon on weekends, otherwise I would eat it for practically every meal. The Baked French Toast is also very good, and the people I go with love the Farmer's Scrambler (scrambled eggs with cheese and veggies to spice it up) and the All-American Scrambler (scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes). I've had a few bites of these, so I can vouch for their yummy breakfastness. For some reason, though I could eat the Berry Almond Swiss Oatmeal in perpetuity until I die, I'm kind of bored with the sandwiches. I may just have come here too many times in too-rapid succession, but I've tried all the panini and sandwiches that interest me, and now I'm not so keen on them. The Chicken Tortilla Soup (served Sunday through Tuesday) is great, though, as is the Pesto Cavatappi (pasta in delicious cream sauce). Oh, and the D.C. Chicken Salad is incredible. My mother likes to order it as a sandwich, and also as all three parts of a Trio Salad, for leftovers. Once or twice when a friend has ordered the Club Panini (turkey, bacon, cheese, tomatoes on sourdough), the bacon has been a little soft and light, making us wonder if it was cooked? Erg. Still, the reason I probably wore myself out on this place to begin with is that it occupies a special niche in Burbank: it's inexpensive and fits in the space between fast food (In 'N Out) and sit-down restaurants (almost everywhere else on San Fernando).
