I don't write reviews so if I do it's because you should enjoy your lunch or dinner elsewhere. We showed up for lunch and they asked us if we wanted to be seated 10 min later after standing at the door but the wait would be 30-45 min. There were two "reserved tables" that were unavailable but after 25 min of standing at the door they finally sat us down. Food was bland, service was awful and the waitress run around like a chicken with no head. I literally laughed at the other review where someone said a patron told them to sit down wherever they wanted because that is exactly what happened to us. I won't go on because I would hate to bash a restaurant trying to make it especially at this time with Covid but to the owner please please sit and watch your restaurant or have someone go undercover to see how you can do better. I wish you the best but you guys need work. Their staff!! Awfully rude people!! Hostess, manager, etc. We walk in and ready to spend some big money as we are bar hopping - Sunday Funday. But the staff walks us back to the front door cause we "missed" the hostess. Well the damn hostess MISSED us!! She stood there like an idiot and saw 4 people walk in n didn't do her job to greet us and seat us. It's sad that 2 of us are regulars there and today we were brining MORE customers to spend money in their establishment but get treated like shit! One of my favorite spots. Nice patio area. We were sad when The original Maks closed so we tried them out when they first opened; only to find out they used to be the owners of Maks. I go often for breakfast/brunch and dinner. Great drinks and food. My favorite is the mimosas and mimosa flights, shrimp plate, steaks (Wednesday whiskey and steak night), fish and shrimp are awesome, Boudain balls, wings...the list goes on. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Love it here. Only had one bad experience on Sunday while trying to catch the Texans game, but that's about it. I invited my family to watch the game as they advertise Football Sunday, but had golf on the speakers. Pretty annoying as you don't need sound to enjoy golf. All in all I go at least once a week and enjoy all of their daily specials. Try it out! read more

Excellent food. Everything is hot and fresh. They know what people like and how to satisfy. Walking in you don't know what to expect from the outside. Inside it's a bar atmosphere with plenty of dining tables and a nice layout. My son's corn dogs were the best he's had and I had the Mitch - which I recommend highly. My wife had the chicken died chicken and it was all cooked by skilled folks in the back. Service was top notch - our waiter was attentive and kind. Will be back on our next visit. read more

Tried today during lunch. I'm originally from South Louisiana and my friend wanted to try this place. I know I am baised so I'm rating this based upon the quality not whether or not authentic Cajun. The good: Boudin balls probably the best I've had in this area. Funnel fries were very good also. The bad: Seafood platter It came with shrimp, catfish and crabcake. I substitute onion rings for the dirty rice. The fish was pure mush the texture was horrible. The shrimp were ok. The crab cake was a joke. It was flat with no seasoning. It was made up of cheap quality meat and tons of filling. Only decent thing on the plate was the onion rings which I would recommend. The staff was nice and friendly. This was our first and last experience here. This place is good for those only interested in sports and not service or food quality. I asked for water and a no salt Bloody Mary. I received no water and a salted Bloody Mary. There was a hair on the olive, which I quietly removed, as I didn't want to cause a stink or a commotion. Plus, I still wanted desperately to give this place a chance. My husband would have completely freaked and we would have left. The gumbo was tasty but way too salty. My my shrimp cocktail was the saving grace.The shrimp were fresh and delicious. I had to ask for crackers, though, and the servers didn't think to bring me a mini plate for the shrimp tails. Additionally, while we there, we saw another family have to ask for both butter and jelly for their breakfast items. I mean, who doesn't think to bring butter for a waffle? The management is obviously poor as their main server failed terribly. Our 2nd server did ok. The hair on the Bloody Mary, the salt on the rim (when I asked for no salt), the lack of water, the lack of a place for my shrimp tails give this place a 2. If you are in the mood for a burger...in my opinion, they have some of the best and you can make it your way. Man oh man... I wanted this experience to be better, given the somewhat positive reviews here and in general (never mind it's a supposed "cajun/creole" establishment), but I guess I should've read further. Besides, I'm always on the hunt for a little taste of back home to be my go-to when I can find it... I'm still hunting, but I digress... We walked in expecting a family friendly establishment (based on reviews) and what we got was a crowded sports bar with absolutely NO social distancing. If the vibe were any indication - my family were definitely the oddballs out. It almost seemed as if everyone in the building knew each other and were having a get together and we were interrupting the vibe. Needless to say, we stood at the door for some time before we were seated. A patron (that's what I assume given he was drinking a beer and watching the TV from a table near the door) actually told us to seat ourselves before a waitress came to assist us. He told us you just go and sit down, even though there's a sign at the door that says "Please wait to be seated." For the cost (our bill was close to $70), I really expected more. Overall, the food was presented well - it was plated nicely - but it pretty much ended there. The pasta I ordered was really bland. Creamy, but absolutely zero flavor and the shrimp were a bit overcooked with some shells still on. I'm pretty funny about seafood, so at least it was overcooked (I can deal with that) and not undercooked (a big no-no!). The gumbo however, left a lot to be said - the rice came out crunchy and weird tasting, so it quickly got sent back to the kitchen. Did I mention there was potato salad included with the gumbo?? That's a new one for me. Lastly, the boudin balls were large. I was impressed that they were cooked all the way given the size, but they were and they weren't bad - not the best, but definitely not the worst! Decent flavor and a bit of a kick, which is good. The sauce however (I'm guessing it's supposed to be a take on remoulade??), was not tasty at all. It was a watery version of thousand island in my opinion. Bleh. On a positive note - one of my kids ordered a cheese quesadilla and it was flavorful! Overall, not sure we'll return - I'm on the fence. Knowing now that it's more of a sports bar/hangout and not a "family restaurant," I get it - duly noted. We come quite often it's close home . We have had many items on the menu. The burgers are delicious. They have steak night on Wednesdays it comes with salad and baked potato . My husband has gotten the pasta dish with shrimp and loves it . They are definitely known for their Cajun style food. If you like crawfish then you definitely want to give them a try. Omgness the food here is phenomenal. Had breakfast with my son and when I say the pancakes were as fluffy as described...Hunny the pancakes ARE FLUFFY! My son had his favorite "Breakfast Sandwich" and all is right in the world. Restaurant is a clean, open space spot with plenty of social distancing. Took forever to get seated. 2 parties after us got seated before us bc they were friends with the bartender/manager. Whatever he is. So the food was AMAZING. The service was trash. We got our food then didn't see our server till we were done. We wanted refills and another beer. Got neither. On top of all that we got the kids food last. How ironic right? Came here breakfast this morning. Arrived around 10am and not too many people here, which was good because we didn't want a super crowded place due to COVID. Good breakfast selection, parents both ordered the breakfast platter which came out really good. I got the 2 breakfast tacos. My bacon, egg and cheese taco was really good, lots of bacon. The chorizo, egg and cheese taco was probably the best I've ever had! Decent coffee with prompt refills. My mother-in-law had read an article about this new restaurant's grand opening, so we decided to give it a try....I'm actually proud of her for making such a good choice! We were thoroughly impressed with each dish we ordered. The restaurant opens at 7am and serves breakfast until 11am and then lunch and dinner until 10pm. We ordered the crawfish etouffee, fried shrimp plate, Cajun shrimp breakfast plate, and a brisket sandwich. They were all flavorful and delicious, but the breakfast plate stole the show. The fried shrimp were perfectly fried I appreciated that they had already removed the tails. It came with fries, coleslaw, and hush puppies, which I wasn't able to finish and had to take home. The service was exceptional considering it was their grand opening. You usually expect kinks, but they didn't have any we were aware of. It didn't take long for the food to come out and they were on top of refilling our drinks and even brought us to-go teas. They also have a decent sized bar with quite a few beers on tap. Tuesday's are $3.99 crawfish and $2.99 Shiners! That would almost be enough on its own, but the crawfish are also large and perfectly seasoned! My family and I have visited at least five times and have never been disappointed in the food. The beer is cold, the patio is fun, the lovely waitresses all wear masks, everything is clean and the food is always hot. Other menu items of note are the crab cakes, and any of their pasta dishes. read more

I have to say one of the best Seafood Dinners I have had in a long time. Went on 7/23 with my parents and everything we had was fabulous.
