This is a good option for a healthy lunch, so was overall pretty happy. My D1 athlete likes the options and likes it better when I'm buying. I ordered a regular size, make your own bowl with tuna, purple rice, slaw, tomatoes, carrots, corn, cucumbers, green onions and miso sesame ginger dressing. It felt healthy. My small complaints - small portion, particularly of the protein, the tuna has very little flavor, too much dressing which dominates the flavor. I'm sure I would get better at ordering over time. The price was what you expect, but definitely not cheap for an order at the counter restaurant. I think two bowls with ice water was $26 + tip. If I were a big man, I would definitely have needed to order a larger portion. For $13 lunch bowl, I feel like it should be more filling. read more

What I got was consistently less than 2oz and I was specifically told by that location 1.5 oz is your serving. So there may be some further training this group needs. That said, I have another point. I have cook and eat a lot of chicken, and I literally weigh it to balance my macros. I have never seen it cook down by 25-50% which what your response is claiming. I have not seen beef cook down that much either, if it's grass fed. There just is not enough here for this to be worthwhile. So I'm keeping the two star. If I was a vegan or vegetarian, it's a great resource. It's not for someone who cares to maintain their muscle mass however. I do appreciate the offer of the credit though. read more

I love the concept, healthy-build-your-own bowls, in a nice fast casual atmosphere. I really appreciate having the option for something fast that is still healthy. I have been here 3 times now and I just can't say I really like the taste of anything I've had. I tried build-your-own, blah. I tried the chicken Cobb salad, ok, probably my favorite of the 3, and the new Korean BBQ bowl - also kinda blah and needed something that I just can't put my finger on. The price point is also too high in my opinion for what you get. Good food is expensive, yes, but veggies actually are really cheap and their meat isn't very good anyway. So I don't understand why a bowl is $10-$11. I think if it was more in the $7-$8 range I might eat here more often. read more

I really like the premise of this BYOB (build your own bowl) place in the Summit, however it did not live up to my expectations. A friend and I went on a Wednesday at 7 and I was surprised that it was pretty dead inside. There is a pretty large seating area, and there were maybe 2 or 3 other tables occupied. CoreLife is counter-service, so you can choose from a selection of salads, grain bowls, or broth bowls; or choose a base and create your own. I chose the "sriracha ginger roasted tofu" green bowl, and my friend had the "shitake mushroom and roasted tofu" broth bowl. My salad wasn't awful...I just can't say I'd be jumping up and down to go there again. I would much rather go to the whole foods salad bar thats nearby and spend my $8 there. The tofu was very chewy and the other toppings on the salad were pretty minimal, so I felt like I was chomping on kale with dressing (which was the saving grace of the salad). My friend ended up getting a to-go container for her soup to take home, so she could add some seasoning and heat it, as it was lukewarm when served and seasonless- per her report. The dining area itself seemed dirty...not all tables had been wiped down and there were a lot of gnats flying around...just not the best atmosphere. I did like that it posted the nutrition info on the menu, so its easier to choose healthy options. Hopefully CoreLife can step up their game! read more

I want to like this place. I really do, but we had some issues that made wanting to come back to this place really hard. I was our first visit, so we we're not really sure how it worked. Just so you know, it's like Panera and subway had a tofu baby. Healthy soups and salad/power bowls and almost everything has kale in it. After looking at the menu boards along the entrance, I decided on the tuna poke fire bowl. Spicy tuna. This was EVERYONE'S first time making it. They asked me if I wanted all the ingredients in it. Um, yeah. Whatever it comes with, but they did know and had to look at the recipe cards behind the counter. When my friend orders, this is where things start going wrong. He wanted the small chicken and rice noodle bone broth bowl. To me it sounded like it could be really good, like my favorite pho restaurant, or it was going to be bland. He asked for it without kale, but add mushrooms. The counter guy said we could make one substitution for free, but the next was forty cents. He seriously went on for a couple minutes despite me saying it was fine, but we didn't make ANY other changes. We watched them steam the bowl to cook the veggies and heat up the chicken. Then the girl added the veggie broth, which I should point out is not bone broth considering veggies don't have bones. We get to the register and order 2 drink. My poke bowl, his small noodle bowl and 2 drinks came up to over $25. Seriously?!? This better be amazing. We tried a couple lemonades before settling on the green tea apple cider concoction that probably had way more sugar than I needed, but it really was tasty. The low sugar option lemon, ginger, honey was not as good, with it being bitter and too gingery for me. One of the drink dispensers broke and fell in to my cup. I went to the counter and the girl pulled the piece out of my cup and went to fix it. I didn't fix it AND I didn't get a new cup. So I had some girl who's fingers had just been on her phone reach into my cup. *Shakes head* Meanwhile, we sit down and I start on my tuna fire bowl. It was tasty. Not sure what sauces are on it, but it was tasty. My friend however, looked at his bowl and I could tell he wasn't happy. He asked me to try it. I tried the broth. It tasted like warm water. Seriously, this had no flavor what so ever. I bring him some salt and he salts and tastes and salts some more and tastes. After doing that three times, I think he gave up. I offered to let them know that he wasn't happy with his meal, but he wasn't in the mood to deal with that so he just ate the salty water bowl. I liked my bowl and some of the drinks. The people behind the counter didn't seem like they knew what they were doing. Some were playing on their phones. To me, it's not worth spending that kind of money on the hassle of it. Give it a try if you want and my your experience be better than mine. read more

I love love love this place! It's quick and easy for a healthy meal. I especially love the location because it's neighbors with quite a few fitness studios at The Summit. I usually have a hard time picking out what I want to eat because I want to order everything off the menu. The most recent time I went, I got the Korean BBQ bowl with a side of Mac n Cheese. The bowl was freshly made right before my eyes, and they fried up a fresh egg to go on top of the bowl. It had a nice spicy kick to it, as well. The Mac n Cheese they had was on another level. It was gluten free, and might have been some of the best Mac I've ever tasted. It had a sharp cheddar flavor with a nice crusty top. SO good. I ordered the Bowl + Side option, where the bowl is a little bit smaller, and I thought it was the perfect portion size. I was comfortably full after finishing the meal, and the price was reasonable as well. 10/10 would recommend eating your next meal here! read more

I ordered a Ginger Steak and Rice Noodles bowl, which watched the team members make right in front of me, pulling fresh kale and arugula with the rice noodles, then I ended up changing a few of the ingredients - carrots, beets (I love beets), fresh peppers and ginger with the miso sesame ginger dressing on the side. I've tried a couple of different things here now and I'm just not into it. I love the idea of a "build your own" healthy food bar vibe, but I just haven't seen it done well yet. The BEST part of this place is their tea...hands down. That's all I get anymore. There are several interesting and tasty tea selections including apple cider vinegar, fig, turmeric, and other unique combos! As far as the food, here are the issues I've ran across. I gave this place several tries before rating: -the ahi tuna was ...wrong. it was icky and sour and just ... not what it was supposed to be. kind of ruined the whole bowl. -varying temperatures of ingredients in bowls. some stuff is ridiculously colder (or warmer) than other ingredients which makes for a really weird sensation. -sour dressings. like they haven't been used in awhile and just aren't being replaced. or maybe not shaken up? -stale tortilla strips in a southwest-style bowl. I mean. c'mon. -not the best value for the portioning. being green shouldn't have to equal swimming in the green. they're veggies. they're cheap. it should be more accessible and not cost-prohibitive. It's not like the food is terrible, but there are just so many little things that pile up and make eating here kind of an annoyance and just not worth the cash. But that tea? Get that tea. read more

I'm obsessed. This place is not only healthy but delicious and inexpensive so if you're trying to keep your pockets fatter and your stomach flatter, this is for you. They have an extensive menu which really helps for those that have a craving but are trying to stick with well balanced meals with out all the grease. I was brought here by a friend on a weekday afternoon. I was exited to try the bone broth. Since I was a first timer to this kinds of establishment I had lots of questions and the staff was very willing to answer all of them. I tried the Spicy Ginger Steak & Rice Noodle. It was ok, my feeling is that if I had not included it not had the Saracha it would have had not flavor at all. I may have become way to accustomed to too much food :( The person who collected my money at the offer a small tasting cup to allow for mixing and matching of the teas and lemonade! Awesome! I over all thought the food I had here was a 3 but the service bumped it up to a 4! I will freely admit this in not my thing, but for folks who like this kind of experience, these folks seem to put on a good meal. I usually head to core life after my cycle bar class and it's so good!! Really healthy and fresh ingredients. I've had some different things, but the shiitake mushroom and tofu bone broth bowl is my favorite so far (substituted chicken broth for the vegetable broth). The bbq bowl is amazing as well, but the bone broth bowl is much better calorie wise and still extremely filling. Usually lasts me 2 meals (med size portion). They're always so accommodating to anything you want to do differently to your bowl (adding/subtracting etc). It's a little spendy (about $9), but you get what you pay for and you get a good amount of food. Sarah and Jessica helped me today. I wanted my ingredients in a separate container than my chicken broth and they didn't hesitate to make this happen. They never try to rush you in line and make sure they've fully taken care of you. Unfortunately this location doesn't seem to care about cleanliness. When I arrived there were no customers in the store yet behind the line where they prepare your food is disgusting. Spilled food on the counter, pieces of lettuce and other foods mixed up in the cheese. Lettuce on the counter top. The grill looks like it hadn't been cleaned in several days. The spatula had old food on it and the employee scrapped it off and proceeded to turn my chicken then put my wrap on a dirty looking press. I was going to just grin and bare it but I couldn't. I simply stated I changed my mind and left. This is my second time visiting this establishment and both times dirty food line. I could let it slide a bit if the store was packed with customers but each time not a soul in sight. Just nasty. read more

What a nice change of pace in the world of restaurants. We stopped by looking for something healthy and delicious and we found it here at CoreLife Eatery. I had the ginger steak and rice noodle broth bowl and it hit the spot! I appreciate they don't over-do it with too many ingredients. The broth was very warming and not overly salted. The veggies and steak were great as well. I loved the house made hot sauce they have by the silverware, it was a great extra kick to the bowl. My wife had the steak, bacon, and blue cheese salad and said it was really good. My son had the kids chicken and rice noodle bowl with a creamy tomato sauce over it. From the beets, to the carrots to the grated ginger, the salad made me feel happy and healthy. I got the dressings on the side which were Sriracha and a orange ginger dressing. There were an assortment of salad toppings as well as fresh juices. The restaurant was clean, upbeat and bright like my mood :-). I've been to CoreLife Eatery a handful of times since it opened. It's near work, and it's a healthy lunch option. My husband & I are doing the Elimination Diet right now to test food allergies & sensitivities (by slowly reintroducing foods into our diet, we can see how certain foods affect us. I've discovered I have a problem with tomatoes, for example), which makes eating out a bit tricky right now. CoreLife is one of the few places that meet our current dining needs. It's great that everything is prepared fresh and right in front of you. I like that it's ready before you've even finished paying. They claim to use local ingredients when possible. And for a place that pretty much only serves soup & salad, there are a lot of options & variety. A large broth bowl (I really like the chicken & rice noodle bowl) leaves enough left over for a second meal. The small bowl looks really tiny when it's empty, but it's actually the perfect size for lunch. The prices are very reasonable, considering the freshness of everything. They use grass-fed beef & antibiotic-free chicken, but they don't use organic meats & vegetables. I'm sure that's to keep costs down. I'd definitely be willing to pay more for organic ingredients, though. I kind of hate the hipster vibe inside. The music is far too loud, for one thing. But there's a patio outside with a lot of seating. I'll definitely continue to eat here several times a month, because of its proximity to the office & the healthy lunch options. read more

Overall this place is great. Good concept, good execution. I made my own salad bowl on two occassions and loved them both. I'm on keto so the grain bowls do not work for my diet, so I can only speak to the salads and the standalone bone broth which was also good. This place is actually pretty neat for a healthier fast, casual dining restaurant. It's setup in the style like Qdoba or Blaze Pizza where you walk down the bar to pick and choose what you'd like to add to your bowl. Very nice vegetarian options as well. I got the shitake mushroom and roasted tofu vegetable broth bowl. I didn't realize it included kale, which I really don't like, but it ended up tasting really good still. They do this cute thing with the broth bowl where they steam all the veggies before adding the broth so it all stays warm! The roasted tofu was surprisingly very good as well. My boyfriend got the Southwest chicken and wild rice bowl which was also incredibly tasty. Bonus points for including cold Brew coffee along with all the fancy teas and lemonades to choose from! We've been here a few times and it's pretty good (and seems pretty healthy), but we were disappointed by the Hummus/Falafel Plate my boyfriend ordered today, which prompted this review. The picture online (1st picture attached) shows a serving of 3 yummy looking full-sized falafels. What we received was 2 sorry-looking falafel pieces that were strangely cut in half (see 2nd pic attached). When he complained, the worker gave one more measly half-sized one on his plate. The other gripe was that they were almost out of the root vegetables he ordered, so he ended up with another chintzy portion, scraped from the bottom of the pan. One of the best restaurants in the Summit! Healthy, fresh ingredients and delicious food; what more could anyone want?! You can select from numerous salads, broth bowls or rice bowls. If you want to go your own way, you can make custom meals as well! I'm very picky when it comes to the freshness of greens so trust when I say CoreLife's salads are amazing. My favorite is the Chicken Cobb salad. I also love the steak rice bowl. You'll typically spend around $10 for a meal here, which is average for the Summit.
