I couldn't believe the lackadaisical service here to get a document scanned -- for $1/page. The woman hands me a slip and a pen and has me jot down my email address. She does the scan and goes to a computer and types and then tells me to check my email. Five minutes and still no document. I let her know that and she asks me my email address. She goes back to the computer. Still not received. She shows me the address she typed in and I see it is a .gmail address and not .mac as I had written. So who knows who received my dad's advance health directive? I look to the left of the counter and actually SEE the paper with the address I had written down! So, she just relied on memory to try and send a document instead of taking the slip to the keyboard. No apology for the error either. read more

If I could give negative reviews, Copy World would be the FIRST company to get it. They botched my mother's funeral program by placing a blemish on every single page of the program and blaming it on a machine, THAT THEY ARE CURRENTLY USING, needing a replacement part. Ali was extremely rude, condescending, disrespectful and unsympathetic to what they'd done and how they ruined the program. No refund as the funeral was the next day and I had to have SOMETHING. Again no remorse. A very "oh well, it happened, get over it" attitude and action. Surely they could have done more to alleviate their colossal screw up for using broken machines. This experience was just absolutely terrible. Spare yourself from going off on them too. Don't say that you haven't been warned about them. read more

After perusing through other reviews, I found that the common consensus is that this place gets the job done with fast service and at a low cost. My own experience was not far from this observation. Overall, I had a good experience. First of all, there's a designated parking lot right outside, which you don't come across often, especially on University. I pulled into the parking easily because there were many spots maybe because not many people were making copies on a Saturday afternoon. But what satisfied me the most was the service and cost. Prior to coming here, I went to Kinko's, where I spent twice the price for the same job. Although I prefer the spiral binding at Kinko's, it didn't justify the price. The staff member was very friendly and attentive. I paid $2.73 for binding (luckily I was able to print the 89-page document at home). I was rather happy with the quality of the binding. It seems sturdy. One tip I have is make sure you bring cash because no card payment is accepted under $5. Other than that, I say skip corporate copy centers and choose copy world! I was so frazzled about my friend's lost kitten that I forgot my wallet when I drove to CW to make 100 color copies of the LOST KITTEN flyer. When I realized this I panicked and waved my smartphone around and asked if there was some way I could pay via an app... the gentleman behind the counter calmly said "Come back later and pay". I was stunned. That's the kind of thing that happened in the 1950s, right? I thanked him profusely, ran to post the 100 flyers, and returned the next day to pay him. The woman who took my phone order stated there was a $10 minimum. What the hell is that about?? You are literally overcharging your customers during a pandemic as if it the customer's fault. Costs $20 to make color copies... for that amount I should just save up to buy a color printer of my own (note to self: save up for color printer.) You don't get a discount if you use double-sided pages, which is disappointing. They don't have hole punchers or any other "amenities" you'd get at larger copy centers, and customer service varies depending on the day. They usually seem overwhelmed bordering on annoyed. There's an impressive sign out front that seems to sum up the general attitude: "Don't even ask to use the bathroom!" With an exclamation point! When I needed help figuring out how to make my copies darker, one of the women Behind The Desk took pity on me and punched in the appropriate codes. Voila, $20 copies!! Unfortunate time there today. Went in to print transparencies and ended up waiting 20+ minutes to only have half the order printed. In order to have it printed, I needed to pay to use a pc station (which is pay-per-time). Pulling the file up took seconds, but I waited at the station (with very little communication from the woman working) long enough to need to go out and add more money to my meter, only to be told that after waiting, the only way I could have the rest of the order printed if I made paper copies (???) and then let them print the rest..... YIKES. I wanted to support this small business instead of heading to some faceless giant corp like fedex, but I was very disappointed with today's experience. read more

I came here over the weekend trying to make a bulletin for an event that has multiple pages front and back... Very complicated, at least for me. Consumers beware - the SECURITY OF YOUR COMPUTER FILES AT RISK! Yesterday, on 1/3/20 I used their computer and opened my gmail account to print some information. Unfortunately, although charged a small fee because it took only a minute or two, my transaction was finished and I was issued a receipt. I then hurriedly caught a train to work. Several hours later, while still at work, I see an Notice from Amazon confirming a REQUEST I HAVE CHANGED MY EMAIL. A SECOND ONE CONFIRMING A PASSWORD CHANGE. I immediately replied to Amazon's email that I had not done this and to stop. I got a "this is an auto response and do not reply. Contact Customer Service." I then made sure that any purchases had been made using the fraudulent email when I got home. Unfortunately, this was not the end. That evening Google also alerted me that I had requested and a PASSWORD CHANGE. NOT!! Someone from this establishment was going for EVERYTHING!! Of course, this has been reported to both Amazon and Google as will the BBB. But I also want others to be aware of what happened to me on the way to work after stopping for a minute to make a single copy. I don't want it to happen to you. read more

We've used Copyworld for all our party fliers for the last couple years because they had great competative prices... sure, sometimes a handful of the fliers would be cut wrong, but the prices were great. Copyworld has now lost our business. We ordered fliers through their website, which apparently has a glitch and charged our card SIX TIMES. At $142 x 6, that's well over $800!!!! First, when we received multiple receipts, we called immediately to have them check and make sure we were't really charged multiple times. The guy on the phone said he'd check and call us back. We received no call. The next day our online account showed SIX charges from them. We then again called them immediately and told them we needed the money refunded RIGHT AWAY as we had other bills coming out of our account. The Manager on the phone assured me he saw all 6 charges and would refund 5 of them. 2 days later, the money is still not in our account. We called again to see why our money had not been refunded and the guy proceeded to argue with us claiming we had not been charged SIX times, but only three times. They sent us a "refund" email notification saying they refunded 2 orders. The money, again, is still not in our account. Not only did they throw our account into a negative balance, but once our other autopay bills were taken out, we received over $300 in overdraft fees due to their website malfunction. We asked if they could offer any form of compensation, perhaps write off an order of fliers due to this - nope, nothing. They said they did us a "gratis" by NOT keeping 15% of the orders their website over charged us for, because apparently, canceling any order requires 15% of the original price kept. This is terrible customer services, they did nothing to repair the damages done and nothing to even remotely try and keep our business. Their customer services has never been up to par and they tried to blame US for THEIR website charging us for multiple orders. NOT ONLY THIS, but we paid the higher amount to ensure we would have our fliers in a 1 day turn around. We ordered them online through their website and called to make sure we could have them sent to the SF Location for printing and pick up. We were informed to put that in the notes on the order. We did so and it was never sent to the SF Location. So we got our order 4 days later.... and our money STILL isn't in our account. We are a large collective of DJs and Artists that have always used Copyworld for our printing.... never again will be deal with them. They have cost us too much money this time. read more

There is no Yelp appropriate way to say how I feel about this place (after all there are kids reading)! Copyworld Inc is horrible on all levels. I cannot stress enough how rude the staff was, how stuck together and poorly cut my flyers were, and how unbelievably unconcerned the staff and management were when, due to their mistake, my flyers were over three days late. Do yourself a huge favor and take your business elsewhere. Their service is horrible, quality is poor, and they don't care about your business. I know it's a Yelp cliche, but, I'd give zero stars if I could. Trust me on this one and use another store for your printing needs. I'd rather let my one year old nephew draw my next club flyers with crayon on construction paper than waste my time and money here again. I have pages from a book to copy for a class of Seniors, and it needs to enlarged, collated, stapled.( this last part is because I am LAZY) All this is beyond me, as whatever machine I choose seems to go bonkers at the sight of me, I must ask the staff to do the job for me. I make a lot of flyers and posters. You can order your posters online, but if you go there, you most likely can get them done and on the spot. The posters are a thicker quality than you get anywhere else, and great quality. They had an issue with the onlinr site, but has since been fixed, and so there is no reason to go anywhere else. Seriously, prices are better and turnaround times are faster than PS Print, or any other printer. Even if you go online, you won't get better prices, and damn sure won't get better quality. If you print large amounts of anything, you must not like money, quality, or fast delivery if you decide to go anywhere else. Not playing, just do the simple research and you will see! read more

They have a sign that says, "No restroom please. Do not ask." That should tell you what their attitude towards customer is. If they really care about their customer service, they should rewrite the sign. "Sorry, No restroom" would be just fine. Other than that, I really haven't had a bad experience there.
