Aptly named. Enchanted Gardens (EG) is an enchantment any time of the year. My aunt, childhood friend of 45/6 years, and I love it so much here. For my aunt, it's the go-to place for entire flats of mix and match edible plants, and also unusual plants. She says it's the best quality, selection and price. She now goes here with friends and family when I cannot go with her. For my friend its an opportunity for fancifulness, like you're in the opening of a Disney female main character scene where nature is chirping and buzzing in a concentration of a diverse, bountiful, beautiful plant life, and for me its both the practicality of edible plants, native plants, and unusual plants. I've seen the owner give a talk at OHBA. It cemented my respect for EG. So much comprehensive knowledge, and deep care. Before, I had noticed the employees are happy, present, and knowledgeable. Enchanted Gardens has become my go-to garden center. I was impressed with the wide selection of plants and knowledgeable staff, and even more so with how nice and helpful the staff are. The garden has a beautiful layout with well-maintained displays showcasing a variety of flowers, succulents, shrubs, herbs, pottery, and trees. I've visited this garden a few times now and each time, the staff members have been incredibly friendly and eager to assist with any questions I may have. They've even helped bring my fruit trees out to my car. The service here is excellent, and they seem to have almost everything I need. So far, I've purchased two Sugar Cane Jujube trees, a cherry tree, a purple and red pepper plant, a few Jade plants, and some flowers to enhance my garden. If you haven't visited Enchanted Gardens, you should definitely add it to your agenda. The fun seasonal decorations are worth the trip alone, and they're perfect for taking pictures. read more

This was such a beautiful nursery. I came when it was really rainy and there was still so many people shopping. The staff were so kind and knowledgeable. Took off one star because I feel like some of the plants were not the best condition. My coneflower died within a couple of days. I think the outdoor plants are a decent value. The indoor plants are a bit pricy. Plenty of parking overall. I rushed through shopping but I want to come back when it's not raining because there's definitely more to explore. read more

We stopped by here in passing to see the plants that had available. It was so peaceful, organized, and they had such a variety of plants. Everything was well labeled, all of there varieties were in bloom and healthy. They had a section for perennials, fruit trees, butterfly plants, lots of garden decor, herbs, a whole section of roses, and a cute gift shop. There's also a cute little Coffee Stand, Hunter Beans and they have a selection of iced/hot coffee, tea, and baked goods. I also saw a snow cone stand as well which is a great when you have kids in tow. I didn't purchase any plants but I want to return to purchase some to have an herb garden or for plants for hummingbirds and butterflies in my small yard. Super Rude Staff! My family visited there and while we enjoyed the beauty of the place, the staff was super rude to my family. One staffer was caustic with my children when they had the audacity to try to gently pet the resident cat. God forbid you bring your children with you to run an errand. Yet again, another mesmerizing find in the books! I think I have found every garden imaginable around the Houston area. This gem is on top of the list of favorites. We stopped here on the way to Rosenburg's holiday festival and tree lighting. Perfect day and pretty spectacular timing to see all of the Xmas trees out and Xmas decorations. We looked around every nook and cranny in this place. I didn't want to leave! I bought an air plant, house plant and a couple of bulb plants. Great place to get plants or anything for the nursery. They do have a little shop for gifts as well. They have a lot of outdoor varieties and indoor plants. The staff is super nice and helpful. We've came here frequently through the different seasons to change up our flowers and all their plants are just healthy and pretty! They have seasonal events through the year (ie: halloween/Christmas events) to take pictures with backdrops - fun times! They'll also have some food/drink trucks as well (coffee, taco, shaved ice). For years we went to Houston Garden Centers - although we did eventually find what we were looking for, the variety and quality were questionable at times. A friend of ours recommended us to come to Enchanted Gardens especially since it was close to where we live at now. The area was bigger than any Houston Garden Center and the variety of plants, shrubs, and other items were great in number and quality. Parking was not a issue for us and the place was packed full of people. There were also animals around you can look at. It felt like you were at a mini farm. I absolutely love this nursery!! Prior to finally deciding to stop by and taking a looksey...I passed this place several times when I would travel out of town. It always caught my eye. Well I finally took time to stop in and I am so glad I did. They have a huge selection of plants! From fruit trees, tropical trees, flowers, herbs, houseplants and succulents. All of their plants looked so healthy and the prices are reasonable. They also have a chicken coop, fish ponds, and goats to entertain the kids. Why oh why have I been going to Houston Garden Center, Lowes and Home Depot for all of these years!?!?! This place is not only a beautiful place to just walk through, the service and selection is unmatched. I mean, not even close! And their staff are extremely helpful! They have lots of staff walking around ready to help with whatever. They have beautiful potted arrangements to give you creative ideas. I will never go to the other places again for plants! In addition to the plans to beautify our landscaping and back patio, we got blackberry bushes and fig trees and we are loving them! Since finding this place this month I've been there three times!! Went to buy fruit trees for our yard and spoke with the owner. He was a wealth of information and guided us in our selection. We now have a peach, 2 pears, a 4in1 apple and a fruit salad (different stone fruits) tree. We have also purchased 2 little miss figgy and a LSU green fig. The figs trees are great producers. Service??? We arrived at 3:39 Sunday after going to church changing and then arriving ready to shop within 5 minutes we were told to hurry up they close at 4pm. Within 10 minutes from the last notice from an employee they begin ringing a large bell and we are told they are closing, with 2/3 minutes from then someone points out short lines at the register and we should make our way out, with a few minutes from then we are asked to again to leave. We make our way to the register while my wife rushes to shop and we leave after making a $32 dollar purchase. Hey I get it, you close at 4pm on Sunday kinda of a weird time maybe just don't open, maybe open at 12noon and close at 6pm. We went to Lowe's and spent $471 dollars and then placed an order at Franks for another $350. We just purchased our home and we are completely redoing the front and back yard, but we will not be coming back. In prior years we spent on average about $3500 to $4000 a year on the yards. We plan on retiring here. Over the course of 20 years you will miss $80,000 due to rudely rushing people away. Mind you we had possibly two people pushing us out, there is a way to get people out by closing time it's called "customer service", you're in the service business. If pushing me out the door instead of helping me to make my purchase is more important to you, maybe you just need a garden without customers getting in the way? read more

Love, love this place! They have expanded it to more plants and more to see. Its charming decorated grounds are a joy to walk through. Laid out smartly with divided areas such as shrubs, flowers, cactus, herbs, vegetables and trees. Personnel are always walking around if you need help. They are friendly and always say hello. They have a nice koi pond under a huge shaded tree. Fairy gardens are adorable. Lots of pots and decorative iron ware available. Even have a butterfly garden that is right now hatching out beautiful Monarch butterflies. You can even purchase a butterfly bush or plant for the caterpillar to eat and hatch from. They have special events from time to time. Like in spring and fall with pumpkins everywhere. This is a place for all ages, young and old. Come see! You won't be disappointed. Enjoy! read more

Well, I was excited as I pulled into the parking lot because the place looked big and beautiful. But wow, that excitement sure waned quickly as I walked in. Multiple employees saw me and didn't greet me at all, just acted like I wasn't there. I walked around for maybe 45 minutes, and only 1 employee said "hello ma'am", that's it. So much for southern hospitality. I'm from Boston, where we aren't known for our kindness, but damn this place made Boston customer service look like Disneyworld. It was painful. As for inventory, honestly the diversity wasn't great. Yeah they had a lot of stuff, but it wasn't a lot of different plants. It was just a lot of strategically placed plants all of the same kinds in different parts of the store/grounds, which made it LOOK like it had plenty of plants of multiple kinds. No one was manning the gift shop inside... it was weird. Overall, the vibe was really off. The employees were uncaring and not friendly at all. It ruined the entire experience for me. And I did not see one single cat. How upsetting. Also, not to the "fault" of the establishment, but I did also note that the clientele who were there today also seemed very rude. So I don't know if that vibe fed into the experience, but please know that for a Bostonian like me to be taken aback by rudeness, it's gotta be pretty damn bad. read more

We have driven by this place countless times on trips from Katy to south Texas to visit family for the past 20 years but never stopped. That was an error on my part. We made a special trip this morning just to visit and we were very pleased with this nursery! To start, the lobster food truck was a surprise.. also the landscaping and building structures are unique and entertaining. It makes your business so much more interesting! Tucked away in delightfully decorated spots are healthy and vigorous brightly colored plants and flowers of all sizes and price ranges. I hadn't seen a desert rose plant before today. Beautiful!
