After reading through the reviews, I can say that our experience was AWESOME. We arrived early, had a drink on the patio before our Mother's Day dinner with family. Our waitress there was a doll. Very knowledgeable, drinks were prompt and she made sure to check on us every time she walked by. The bar had a great atmosphere, and they had the fire going which made the seating area romantic. Once our reservation time came, we checked in and were immediately seated in the middle of the dining room. Perfect for enjoying the view of the greens. Our waiter ( I wish I had caught his name) was impeccable. Great with answering questions, taking drink orders, and had a very friendly, positive attitude. Drinks were, once again, very prompt, and our salads and appetizers were brought out quite fast. He also made sure my 4 yr old son's dinner (PB&J with mac and cheese that was THE BOMB) was brought out at the same time, which was great and very thoughtful of him since he wasn't asked to do so. Dinner was DELICIOUS. I had the lamb, cooked medium and it was divine. The rest of my party had the short ribs, salmon, seafood barrel, filet steak and shrimp and grits. All of us raved about our food. The presentation was wonderful, the tastes all complimented each other and it was brought out after our waiter cleared the table of the salad/app plates we'd accumulated, which was nice since juggling plates and a cluttered table is not cool lol. Dessert was wonderful also. I recommend the flourless chocolate cake. That sauce that comes with it is something from Heaven itself. Thankful I took our waiter's recommendation with that one! I came to this Yelp page expecting all stellar reviews after our dinner here on 5/11 for my birthday. My fiance and I decided to try something new in Temecula and had heard very good things from friends about Cork Fire. We were seated immediately (granted, it was a Monday night) and service was exceptional. My fiance and I noted several times during the meal that service was prompt, not overbearing or intrusive, and the staff was super knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. We were given our choice of seats and chose a table by the window overlooking the green. Aside from the winery restaurants, easily one of the best restaurant views in Temecula. The seating consisted of two sofas facing each other, which made it feel intimate and comfortable, like you were dining in your own living room. As for the food, we had 2 rounds of drinks (very good whiskey drinks), 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and 2 desserts (went all out!). I had the lamb, which was very flavorful and cooked perfectly, and my fiance had the duck over cheese risotto, which was delicious enough that I had to steal a few bites. The bread pudding was heaven and the creme brulee with pistachio was very good as well. The only dish that I didn't like was the pâté appetizer. Pretty surprised about this, because I am a pâté-aholic, but this one was bitter and unfortunately did not taste fresh. It didn't have the luscious texture or taste you'd expect. Based on previous reviews about the service, I'm guessing some changes have been made because our experience with regard to service was very, very good. I would go back for the red sangria alone. I had originally ordered the white because it was so hot out but the flavor was just off. I was nervous to send it back but the waitress gave me a knowing smile like, "I knew you'd like the red better" and didn't make it a big deal at all. A group of us went for what we hoped would be brunch on Saturday but they stop serving brunch at 11:30, so lunch it was. We sat out on the patio and the view was fantastic. We split the nachos, fig and prosciutto flatbread, calamari, and hamburger. Everything was pretty fantastic. Can't really figure out why it doesn't have stellar yelp reviews but regardless we will be back and hopefully this time for brunch! read more

I seriously love Cork | Fire Kitchen. We come here often for different life events and I even hosted an engagement party in their Quarry room. Alyssa was so great to work with and made sure everything went off without a hitch and that we had a beautiful party. The menu changes often, I'm not sure if seasonally or maybe just as locally sourced ingredients are available but that's awesome. The menu is small which I like because too many options is overwhelming. Sometimes a miss with the kitchen but they have always been more than happy to fix it or swap it out, in my experience. read more

This restaurant was beautiful and delicious. A hidden gem on a golf course in Temecula. It was beautifully decorated and had an amazing view of the golf course They start you off with a fresh load of bread on your table which is warm and delicious ( I had to practice major self control and only half one piece!)) We ordered a bunch of small plates for lunch instead of full entrees and they were unique tasty and filing. The Brussel sprouts were reza's favorite and I loved the chicken skewers. HITS: * easy enough to make a reservation * we were seated promptly and our server was very friendly * options for both the herbivore and carnivore in our group * the lavender mist cocktail was summer in a glass and really delicious! * crusty bread and butter sprinkled with rock salt were yum MISSES: * hummus delivered via room service was very sloppily served and the portion didn't match the price * a wrong drink was delivered to our table, unbeknownst to us - the bartender came over, asked if we'd ordered the tequila sunrise (we hadn't), picked it up...and just walked away with not another word. It seemed really rude as she could have explained the situation or apologized instead of just disappearing. * our server wasn't sure how the voucher system worked for the adjoining hotel. Not a huge deal, but staff should be aware of different promotions on offer and how to accommodate them. * an extra $20 was randomly added to our bill after we'd signed for it and had to be removed when we were checking out the next day Overall, our time at Cork Fire was enjoyable enough. I came here with a group of friends tonight and the experience could not have been any more wonderful! From the incredible service, to the delectable food and the homey yet elegant ambiance - Farmhouse Kitchen has easily won a second, third, and if we're being honest, fourth visit out of me ;) Upon stepping foot through the front door, we were instantly greeted by not only the hostess and the manager but also by the executive chef, Igor. They were very delightful and I instantly felt welcomed. The restaurant wasn't too busy but for a Tuesday night, I'd have to say the bar was pretty filled! We were seated and greeted by our awesome server right away. And within minutes we had our waters, bread and butter, and amazing pommes frittes especially presented to us by Chef de Cuisine Carlo. We also started off with an incredible combination of his appetizers. I was beginning to feel full but knew that I could make room the moment my main dish was served. I ordered the 1/2 chicken while my friends ordered the braised short ribs and the rib eye steak.... All of which we raved about at first to last bite! I was sure I was filled to the brim until we were presented with the dessert trio. How could I say no to a plate filled with sweet, tarte, and creamy goodness? The pastry chef Anita really hit a home run with the deconstructed Irish Car Bomb! Throughout our dinner, our server Shoshana, and the manager, Ryan made sure that my friends and I were comfortable and satisfied all of which we were plus very happy and extremely full! Horribly overpriced. "Roasted Summer squash" for $19 ended up being a single small zucchini with a dusting of other non descript greens. Wine list was low-end Gallo at high end prices; my $8 pint of craft beer was served 2/3rds full. Lights were constantly being adjusted. Menu had small print saying "we don't support higher mandated minimum wages for our staff, but will add 2% to your bill to compensate". I feel sorry for the people who work there. read more

This review is solely on service. We are staying at this hotel. Decided to have dinner here. Arrived about 7pm. Party of 6 total. We stood at the front for about 5 minutes without anyone even looking our way. When we finally got a table another 15 mins went by without drinks or anyone even letting us know they'd be with us soon. It was not even crowded. Very disappointing. The location is wonderful (and will, no doubt, improve greatly once the adjacent construction is complete). The service, without exception, was stellar. The folks who work there are authentically friendly. We were seated at what was, in my opinion, the best booth in the house -- by the window in the corner, overlooking the property's attractive golf course. I was first drawn to the restaurant by their wonderfully creative menu. My sister and I are vegetarians, and their offerings were exciting for us. They also have a nice wine menu. Unfortunately, however, my guests and I found both the execution and presentation of our orders to be disappointing and mediocre. I ordered the hummus plate. The bread they served with it was rock hard, and the hummus trio was unattractively slopped on the plate. My sister ordered the beet salad. She commented that the beets didn't taste roasted or particularly fresh and were only red. She also didn't like the large glumps of feta cheese in her salad. We were celebrating the 4th birthday of a child in our party. She ordered a ham and cheese sandwich with fries off of the child's menu. The toasted bread of the sandwich was so thick, she really couldn't enjoy it. The plate was also hot. Not good. Dishes for children should never be served on a hot plate. All things considered, we really did have an enjoyable experience at this restaurant. I do hope they focus on improving their kitchen; but I would return, if I am ever in the area again. We had an amazing time today at Cork Fire Kitchen. We were a party of 16! Although menu was limited due to the large number of guests, we did enjoy our food and the views are amazing! The lady who seated us, Christy, was accommodating and we felt welcome. The servers were friendly. We had Jake as our server on our table, he was amazing and very polite. We never felt rushed and could just enjoy our time. He was very patient with us and also very welcoming. We had also time to enjoy their beautiful golf course views and had a little photo op which was a great bonus! Will definitely bring guests or families back to these beautiful restaurant! read more

Every year, I plan an annual vacation for about 25 friends. We all grew up together and its imperative we stay connected. Last year, I held this vacation in Ojai, Ca. We had a sensational time. This year, I thought it be nice to host this trip in Temecula, Ca. Due to the fact Temecula hosts two of life's great treasures; golf and wine, I thought this would be perfect. I was right! We did some research and found The Temecula Creek Inn. This beautiful hotel hosts golf, wine tours, and a beautiful restaurant called . . . Cork Fire Kitchen. This is a warm, classy, and elegant restaurant that has a wooden cabin-like feeling. The view spectacular! During our meal, we could see the huge parts of the golf course via their tall panoramic windows. It was lovely. If I could make just one suggestion regarding the restaurant, the service lacked almost every time we ate there. I'm not sure what the problem was but it seemed to be a consistent issue that weekend. In fact, I sent one meal back because it took too long and we had plans. But we loved the menu and the feeling inside the restaurant. Looks like we'll be back next year. read more

This place is wonderful! Everything about it is wonderful. From the moment we walked in we felt more than welcomed by the staff. One of the servers passing by us as we were shown to our table even complimented my attire and said I looked amazing (we are here shopping for wedding venues so yes, I was trying to look pretty). Then, at least two different very friendly people brought us bread and waters and continued to just check on us generally. Brehannah (not sure of the spelling, I just recall it was unique) was amazing and attentive, poised, polished, well spoken and extremely professional. In fact, professional is how I would describe our entire experience at the Temecula Creek Inn. Brehannah even invited us to bounce our thoughts about the wineries we toured yesterday and the ones we have scheduled for today. Oh, she also knows how to pour wine (meaning, just a little red in the proper glass) and the Sangiovese was quite good. I am a vegan so I'm sure you can imagine just how fun it is to have me as a patron at a restaurant. In any even I asked to speak to the chef, who happily accommodated me and made a fabulous raw veggie crudités for me. Chef Even came out to check on our food. I would be remiss info did not mention my fiancé's shirt ribs. He said they are BY FAR the best he's eve had, and this man has travelled the world and lived in the South for a year. The meat literally melted in his mouth and did not require any accompanying sauce. It looked so amazing, I even had a mini taste and it was truly decadent. Before I came here, I looked at their menu online. It seemed like the typical "fancy" restaurant fare, so I figured it would be pretty good. I made reservations for a Saturday night but when my girlfriend and I showed up, the place was pretty quiet and not as busy like most restaurants on a Saturday night. We ordered the bone marrow to start and it was a bit disappointing. The portion is very small, maybe a full tablespoon of marrow in all. The pork belly as my dinner entree was also very small, with four pieces of pork belly amongst a giant plate of beans and peppers. My girlfriend got the short rib which was decent but I have had better. We decided against dessert seeing that it might have been just crumbs. The dinner menu is so-so, but the breakfast and service here is what gets the four stars. For breakfast (the following morning) I got the chorizo eggs benedict and my girlfriend got the farm breakfast which was two eggs, potatoes and choice of bacon or sausage. The chorizo eggs benedict is really, REALLY good. They make a delicious chipotle hollandaise sauce and the chorizo is very flavorful all on top of fluffy corn bread. The sausage is from local farmers which is also good, but a little salty. They got excellent service here too, checking up on you frequently and very nice. I would definitely be back here for breakfast/brunch but skip out on their dinner ;). read more

Oh how I wanted to love this place, but I couldn't because of the service we received here. We dined at around 6/7 PM on a Sunday night. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating. She took our name for a table but then said a high top was available in the bar area. We said yes because we were very hungry! We sat down and the hostess gave us a menu to look over. After about 10 minutes, no one had come to our table. I called over the hostess and asked who our waitress was. She explained that our waitress was in charge of the entire bar area. It was a little busy so we understood and waited patiently. Vera, was our waitress for the night. She took our drink orders and we ordered a cheese board. Then disappeared for I don't know how long after giving us our drinks. No silverware was given to us so my husband got up and just grabbed two for us. I had also asked for water. 10 minutes later, still no water. I was so close to just getting up and serving myself. (the water was directly behind me) By this time the bar area had cleared out. Again, she did not come by. We sat and waited and waited and waited. Finally we had to flag her down to just take our order. I saw on the menu that they had local monthly specials, she didn't mention any of this so I had to ask her. She took our food order finally and asked us if we needed anything else, I mentioned the water again. The entire time it seemed she was catering to a table that was still left in the bar area. It seemed like a table of 5 that she was consistently checking on. My husband made a comment of every time she checked on them. She would walk by our table, make eye contact and not stop. It has been by far the worst service we have had in years. I could not believe it. The food was quite good but the service left us with a sour taste in our mouth. So disappointed. *I would like to add the bartender who we spoke to once (for a drink recommendation) was super friendly and we wish we would have sat directly at the bar. I believe her name was LoriAnn. She made some yummy drinks! She had such a nice presence! *For the food, I had the bistro steak that came with asparagus and potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly (medium well) and the asparagus was nice and hot! But the potatoes were cold/lukewarm. I can assume it was plated first because the steak and asparagus was really hot! What a pleasant surprise in the land of little breakfast/brunch choices. I have been meaning to come to Cork ever since they did the remodel. I am quite thankful that I did. The service was excellent. As an example, I had ordered a drink that did not come out the way that I had hoped (not for the fault of the bartender), the server promptly had my drink replaced. Then....there were the biscuits. Hold your seats and keep your boots on those because are some of THE BEST I have ever had. They pair it with (at least when I went) honey butter and apple butter. We've been to the Temecula Creek Inn on a number of occasions over the years and enjoyed a dinner there mid-summer. So when it came time to pick a place to celebrate my husband's birthday, it seemed like a good, logical, local choice. I say, good move on our part! It was a VERY special birthday dinner here, and honestly, I can't imagine a better way to celebrate. Everything about the experience made it special, starting with our server, Kathleen, who hand-stuffed our olives with tangy blue cheese making for the perfect pre-dinner martinis. On to the Market Salad - a fresh, appetizing, colorful and creative collection of greens and vegetables, large enough to share. For dinner, my husband devoured the perfectly-cooked, tender lamb chops, accompanied by slices of roasted rutagbaga and an arugula/fennel salad. Did I mention he devoured it? And I enjoyed every unusual bite of the shrimp & grits. Don't let the name fool you...there is a LOT more happening in that plate. In fact, it's a party! Every bite had delicious flavors and textures, enough to keep it interesting until the very last bite. And since it was his birthday, Kathleen created the ultimate Chocolate Birthday Martini for dessert. My husband smiled all the way home. He's STILL smiling! We're looking forward to next time. First time to Temecula and discovered this place through OT based on prior reviews. Very consistent current experience with what others have written. Awesome venue, with a good drink list. Especially loved the craft whiskey cocktails. The shrimp and grits were featured that night and would rival any I had down in Charleston. Again with my fascination with restaurant names....this place conjured up images of wine and good food and it did not disappoint. This is one of the few restaurants that I have been 100% satisfied. There was not a single item that I did not enjoy. Visited for breakfast so we limited drinks to a Mimosa and a sSrawberry Bellinni. Both were excellent. The bar pours heavy on the champagne. As we were choosing our entrées our server brought us some fresh from the oven biscuits with honey apple butter and a delicious mango - lime concoction. The biscuit was so fresh it was still warm..it flaked perfectly, easily exposing the wonderfully delicious layers. I could have eaten it by itself but i couldn't bear to let the mango - lime concoction just go to waste. For our meal I was torn between the crab pot and the short rib hash....my desire for meat got the better of me and I went for the short rib hash. The short rib was cooked to perfection, perfectly seasoned and oh so tender. It wasn't shredded so you could actually bite into it and savor the flavor. It was tossed with bell peppers & potatoes them topped with egg. Over all it was excellent. My husband opted for the party four which was just your standard eggs, bacon, and hash plate...nothing too special was still good nontheless. My daughter got the kids pancakes with some sausage. Again utter deliciousness. The pancakes where nice and soft with a little hint of vanilla, and topped with Nutella. .. no syrup needed. For dessert the hubby and I opted to share the bourbon bacon pancakes. This is something anyone who likes bourbon and bacon must get! It is pure heaven. Overall this place is 5 stars... excellent service, delicious food, awesome views, and great ambiance! Definitely planning a return trip. read more

Sad. Food was pretty good, the complimentary biscuits were great, but the pancakes were too dense. I was really looking forward to my first experience here... and it would have been scored much higher, had the service not upset me halfway through our brunch visit. I met a friend at Cork Fire that I Hadn't seen in ages. We had planned for a nice long sit down. We were sat at our reservation time, ordered drinks and ate the complimentary biscuits with preserves provided, an hour later we ordered breakfast items. When the waitress brought the check, she said "No Rush, please enjoy each others company!" We took her at her word, and did so. After coming back by the table 3 more times to see if we had the check ready... the waitress finally asked us "I hate to do this, but "they" are making me cash you out" My girlfriend and I immediately got out our cards and paid. We sat there chatting for two more hours (well into the lunch service), and not ONE time after we paid, did anyone ask if we would like anything else to drink... anything from the lunch menu, or EVEN bothered to refill out water glasses. We had reservations at 9AM... we were at our table until 1PM. The restaurant could have easily made $30-$50 more dollars from our visit... and another double tip (we paid separately) had anyone... a manager, or another server, asked if we would like anything else. They didn't ask us to vacate our table, but i felt like my patronage was not appreciated, just the same as if they had. read more

On the edge of a golf course, this place is about as pretty as it gets. They sat us in one of the sofas near the window which, although comfortable, doesn't provide any realistic way of eating. I'm a tall guy and I was still too short to be able to eat normally. We asked to be moved to a table. The food was okay...we did all apps and a salad, but the service was slow and the waitstaff seem confused. My wife and I always ask each other if anything was memorable about the meal or the place. We use the conversation to gauge whether we will or will not go back. Okay food and service is not memorable. read more

Full disclosure: I came here for a private Yelp Elite Event and wanted to add a few more notes to the establishment itself apart from the event. Cork Fire Kitchen is situated on the grounds of the Temecula Creek Inn. There are views of the golf course and during sunset it gives a very picturesque view of Southern California beauty. The decor leans towards rustic but has been newly updated so it is nice. We obviously had a highlighted experience here but my biggest concern for a place like this is the food. For our event we chose our own three course meal. My choices were Shrimp and bacon donut holes, stuffed Quail, and Fig and goat cheese country tart. The strengths were in the appetizers and the dessert. An outstanding dining experience includes not only wonderful taste and presentation but it entices the nose as well. This is been one of the few places where the fig tart and bacon donut holes' scent stole the first impression. Well done. Of course taste was no slouch either. Looking at the rest of the menu that I did not try I would revisit the place to try the other fair as well. And, in general, I would even consider the restaurant and a venue for a special event such as a wedding. The ambiance combined with the good strong small plates would make a good reception I'd imagine. read more

This restaurant is being praised specifically for the banana bread french toast! My boyfriend and I shared this and the yummy hash but the star was indeed the french toast. It was just perfect. The taste of the banana bread, the syrup, nutella (OMG!) the fruits (strawberries, blackberries, blueberries). This stuff was addicting, perfect, scrumptious, sweet, tasty, satisfying, and etc! Had lunch at Cork Fire Kitchen last week. A cute, small dining room with lovely views of the golf course and a water fall with a couple mallard ducks swimming around. It was quiet on a Monday with only a large table already seated and myself with a guest. Due to the large table served first it was a long wait for our orders to arrive. My guest had a fish taco which was nicely presented and consisted of a generous serving of grilled fish. I had the grilled chicken sandwich, the chicken was tasty but dry, the bun immediately crumbling in my hand now having to resort to knife and fork. I would give Cork Fire Kitchen another try, probably for dinner. read more

There were four place settings but she didn't bother to remove one for our party of three. The overpriced food was not good and presentation was lacking. Met my father in law (FIL) and his girlfriend here for brunch with my wife and two small children. A recipe for disaster: a one year old and a 90 year old at the same table. It was my first time here since they remodeled. We had made a reservation and were seating promptly. Nice new tables and chairs, and still a great view of the gold course. The only minor complaint about the tables is the glass surface - your plate will slide around a bit if you get aggressive cutting your meat. I know, first world problems. Anyhow, our server Brianna appeared at our table immediately. She made sure we had a high chair for our little one and got our drink order going right away. She was able to make a few recommendations on the menu, reciting exactly the entrees and their preparation. Throughout our meal she was attentive, courteous, our orders were accurate, and she made sure we had a enjoyable experience. We ordered a variety of breakfast items, which they serve until 11:30a on weekends. Everyone was very happy with their selections. I had the Cow & Chicken (steak and eggs) and it was very good. It is served with a hangar steak, which is easy to screw up. Mine was cooked perfectly and was delicious. My wife had the Huevos Benedict and loved it. A bit spicy so be prepared! My FIL and his girlfriend split two dishes, which Brianna made easy by being prepared with extra plates and set-ups. Again, she was on her game. The kids enjoyed silver-dollar pancakes and bacon and cleaned their plates. Overall I'm going with five stars. The food was great; great ingredients, hot and right out of the kitchen. The new menu has some good variety and I look forward to trying lunch. Our morning cocktails (White Russians and Bloody Marys) were delicious. I was staying at the Temecula Creek Inn so we decided to try the restaurant here. We had an appetizer of wings and I had the chicken avocado soup and my wife had the Ruben sandwich. The wings were greasy cold and overcooked. The sauce on them was not very good. They were oven baked obviously and I would say they were on par with a bag of Tyson frozen buffalo wings. Definitely not worth $12 for 6 wings. The blue cheese dressing they came with was good however. The chicken soup was just ok. Nothing special and not worth $8 for about 8oz. The Ruben was just ok as well. Corned beef was on the dry side and the fries were not anything special either. I cannot recommend this establishment based on my experience. read more
