This company managed to break my professionally packed Fostoria dishes, over 100 years old!!!! I am not exaggerating when I say that every single box we opened after the move contained at least one broken item in it, and strangely, the items broken were the most expensive and the most impossible to replace. I had to have them come and repack the storage unit so that I could manage to get access to all of our boxes and this is what I found after they did that. Box after box of broken heirlooms and memories and keepsakes. Oh I got one informing them of the news was a "sorry and here's a claim form"! They give you a quote and then I'm small writing say it's way over the amount of you go certain hours. They send only two guys to move which required 4 per their quote of how fast they will move you. Per the guys actually doing the moving, this sort of deception happens regularly. Then they broke my table and said they would deliver it fixed several times. I can only assume the quality of Copperstate Moving is going downhill from its earlier days. I decided to go with them because someone mentioned their name in passing. Big mistake. They plaster on the side of their trucks "affordable" but my experience of them providing affordability? Anything but. In fact, they were the least affordable moving company I've ever used in my ENTIRE life. This company charged me nearly $85 just for using my credit card - a fee they neglected to tell me about in advance, of course, despite the fact I spoke with them on several occasions. Also, if your move ends 15 min past the hour, be prepared to pay for the entire hour. Example: if your move ends at 8:17 pm, be ready to fork over money for the other 43 minutes in which the movers have completed the move and left. This amounts to an added $120 (given their rate of $165/hour). An extra $120 for work they didn't do!! There's a ton of things I could use that money for besides paying someone for work that wasn't done. Can't you? Look for companies that don't tack on added costs at the end of your move. Their fees cost me an added $205. Flat-rate movers are out there, and it pays to make the effort to find them or outright request a flat-rate. I will be doing so in the future. Here's the final eye-opener: when they moved me, I actually had less furniture, having gotten rid of a number of items, including a patio couch, 4-drawer file cabinet, dining room table, 4 large boxes, folding table, indoor bench, large coffee table, office chair, bistro set, and outdoor 4-pc patio dining set. Yet, it cost me MORE money with this company, not the SAME or LESS. Un-freaking-believable! Companies who get poor reviews are quick to sprout an online, "I'm sorry to learn that...please contact me..." for the public view, but behind the scenes, they do little, if anything at all, to resolve the customer's angst. Unhappy customers the world over already know exactly what I'm talking about. Also, this company marred the walls in two different places that I'll be responsible for patching and repainting--at my expense. Update - because I posted a negative review, Marcus and Crystal Achimon are now threatening to not deliver my remaining items. I have had to contact both the Attorneys General Office and DPS. This situation continues to get worse. I just want my items and to submit a claim for the damages. I offered to take down my review if they would just complete the move and submit the claims but as of now, that was not acceptable to them. They took my items in CO and placed it in their storage - the value of my items left behind is several thousand dollars. read more

As a solo parent things get overwhelming. I didn't schedule my movers until the last minute and then my closing date got changed. Marc came out and gave me a quote with two trucks to make sure my local move was finished in one day. When I moved the date they were not going to be able to have two trucks. Marc worked hard to rearrange other things to make sure he was able to deliver what he promised, even though I changed the date. He calmly worked with me in my panicked state. He handled it very well. In addition we ran into some issues when everything was delivered to the new home. Marc came back days later and made it all right working within my schedule to make sure it was done when it was ok with me. I would recommend them for your next move. read more

Terrible experience - we were lied to from the start to finish and now on Google review told we exaggerated our claims. We were told that we had full value insurance and we had heat damage and packing & handling damage verified by 3rd party. Our work clothes were crammed into boxes with art work and breakables so the clothes all needed to be drycleaned and frames were broken. We paid to have clothes packed properly and art separately - not done. We paid for inside storage and that was not done. We paid alot and were told that only Copperstate employees would be involved but it was subcontracted out to packers in PHX and on the other side in WA. We never asked for our belongings to sit in the PHX heat and then for months and months to go by while we deal with adjusters who tried to give us 60 cents a pound! They were to arrive at 7 am and didn't show up until 9:30 which ran us late for giving the house to the new owners. They did a good job packing up our household goods. I told Mike and Crystal that we would need our furniture on June 12th. Every time I called and left a message nobody returned my calls. We finally got our furniture on the 16th because they loaded the truck incorrectly and put our stuff in front and the driver had to go 2 hours past us to unload the back and then come back to us. The crew tore the flooring in the laundry room, marked up the walls that we are going to have painted and the remote for our sleep number bed was lost and we had to purchase a new one and have it synced to our bed and that didn't happen until the 22nd. I called Francesco in their claims department on the 16th with these problems and she said she would call back and never has called. They do not have any communication about delivering your belongins. read more

The rating comes mainly because of the customer care side. Crystal came to our house and gave us an estimate, worked with us to make the price work and provide storage options until our new home is built. The moving crew took extreme care with every piece of furniture, wrapping and strapping everything. The one concern we had is that the moving crew was over 2 hours late from our scheduled time. I still gave a high rating due to the owners explaining why they were late and the crew apologizing upon arrival. While it did cause some inconveniences, the overall job they did outweighs being late. We originally were going to use PODS due to needing long term storage, but Copperstate provided a better deal with better service. The crew was friendly and polite and worked through the day to inventory, wrap and load everything for us. After the job was complete we did notice some scuff marks on our back pool deck from moving our BBQ. When made aware of our concern, Crystal made time herself to come take care of the issue before the final walk through for our home sale. This meant a lot to us...as our hose and everything had been packed and we had no way to take care of it ourselves. All that you can ask is that someone will work with you to resolve any concerns as they come up....and Copperstate went above and beyond for us. read more

We were referred to Copperstate Moving by our realtor and we are SO thankful for that. They came FROM Arizona TO California, packed us up and dropped us off. The staff at Copperstate were responsive, efficient, flexible, and stayed true to the estimate we were given (which was about $2,000 less than our California estimates)! We had an unusual situation arise during the sale of our home and had to continually postpone our move date for a whole month! Crystal and Marcus were very accommodating and were ready when we were. The trucks arrived on time, the guys that packed us up worked hard and made us feel totally comfortable with their professionalism and friendliness. We had a complicated situation, trying to get our child's belongings moved out of her apartment while we were 2,000 miles away and unable to return because of COVID. Copperstate provided flawless service and helped us navigate the many challenges, from the awful management at Roosevelt Point in Phoenix who wouldn't let movers park on the property to buying us a lock for our shipping container. Most importantly, they treated us with compassion and concern. They never said "We don't do that" and went far out of their way to help us. They were friendly, kind, and efficient. Although Copperstate did a great job moving me into Freedom Plaza they fell short from completing the job. They left numerous boxes in the bathroom as well as refused to hang pictures and light fixtures. They also broke a lamp which they said they were going to fix and return but have yet to receive back. Our cross-town packing and moving process on 3/24/21 was mishandled from start to finish, and it was never finished. It took them 10 hours and us the rest of the next day to move a three bedroom house 10 miles. The initial quote was reasonable, but it was not honored and and we incurred thousands of dollars in damaged furniture, which was never reimbursed. We never even got a clear response from the company after numerous inquiries with itemized cost lists. In out last communication, the owner, Marcus Achimon, refused to address our concerns, but he was clearly speaking to another client with another complaint about a different move! He ceased communication when I pointed that out. Workers seemed largely untrained and exploited. We had to feed them! A summary of the packing and moving problems: Some packers were untrained and left unsupervised. The kitchen was done well. Apart from that, very personal, valuable and special items, as well as documents being currently used on desks and bedside tables etc. were packed recklessly together in a damaging and haphazard way with boxes we paid for barely half full in some cases and labeled in confusing ways. We tracked down specific boxes and repacked them ourselves. At this time, based on a video walk through, their foreman confirmed that the amount of furniture and possessions in the house, garage, yard and shed would fit well into one truck with one crew within the next day, as we had been quoted. The movers arrived at or after 9 am. The supervisor immediately expressed frustration at the amount of work and the incompetence of his team. He began swearing loudly about it and calling the office two or more times to complain. His helpers seemed completely untrained. One asked us numerous times, "what needs to go?". (We kept two twin floor mattresses and a few small suitcases apart from the moving process, which seemed to cause endless confusion for the workers). The team communication and coordination was clearly poor, e.g. one worker prepped the TV box in the living room and another left it sitting there and instead wrapped the TV in plastic. This had to be undone. One worker seemed genuinely disoriented; he did not know how to get water from the refrigerator and repeatedly asked me for a glass from the kitchen he was supposed to be moving. None of the workers seemed to have water or food. They never seemed to take a break throughout the 14 hour process, but some were not clearly focused on work. They moved slowly and unsurely and repeatedly asked confused questions and acted overheated and tired early in the day. Around 3 or 4 o'clock in the afternoon a new, very competent worker showed up with another truck. He began wrapping and loading items in the garage. He brought a few more furniture pads, but there were not nearly enough and not enough boxes. He was creatively packing with whatever was around and asking me for towels, sheets etc. e.g., He put piles of lamps into our own wicker basket and wrapped them in plastic. My husband and I, with our toddler, helped wrap, pack and organize items at top speed all day. We had to repeatedly tell the movers to move items and not ignore or leave them behind. We had to disassemble the play structure because the worker could not figure it out. He then misplaced the screws and the team refused to move it on the truck. We finally headed out to the new house after dark with our small children and two full trucks, with several items still remaining at the old house. The hardwood floor at the old house was scratched deeply in three places. When one truck first arrived, the driver came close to backing into the house. The unloading process was minimal since we had most items stacked in the garage, but it still took 3-4 hours. Only some of the large furniture pieces were meant to come into the house. We had to repeatedly send workers back out to the garage with boxes because they were confused. We watched as several items were damaged in the moving process. Really only one person did 80% of the work while others stood around. We bought them all pizza since no one had rested or eaten all day. The one supervisor began attempting to assemble beds, but he didn't remember how and took a very long time as he repeatedly took things apart. In the end, three of the four beds were not done correctly. Dressers and hutches were also not re-assembled. It got so late for the little children, most of the family had to leave and go back to the old house around 10pm. Well after that, a bill was presented for much more than the quoted price. This was the first written agreement we had seen. The handwritten addendum with the extra charges was not clearly itemized and hard to read. When we questioned this, the supervisor from the office on the phone at first refused to discuss this change with us. It was suggested that the workers would not be paid if we didn't pay the full bill immediately. Out of anger, exhaustion and coercion, we paid it. read more

Despite being under extreme duress and not being able to finish the packing in time, Copperstone came to my home and finished the packing in record time and moved my belongings across country without any problems. A couple of weeks passed and there was no response or check in the mail. My wife reached out to the office via telephone and spoke with Mark, Crystal's husband and co-owner. Mark was rude and aggressive over the phone with my wife indicating that we were lucky that Crystal even offered to refund us because QUOTE FROM THE OWNER MARK: "Its impossible for us to know how much time its going to take." My wife asked him when we will receive our check and Mark indicated that she would need to call back Monday. My wife asked if someone would contact her and Mark indicated that no, she would need to call and 'see what happens'. On moving day the price went up $25.00 an hoyr because he said he didn't quote me for 3 people it was for 2 people. Not what he said. Then he complained about too many boxes and that he didnt know there was that much when he did the quote. Of course not. I hadn't packed yet. Then on moving day the only thing they kept saying is they needed to get done so they could get home to see the football game. From the first phone call with Crystal I knew this company was the one I wanted to utilize. I had made so many other calls to other moving companies to obtain quotes and just continually got the "run around", but Crystal was straight forward, answered my questions, no hidden fees, provided me her cell phone number and encourage raged me To text/call with any questions or concerns I may have had... she even answered her phone while she was traveling! I had to make last minute changes, due to a fluctuating close date on my home, crystal easily made accommodations. The move! "T" and Nate were fantastic! I wanted to save costs and provided my own enclosed trailers, but I didnt necessarily have all the right "stuff" (blankets, shrink wrap...) to go along with large packing. T and Nate jumped right in to the rescue, treated all my furniture as if it was in a museum, wrapping it in blankets/towels, coordinated how everything thing would fit/ride in the trailer, and it was FAST! These two young men never stopped moving! From the moment they arrived, I gave them a tour, pointing ouT what needed to be loaded... and then the timer started and they immediately tell got to work. I can't say enough great things about these men. I had a furniture delivery at the same time ass the movers weree unloading the trailers and they even jumped in to help make sure everything went where it was supposed to go. Respectful, professional, positive (I did ALL the complaining about how much crap I had and the fact it was 107 degrees) but "T" and Nate NEVER once complained, their outlook was "everything's easy" and even provided me encouragement (again, I was doing a lot of bitchin about how exhausting moving in the summer was) but they kept it pOsitive, "I love it, I think of it as getting paid to workout and now I don't have to goo to the gym." In short, I i have done a lot of shopping around for a moving company... even places a deposit on one but just got "weird vibes" and cancelled. Then I spoke with frys star who alleviated all my fears and I can say that I do not agree with some of the reviews I read on here. Awful experience with this company. Damaged multiple items and lost a chair that was part of a four chair set. Told us our items would be placed in a vault and not moved. We were later told items were moved because they moved to a different building. Items were moved while our new house was being built and in their storage. Multiple items missing at first. Took weeks to find them and multiple phone calls to get a response. We were rushed to sign paperwork when our move finally occurred. After an all day move the movers know you are not going to go through each box. That would take another five hours. Of course the insurance is ludicrous. Not based on value of item, but the weight of the item. What would it matter how much our extended sofa weighs? This company tore the fabric to the point it was not repairable. I chose this company as a recommendation through a community FB page for residents in EMR. Initially, the conversation to set the appointment was pleasant and professional. We set a date on the 31st from 12-2. At an agreed upon rate of $22070 for truck, 3 guys, and 2 hours and $100 each additional hour. I ended up getting booted from my spot because I didn't call back and confirm the time even though our last conversation I stated I would call only if I needed to cancel. The next day the 1st, I was told they would come within 2 hours of 10:40AM. They arrived 3 hours late. The movers took 4 cigarette breaks on my time, and flicked their butts into my old driveway and also at my new house. I got comped the truck for canceling my move date the day before without notifying me. So, that's $50 off. My total should have been $220. They left equipment at my old house and asked me to go retrieve it. We did, that was 40 minutes out of my own time to bring it to them. They also left a giant pile of orange cellophane wrapping in my yard instead of disposing of it properly along with their cigarette butts. In the end, they told me it was $120 each additional hour. They took forever to load and unload so I went an hour over. When I reminded the owner I was quoted only $100 each additional hour, he declined to honor that and began yelling at me and my friend who helped me move over the phone. He threatened to "show up in person ". My end total after being yelled at my end total was $360 ....for 3 hours and they didn't even move my whole house. We ended up doing 6 (2) truck bed loads back and forth to finish the job, and I cleaned up all the cigarette butts they left behind. Very unprofessional, overpaid, and they also make you sign the "no damage" signature part right when they start the move- not after so they won't be held liable for any damage. I am a small local mover from San Diego, CA. I sometimes take loads to Phoenix, AZ. I used Copperstate Moving to help me unload a 26-ft truck which was about half full. Terron, Sean, and Enrique knocked down this move like pros! My customer kept saying: "Oh my god, you guys are amazing! I have never seen movers that fast!" We recently used Copperstate Moving to move from Arizona to Florida. From beginning to end we were lied to. First Crystal (owner) said that they have been doing long distance moving for 5 years, not true, they have only been doing it a couple of months. Our furniture was suppose to be delivered on November 25th and when we called a few days earlier to inquired about the delivery the "new guy" in the office knew absolutely nothing about it. We called Crystal several times and she would not return our call. We didn't get our furniture until November 30th so 5 more days of hotels and eating in restaurants. When our furniture finally did come it was filthy I mean black filth. One mattress is disgustingly dirty and won't come clean and it was not even 6 months old. Then to top things off we didn't get any of our hardware so they were unable to put tables and beds together. My husband then called the office and the other owner Marcus answered and my husband asked where our hardware was Marcus said "file a claim". My husband said nope I am holding $500 dollars from my balance until the hardware gets here and Marcus instead of apologizing and looking for the hardware told my husband "I'll sue you" he was very nasty. Well they did fine the hardware and we got it 7 days later. He mailed it the cheapest way possible. When you firs talk with Crystal she will return your calls but after you sign up with them you will not hear from her again.
