Huge selection. I come here just to walk around smell and look at everything. I heard about this place because someone said they give back to their community so I wanted to support local business. Everything purchased from them has taken just fine in our garden. Lots of workers walking around to help. If they don't know where it is they go find out and come hunt you down to tell you. Terrible service...!!!!!! I bought two big rocks that I couldn't turn over, so I hoped to pay them more money to remove the wooden board. I didn't want the wooden board that was under the big rocks, but they refused very coldly. They just threw the wooden board and rocks on the ground and left. I read the reviews before I wrote this because my experience just was not good. I was at this nursery on a Monday at 12 and it was not crowed. I wandered and wandered looking and looking for the plants I was interested in and although there was lots of staff around all of them where very busy watering and moving plants on and off of shelves and when I walked towards them they either walked away or avoided eye contact. Years ago before Richmond got developed my in-laws used to take us as a family to Franks to get live Christmas trees and it was a family event, now staff avoids customers wandering through the muddy walk ways of the nursery clearly looking for plants. With other options in the area now, I won't be returning to Franks again. read more

Pleasant place but no prices marked. No customer service to ask but a gentleman did write up a ticket and load the the car for us. it almost felt like he was watching to make sure we didnt steal the plants. Cashier was a very nice guy but didn't notice they added cc fee on top of the high prices. read more

Got there at 5:20. Just needed 1 rose bush. Waited and waited for help. Finally,I attempted to ask one of the workers a question and they responded with "Sorry, we close at 5:30. Will NEVER give any of my business for sure in the future. Not helpful at all. On a side note, it was meant to be... the roses looked horrible. Not just terrible service...it is called no service! Ordered mulch....never showed up...when called to find out if they were delivering it was put on hold forever. Go to the nursery to buy plants....it is definitely self serve and you get charged an extra 3% for using a debit/credit card! read more

Bought our real flocked tree there and was very pleased with pricing and selection. Only place in Fort Bend county that I could find.

I give Frank's Nursery a rating of one, purely for ease of finding it. Otherwise, it was a waste of time. Most things are not price marked, let alone marked by plant name. We stayed there walking around for at least thirty minutes while many workers walked around and not one greeted us or offered to help us. We even tried to flag down some workers, and they turned and walked away. This was on a Saturday morning at least after 10:00AM when a nursery would be open for business. I think we might have even walked through some parts of greenhouses that we weren't suppose to be in, but nothing was marked well. We finally gave up and went to Enchanted Gardens where it was PACKED AND BUSY, but still were able to get help everywhere we turned. If you want quality plants and exemplary service, skip Frank's and continue on to Enchanted Gardens. read more

I use Frank's for bulk sand and crushed granite relatively often; their delivery rates are fair and the drivers have been willing to dump the loads wherever I point out. We also bought a pallet of sandstone for walkway paving and it has worked well. I can't judge the plants, but the service has always been polite and professional. read more

I have been going to Frank's Nursery for several years and have had consistent good experiences. I previously used to purchase my soils and amendments from Living Earth but found Frank's to be of good quality, less expensive or competitively priced, delivered as schedule with no hassles.. Pricing signage is a weakness, due to multiple display locations. My experience is employees are well versed in prices and if they are unsure they go to the register for pricing. read more

Bait and switch. Bad customer service. Went to get a Star Jasmine, was pointed to the back by a worker. I found a single plant with a price tag on it. On the way up an older Hispanic lady stopped me and asked if I really wanted that plant. I said yes, she said it would be $49, I told her the price on it was $21. She said she could do it for $39. I had Frank's nursery do landscaping work for me in 2013, to the tune of over $4,000. Most of the plants he chose were frost-sensitive and despite covering, about one-third of the "perennials" were severely frost-bitten, so I called him back for replacement and spruce-up in 2014. His workers were supposed to cut back the frost-bitten plants and supplement with flowering annuals. Instead they pulled them up. When I called Frank and informed him of this, he said they had cut them down to the ground and covered them with mulch, but they would come back. That is not the case - they are gone. Frank gives oral instructions to his team f workers, then leaves. They don't always execute correctly. I managed to retrieve my Australian violets that they incorrectly dug up, but they mislaid some rocks and I had to haul 50 lbs. of rock halfway across the yard to fix that problem. If you use Frank's for landscaping, be aware that you may not get exactly what you order. He substituted dianthus for vinca when vinca was not available, but I'm not going to get the same performance as far as summer color from the dianthus. read more

My post is similar to others. My mother went in wanting to buy rock and of course couldn't find any help. No problem - She loaded up a couple hundred pounds of rock and weighed it herself. Finally, a guy on a tractor jumped down and told her the scale wasn't right and deducted the overage. She hauled the rocks up to the counter but by this time was pretty winded. There was a boy and girl just standing around talking. She then asks for someone to help her load the rocks in her truck. The boy at the counter told her the man on the tractor could help her take them out. Basically, she needed to go back out and find him to help her. I understand they probably can't leave their register unattended, but there were two people at the register and not one of them could put in any work to help her at all. read more

I never had a problem like the other people here. I used it more for getting bulk supplies for jobs like a coupe yards of dirt and mulch and stones. I guess I knew what I needed but they didn't seem to be as bad as the other guys on here are saying. I used Frank for 5 years back in my lawn service days in the early to mid 2000's. read more

I spent several thousand dollars having my yard landscaped by Frank's. It looked beautiful when they finished. However, within two days several of the plants had died. I called Frank to inquire as to whether there was any sort of guarantee on the plants. In fact I called FOUR TIMES and left word for Frank to call me. He never did nor did anyone else. About 7+ weeks have passed and now I see that waaaay too much has been planted in my yard. The plants have grown up and are crowding each other. Any one with experience would have known this would happen. Apparently Frank's is just interested in selling you as much as they possibly can giving no thought to growth, etc. I will never use them again. It has been a great disappointment to me. I have been to many nurseries and I love this one. I did not have any problems with service. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They have a large selection of plants, fountains and healthy herbs. I read the past reviews after visiting the nursery. I am the type of person who believes if you come in with a positive attitude people are very helpful and will go beyond the call of duty. If you come in with a chip on your shoulder you should be treated exactly the way you act. Workers at these business are human. When looking at reviewer who rate places low.
