If I lived closer, this would be my go to spot for tools, parts, and gardening supplies. What I like about this place is that the staff is very willing to help you find what you need. I was asked probably 2-3 times if I needed help while was browsing around in just one visit. Perhaps it's my natural clueless facial expression, but I felt like I was cared for unlike some of my experiences shopping at Home Depot and Lowe's (though I still love shopping at HD). I was pleasantly surprised that day. In comparison, this Ace Hardware is like the Chick-Fil-A of hardware stores. I did have a bad experience with their online service support though. I ordered a tool chest that was on sale but when I picked it up and opened it at home, it was pretty damaged. I got no reply on the email so I ended up having to drive back and return it. It was disappointing, but tis' life.

I guess pecan Grove has become a war zone? A few days later, Rambo is in the store glaring at customers? Just makes it damn uncomfortable. I complained to the woman who manages this location. I'm guessing she's an owner? She has no issue with Rambo, staring down customers in full tactical. I'm all in favor of carrying a side arm, but in the right environment. I don't know in the last 30 years when any establishment on 359 has ever been held up at gunpoint. Not to mention they are right next-door to the fire department EMS, and we constantly have constables and sheriffs officers riding along 359. The price is here on average are 25 to 30% higher on average. I hear there's another strip center being built on 359. Maybe they will put a great alternative as opposed to the ace or true value we currently have.

The only reason why they are getting 4 stars is because they never have workers available. The workers that are here they are usually on their phone, or chitchatting somewhere all the way in the back by the wood or back aisles to avoid actual customers.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had at Lowe's. The garden manager (…read moreChristian Ethan Gallardo ) was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Every time I tried to explain my concern, he repeatedly told me he "didn't care" about what I had to say and refused to help me in any way. As a customer, I expect to be treated with basic respect, even if an issue can't be resolved immediately. Instead, I felt dismissed, ignored, and completely disrespected. A manager should be setting an example for their team, not treating customers this way. I hope Lowe's addresses this type of behavior because no customer should have to deal with such poor service. Based on this experience, I will think twice before shopping at this location again.

We shop often at Home Depot in Indianapolis and find their selection above average. This Home Depot…read morehas the standard Home Depot layout and carries items most home centers carry. We were pleasantly surprised at the decent amount of lumber in stock considering it was only a week out from Hurricane Harvey. During the multiple visits we made in a week we notice new shipments arriving daily. Hats off for quick response time. However, we were disappointed when we ask three different employees where several basic things were and even after looking on their computers couldn't tell us. So off we went in search and found, and loaded, before the employee came back to find us. I do have to say the one gentleman didn't just give up and followed through. On most any given day, the majority of the employees we've encountered are very knowledgeable about their departments, especially the paint department. I find the store is convenient to my Mother's home, the items we've purchased has been quality items and I love wandering around home improvement stores getting ideas for future projects.

The problem came when it was time to check out. The guy on the first register from the checkout line to the left around 1:45pm on December 24, 2024 is the reason I am leaving this review. My mom and I were next in line to checkout and the other registers were occupied by other customers alsobchecking out. When the young cashier guy finished ringing up his customer instead of checking us out next, he walks off and pretends to busy himself with something which was very obvious he didn't want to ring up anyone BUT when the next register opened up and my mom and I walked to the next cashier he immediately went back to his register to take the next customer behind us. At that moment it was extremely clear he didn't not want to ring us up for whatever reason but that was extremely rude! I don't want to say race was a part of it but I can't think of any other reason he choose to intentionally not ring us up when we had the same amount of items the customer he helped before and after us had. This really messed up our first time experience at Ollies. The cashier lady to the right side we ended up going to was very nice and signed my mom up for the Ollies Army rewards. After we left I called and spoke to the manager, I think his name is Mike or Michael. I explained what just took place and he was very nice and said he will run the cameras back and also notify upper management. We appreciate him for hearing our concern and not dismissing us. Hopefully the cashier takes a customer service course or finds a new job where he free to be rude else where. This was very upsetting to be treated the way we were and it being obvious in plain sight. Hopefully a real consequence for the young boy comes out of it.
