Don't know if I'll be back: hostess was terrible - no greeting / smile, seemed like we were bothering her by walking in; asked her to clean table and it was such a chore and as she wiped, she pushed the crumbs on us; when she brought us plates, one was dirty - asked for another, again we were bothering her, and she brought back the same dirty plate with the same dirt, gave it back to her and she never returned with a clean plate. Went there Sunday morning. Stood at the "please wait to be seated sign" for 29 minutes. Waiters and waitresses passed us by and said nothing. Couple in front of us left after getting tired of waiting. Worst part - they had 4 large tables completely open with reserved signs on them. Someone left the bar which opened up two spots. Crawfish was good. Chips and salsa was fresh and good. Our waitress was nice. Overall a good experience. The only reason I didn't give it 5 is because they do not enforce masks. Even some of the waitress had their masks pulled down. The bartender took her mask off with a crowded bar. read more

Weird experience when I took my family to eat last night. After spending $122, we were told if we wanted lemons they would charge us by the slice. After spending that much money, I thought it was weird they would nickel and dime us for something as simple as a lemon. We thought maybe there was a mix up and asked the manager and he explained yes if you want lemons they'll be 25 cents per slice. A restaurant shouldn't charge extra for something that enhances the fish or drinks. read more

They know what they're doing and what they're talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Walk in and atleast five tables have reserved signs on them at 10:00 in the morning. Guests waiting to be seated, but reserved tables that are not being used are not offered up. Food okay but got charged $2.00 for sliced lemons and $.89 for pickles. With price increases on the menu, condiments should be included. A few of the wait staff are friendly and attentive, while the others need to return to "waitressing 101". read more

I love their crawfish special, but it is dine in only for $5.99/lb. I'm not sure what patrons took advantage of the to go orders at that price, but quite disheartening that everyone else has to dine in now to get that special. Consider this, I usually order to go at another business for $7.99/lb., but I like Cormier's better knowing that they are from Louisiana and know how to actually cook crawfish. So, Cormier's might want to rethink the to go order policy in the future. It's ridiculous that if a person can't finish 4lbs while dining in can't take the leftovers home (as the server swoops down and picks ups everything - tray and all)! read more

The Tuesday evening manager was very rude and unprofessional. My friend and I were sitting outside eating. It started to rain so I asked for a to go box. The manager came over to my table and in a ridiculously loud, rude voice said, "no to go boxes for crawfish. If it rains, you just have to leave your food here!" I asked her why was she yelling, she said she's the manager and she wanted everyone to hear her! She was so rude, un befitting of a manager. Will never go back! read more

The food was great. I had the boudin balls and the gumbo, and both were amazing. One of the best and most authentic gumbos I've had in Texas. Definitely worth coming back for. The server was also very nice and attentive. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be coming back. The hostess walked me past an empty booth, two empty bar height 4-tops, and five empty 4-tops to sit me in the back against the wall by the entrance to the toilets. When the restaurant is slammed and you get that table, you consider yourself lucky that you got the last available table. When there are only five tables with customers sat and you get that table, it's disappointing. When you are an amputee who is accustomed to being shuffled off to the back of restaurants, it's an insult. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but it's happened enough times at enough different places for me to recognize what's happening. I knew when we rounded the corner and I noticed that table against the back wall exactly where we were headed, and I wasn't wrong. You'd actually be amazed how many times the guy with one leg is walked all the way to the furthest table with the least amount of room to maneuver. I wish it was an isolated event, but it's not even the first time this week that it's happened. I'm leaving a 5 star review because the food is really good (actually, the gumbo is absolutely amazing!) and I don't want to ding your star rating because of this experience. Sorry that your restaurant is the one getting this review. As I mentioned, you aren't even the first restaurant this week to do the exact same thing. Again, I don't think it is being done on purpose and is probably just subconscious bias. But I've just reached the point where I've become so offended by the slight (and the frequency that it occurs) that I'm no longer going to patronize any place that does it to me again. Try the gumbo. My husband and I came here as a recommendation of a friend. This place did not disappoint! Being a south Louisiana girl I was skeptical of ordering the boudin. I literally asked the waitress if it was really from Louisiana. It's good, seasoned well and moist. We loved DJ FIRE, made me feel like I was at home. He played a great zydeco mix!! There was a big bug in my crawfish I was told that I needed to still pay for them because I ate most. The bug was basically under the crawfish, And they said and I quote "crawfish are supposed to have bugs I mean it's crawfish" Staff rude owner is rude and ignorant. Please do not place the dessert on a table full of dinner dishes. You'd think you having to push the dirty disses to the side with the dessert plate would not be the first indication the table needed to be cleared. Me having to then ask you to clear the table is unacceptable. And then to not take it all or provide clean plates for said dessert. read more

RatIng is based strictly on the crawfish which has brought us back twice and has had me sending people down the road to check them out. The service on the other hand seriously lacked. Back to the food..... crawish are great sized, perfectly seasoned, and competitively priced. Only tried it once as take-our but once was more than enough. Although it was busy when we picked up our food it was so very disappointing I didn't finish mine. Gumbo tells you a lot about Cajun food attempts and their roux was burnt! The fried entree was bland while the blackened was over-salted. The hush puppies and dirty rice were well below par. I was so excited to visit this place because it is close to home and I wanted some gumbo this particular day. My daughter and I went on the Grand Opening day so we expected some wait time to get in and to be served. There was no line to get in and we were promptly seated by a gentleman at the door. (The restaurant at that point was less than half full). It took 10 minutes for someone to come to the table and ask for a drink order. We, at that point, had no menus. We ordered water. Then we were given menus. Another 10 minutes went by and our water came and we placed our orders. I asked for sweet tea and they didn't have any, "It's our first day. We're working on it". They didn't have sweet tea but did have regular tea which I wasn't offered. We did not see our waitress again until she saw me look at her because 2 people who arrived about 10 minutes after we did, received their orders and were eating. She then said "Its our first day. I'm sorry". She then brought our food after we waited 30 additional minutes. I didn't take a picture of my daughter's plate but I have included a picture of my plate. It appears that the food was not plated well and there was a piece of lint in my food. I told the waitress, who took my plate and didn't ask if I wanted something else. Needless to say, I won't be back. My daughter's fried shrimp platter was good. read more

The only reason I gave this 1 star is because of the server, sherri. From the time we sat down we had 7 Dirty plates, glasses and even a bug in my beer. We ordered the kids pancake for my nephew and it came out as raw as a pancake can be, Dough everywhere. We asked to see a manager and we were told that a manager would be in at four. We asked who come out to change the tv channel earlier and we were told that that was the owner. But he is here drinking with his buddy, I guess he doesn't care about his customers being upset. Good food, but bad service. Our waitress, Elva didn't check on any tables and hung out in the back. The restaurant wasn't very busy and it appeared she only had 3 tables going when we arrived. We had to ask for everything. After the second time I asked her for water (she was visiting with a couple at another table for nearly 10 minutes) she brought me two and slammed them on the table. Heaven forbid she just check her tables a little more often. She didn't check on us again the rest of the meal. When she thought we were done, she just brought us the check and walked off. Didn't ask if we needed anything else. It's a shame because we had planned to hang out a while and watch the games on the TVs and would have ordered more drinks. The restaurant lost money because Elva was an inattentive waitress. We probably won't be back either, so even more of a loss for the restaurant. read more

My family stopped by for our first time this evening for dinner and we were very happy with this place. I ordered blackened catfish and shrimp and my wife did as well. The food was fresh and flavorful. My daughter had a burger and she enjoyed it. They had a wide selection of beers in tap. The hush puppies that came with the meal were awesome. Not good, just not good. The chicken and shrimp gumbo was cold and not flavorful, and although an "appetizer", it came with the rest of the food. My wife's crawfish etouffee had a hair in it and the hush puppies seemed as though the cooks did not reheat them long enough.
