    Plants

Since early this year, I have started a small collection of plants and bonsai. I was directed here looking for a Calamansi/Calamondin plant to keep in our backyard. I had a fantastic experience at this nursery! I was on the hunt for a calamondin plant with fruits, and a kind Vietnamese gentleman went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I needed. The nursery is well-organized, with a wonderful selection of plants. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and the service I received. Highly recommend this gem for any gardening enthusiasts!

I love it here! Went on a Monday was not crowded parking was easy got my coconut palm beautiful plants!

First time in this place. It has a great selection or plants and good prices! Definitely going back for more!

They have great selection of plants !! I would totally recommend this nursery. If you're a succulent lover, this is the place.

Super pretty! Wide selection of plants, although not extremely rare. Prices are written on the boards but you may need to look a little closer on the sides for exact prices of each plant.

I wish I lived in Houston so I could buy lots of plants. They are well stocked but not too organized. The aisles are muddy in some places But the people are very nice

We didn't know JRN Nursery existed until a friend told us about it the night before. He's an avid collector of Dessert Roses and I asked him where he purchased them. I was informed that local family owned nurseries had more of a selection in variety so we decided to come see for ourselves! Drove out on a Sunday and it was packed! Yes, the parking lot is a bit small and I can see there's no real overflow parking area, but we managed. The nursery is fairly large, with two whole sections dedicated to fruit trees! I've never seen such an expansive selection of exotic tropical fruits - everything from soursops to guavas and everything in between. We were impressed not only by the selection but by how healthy and well maintained the trees were! The grapefruit trees and some of the other fruit trees already had fruit at a young age! If you're looking for one, why not get it here and get a few years worth of a head start?! There were fruits, vegetables, flowers, bonsais, water plants.. you name it, they must have it! There wasn't anything we were looking for that they didn't have. The owners were busy but knew the store like the back of their hands.. I asked for a specific plant and she directed me to their exact location onsite. There were lots of each type of plant to choose from! I was super impressed by the bonsai room - you can tell these guys were maintained for a long long time! I can see how people would think the owners were rude, but I didn't think so. They were just busy and not overly friendly; which suited me fine cause I don't like people breathing down my back while I'm trying to browse anyways. The pricing could be a bit unclear at times, which makes discrepancies at checkout. You can ask someone outside for a price and the people inside would say something else. I don't think they're trying to cheat anyone, but it would definitely be helpful if everyone was on the same page and the signs were marked clearer. I.e. the 6" Dessert Rose plants were $8.99 but when they rang me up, they were $19.99 each, which was the price for the 1 gallon and my pot definitely wasn't 1 gallon (maybe 2 quarts). But she said it has two different buds/branches for flowers so it was $19.99. There was another sign saying 2 branches were that price but with the smaller pot size, it was really unclear. Maybe tagging all the plants with price tags would make this more obvious for all people involved. We enjoyed ourselves and spent some time browsing here! Would definitely come back next time we're in the market for some trees or plants!

    My favorite nursery!

Poor customer's service. Pricing is not consistent with labels or no labels at all and they would charge whatever at the front desk.

Plus once I saw they were dog friendly I was more than happy to add this to my weekend errand list since she could tag along. We were greeted as we walked in and asked if we needed help. We weren't looking super hard for anything in particular but did mention I'd like to find butterfly pea, but it wasnt something they had. Not surprising and didn't affect the overall experience. Jared is who came over and helped us and explained a bit about how they care for their plants and what services they offer. And even took down my number in the case he hears about how to get that plant. Told us they hold events there, so I'll have to look into it! I did really like how they had a dedicated room for indoor plants, not alot of places have that. I ended up getting a peace lily for $10 and shes still looking great 2 weeks later. We were also given a jug of their moon juice which we've just started using for most of our plants, excited to see if it does really help out. I wasnt quite sure if theyd be OK with my dog being brought into the indoor plant area or the office area where you go to pay but they held the door open for her and gave her her space. So it set a really good impression. This place is definitely where I'd go if I had my own property and want working with a blank/empty space. Compared to other nurseries you'll find much bigger plants/trees here.
