The garden has a beautiful layout with well-maintained displays showcasing a variety of flowers, succulents, shrubs, herbs, pottery, and trees. I've visited this garden a few times now and each time, the staff members have been incredibly friendly and eager to assist with any questions I may have. They've even helped bring my fruit trees out to my car. The service here is excellent, and they seem to have almost everything I need. So far, I've purchased two Sugar Cane Jujube trees, a cherry tree, a purple and red pepper plant, a few Jade plants, and some flowers to enhance my garden. If you haven't visited Enchanted Gardens, you should definitely add it to your agenda. The fun seasonal decorations are worth the trip alone, and they're perfect for taking pictures.

After giving us the golf cart tour, she gave us several flags to place in containers of the trees we liked and then John helped us narrow down and select the perfect sizes for our backyard. We chose three 15-gallon Eagleston Hollies (5-6' planted) because we're DIYers; however, Bownds also offers delivery and planting services. If you've been shocked by the skyrocketing price of trees at the usual locations, then you will be pleasantly surprised at the pocket-friendly pricing Bownds extends to retail customers. Do not expect a large staff or miscellaneous garden center plants, this is a family-run business that specializes in trees and only trees. The geraniums for $9.99 did not look fresh and appeared dry and yellowish. They had some interesting petunias. I left after buying plants and felt less satisfied from my usual experience with them so I also stopped by their Voss location today -the geraniums there for $9.99 were gorgeous and colorful and well watered. The staff were so cheerful and helpful and greeting all of us and made a big effort to do so. I happily bought more plants there. Room for improvement at this location.

Went to check out and he says the tag is wrong on the palm and it's several hundred more and there's was wrong. Then he tells me the Italian Cypress plants I hand picked and took out to the parking lot were tagged wrong as well and were over $100 more each. I show him a whole wall of them all tagged the same. He said they were all tagged wrong. And to top it off no one at the entire place spoke English or knew what was going on. What a terrible way to do business. Will never go back.

On what is arguably THE busiest day for both florists and restaurants alike, you want me to magically pull 3 specially-delivered bouquets and a nice restaurant reservation out of my WHAT?! In desperation, I make my call to Katy Flower Market. I spoke with Darwin, who took all my information and - even though on Valentine's Day they cannot guarantee a time, and I could tell my request was far-fetched and somewhat difficult for them to do on such a busy day - had my roses delivered straight to the restaurant well before their reservation. My boss showed me a picture of the three bouquets, and the flowers were gorgeous - fresh roses that were just barely blooming, so I knew they would last longer than a day or two. I was nervous that, in placing my order so late, that the flowers would be the "leftovers," but these bunches were carefully arranged and quite lovely. In terms of pricing, it is on par with other florists in the area. They have the same styles at comparable prices. No complaints at all with the pricing. I am so impressed (an almost impossible feat with me) with the courtesy of the staff and the extra mile they went to help make my boss' last-minute idea come to fruition. Depending on your…read moreproject you can shop at the big box stores which provide for your average needs, but if you are doing any kind of private landscaping, gardening or want the exacting standards of quality materials with low environmental impact then local businesses like Nature's Way Resources is the way to go. For this project, I aerated and dethatched part of my front yard and it was in need of a good base layer for the soil to recover; in addition to, landscaping a front patio area. I ordered 1 1/2 Cubic Yard Leaf Mold Compost, 1/2 Yard of Landscaper mix, a few Black-eyed Susan, a Mexican Sage bush and some other pollinators. Due to the time saved from gathering all my materials from this one location saved me $$$ and I was able to complete the project in a weekend. If your need is not as expansive they offer bagged soil for smaller needs, but to get the best value I would partner with a fellow DIYers with pickup trucks and order loose materials or have it delivered on site. Nature's Way Resources also have a big selection of mulch, compost, fertilizers and offer a Green Waste Recycling program. If you read this post to the end, I will let you in on a little secret.....they have a rock garden in the rear where contractors and DIYers dump material not needed and you will find some gems for FREE. All you need to do is sign a liability waiver at the front desk and recommend you have some sturdy steel toe boots, gloves, and watch out for critters.
