Great service and hospitality. Abraham Simmons made sure we didn't get lost in 7 acres of plantation. A great variety of plants - rather difficult to choose. Yet we got recommendations and git our plants.​ Edit: Planting fees which we thought were included as was the impression given, were astronomically high to the point that I wanted to buy none of it. Mind you delivery fee is $250 which should have included planting fees. They said at checkout that planting is only included with delivery for large trees. Had that been spelt out, we wouldn't have spent over an hour there. Whatever the discount given wasn't enough because none of it will be planted. Would have appreciated had they atleast agreed to included planting the 3 15 gallon plants/ small trees. Update after Winter Freeze - A Costly Mistake WARNING: Do Not Purchase from Moon Valley Nurseries I purchased 16 trees from Moon Valley last year, spending over $4,000. Before picking them up, my landscaper cautioned me that the trees would not survive a freeze. I reached out to Brad at Moon Valley, and he confidently assured me that the trees were freeze-tolerant. I followed all of Brad's instructions--covering the trees during cold weather and applying Moon Juice--but after the December freeze, the trees began to decline rapidly. When I contacted Brad again, his solution was to sell me more products totaling $1,600, even though I had just spent thousands. It felt like another sales pitch instead of real help. After the additional freeze in January 2025, the trees deteriorated even further and eventually died. Moon Valley's response? They blamed my landscaper and refused any responsibility because they hadn't planted the trees themselves. Even if they had, the planting would only have come with a 90-day guarantee--far too short for a product like this. This experience was extremely disappointing. The company seemed more interested in making a sale than standing by their product. I regret not listening to my landscaper and trusting a company that over-promised and under-delivered. Their customer service was great during the sale, but nonexistent when the problems began. Save yourself the frustration and money--shop at a nursery that truly backs their products. read more

Poor customers services. Redbud purchased and planted by them using wooden tree stacks. They rotted after two years. Broke and tree was leaning over. Re-staking would cost more than tree was initially bought for. Was told that wooden stake should be removed after 1 year to prevent rotting. If tree needed re-staking, it would costs over $300. I said that this is unacceptable, if I have to re-stake evert year. Went to Home Depot and purchased metal stakes and did work myself for about $50. Will never use Moon again. I called the sugar land location and spoke with Chris. Enquired about the availability of black mission fig and was told that they have this in three sizes. They confirmed that they have one for $199. My landscape person who was there was told just a few minutes later that that do not have that size, only the much larger size. When I called back, 'chris' told me they do not have the 199 size and when I asked him why he had told me less than 10 minutes earlier that they have them he denied speaking with me ! I can understand if he had said that he had made a mistake but total denial of a conversation? Moon Nurseries: surely you can do better. read more
