I have been to Copperhill many times and the food and service has always been good. Yesterday, the service was really slow. The steak was over cooked and it was redone. I couldn't eat the new piece of steak it as it was very tough and rubbery. I was dining with 3 other people- the salmon and halibut dishes were good, however, the scallops were not good and the tuna appetizer was fishy. The peppers were good (appetizer). What a nice farm to table restaurant with large parking lot and outdoor dining area. Inside was cute and very spacious with tables set apart from each other. Restaurant opened at 11am on Sundays and we were seated right away for our reservation for a party of 10. Service was attentive and food came out pretty quickly. Loved all the food that we ordered! The cinnamon doughnuts and the warm biscuits as appetizers were amazing. I ordered salmon which was very fresh. The burger was huge and the fries were addictive. The smoke salmon and avocado toast was equally good. There was a large private room that can be used for some special occasions. Would love to come back again when in the hood. read more

We had such a delight dinner at Copperhill this past Tuesday night. Parking lot, big plus. Cocktails, appetizers and dinner were delicious. Started with the stuffed dates- so flavorful. Every once in a while, I like to try new places to see how they are. I love my standard go to places however, tonight I just added a new restaurant to my favorites. Copperhill offers you a very eclectic dining experience. The restaurant atmosphere itself was just so nice, I was looking around right away thinking about my next visit.... and I wasthere only 5 minutes. The staff are all so wonderful. Cassie our waitress was just amazing. She comes to the table tray to get you excited about your dining experience. She brought such a wonderful presence to this restaurant. She gladly took our drink orders and was back in a flash. She made sure that you were all good with your drink, no empties! Cassie have us some great suggestions for dinner as well. The food here is just so all amazing. From the presentation to the taste. We started with a wonderful charcuterie board that had prosciutto, a smokey style sausage (I should've asked what it was) it was so delicious , and another meat as well...maybe cappicola? We also had a board with thick toasted Italian breads covered with crab meat, cheese and another bread that i can not recall. Dam IPA'S. Also in the first round were these amazingly delicious figs wrapped with bacon in a balsamic reduction. (OMG Delicious). THEN.... for the next round. I went with the buccatini pasta in a delicious carbonate sauce...oh boy! For dinner, oh yes, I wanted more pasta. I ordered that Parpadelle pasta in a lamb ragu...delicious!!!! I really enjoy everything about Copper Hill. I went for the first time back in September and visited again with 5 of my friends last weekend. The inside of the restaurant is cozy and rustic. You don't feel like you're at a restaurant but more so almost inside of an old yet beautiful victorian home. I've never dined at a restaurant with this kind of a vibe. My go to drink there is the smoked out (with a salt rim). The drink is like it's name, smokey and tangy. Something to note, they can accommodate to vegans which is a huge win (cause of a lot of restaurants still have yet to - or still have yet to do a good job of it) Since I've been here twice I'll write what I've tried Apps - shishito peppers: can be spicy, great aioli with it - devils on horseback (bacon wrapped dates stuffed with almonds and blue cheese?): too sweet for my liking - ramen cacio e pepe: really good, good size - grilled octopus: nice and charred and flavorful - crispy brussels sprouts: a side, but big enough to be an app - nice and crispy, some of the best we've ever had - raclette potatoes: also a side, but really yummy Dinner: -sea scallops: scallops were really good, I personally like mine overcooked and borderline burnt, so I wasn't a fan of the texture but it was still delicious -crab bucatini: not our favorite, it's a thick noodle dish and I felt like it lacked flavor -crispy sweet potato: didn't try this personally but everyone who did enjoyed it! -fresh pappardelle w/ lamb bolognese: everyone enjoyed this, yummy and filling -hanger steak: I love this dish, the steak is soft and the glaze is delicious I tried their donuts in the past and they were delicious. This place is a gem and so glad we found it!! We always love places that offer seasonal menus as it allows you to enjoy the freshest meals. We always gravitate towards those items too. We have had some great octopus, snapper and mushroom polenta here to name a few. Bacon wrapped dates are always a classic in my book so you can never go wrong! My friend and I ordered the breakfast poutine and chicken sandwich to share which was more than enough food to share between two people. The drinks here are good and the food is tasty, nothing to complain about. They have a separate area to host events which would definitely be useful for me in the future. Had an amazing double date here the other night, as recommended by friends who live in the neighborhood, and I would put this place up there as one of the top restaurants on Long Island, next to Prime in Huntington. The setup of the restaurant is built in a 3 story house, which looks beautiful from the outside, and the inside has been totally renovated as told to me by friends. Very hip, upscale vibe, something you would find in SoHo style, tables are well set and the clientele is young and vibrant. The hostesses and server were very friendly and polite. The drink menu had some really great choices, I live with Bourbon, Whiskey and Scotch so I got the Bitter Drink and the Fruity Whiskey Drink, I recommend the Bitter one for those that like a good kick of spirits. I got food poisoning after I came here for dinner. I don't have any allergies or underlying conditions. I don't mean to bring down the business, but I would strongly suggest for the staff and management to look into the food and cleanliness of the restaurant because this is unacceptable. Food was mediocre at best and a bit overpriced. The Ramen Cacio E Pepe I ordered was doused in oil. I also ordered a coconut pie dessert, which was okay, but the crust tasted a bit dry. The menu is very limited on what can be ordered. Overall, nothing was really memorable. Been wanting to try this place for a long time. Especially since it's got quite the reviews! Was finally here for dinner with a girlfriend of mine whom also wanted to try it. Overall dinner was superb. One kink was the Atlantic Halibut entree my friend ordered. She felt it was overcooked and dry so we sent it back. They made another one in place of it and it was better. Management made no fuss and believe me, I would never send food back. That's not how I roll, but with the price tag, you best believe it needed to be corrected. Everything else we ordered was top notch. - burrata with snap peas, mint and lemon (no mint detected but forgiven as the snap peas and sprouts they put on top worked so well). Just a beautifully plated appetizer. The snap peas were fresh and sweet. The bursts burrata was outstanding. - crab and lemon aioli toast - really good chunks of meat and they didn't skimp. A gentle drizzle of lemon aioli let the crab speak for itself. Very good. - side veggie: mushrooms with polenta - generous portions of mushroom and the polenta was creamy but not too heavy. Best to eat it hot and on the same day (I did doggy bag the rest as we couldn't finish but it was way better that meal) - entree: scallops - perfectly seared on top side. Served over a sweet peas puree and sprouts. Very green...a little too much puree for me especially having the scallops sitting on top of it. I would have preferred a lighter touch or even the side space presentation. I love scallops and that's the main... So the focal point of this dish was that. Fresh, light and sweet.. Excellent. - the Halibut was a miss for my friend but the baby artichokes were well prepared. Good texture and flavor. I liked the crispy sweet potato like chip topping served on it as well. - dessert was a recommendation by our waitress, the chocolate mousse. It was a surprise presentation, came deconstructed if you will. I expected a stacked or compacted appearance. This was a plate of chocolate mousse spread on two sides of the plate, then topped with hazelnuts and brownie brittle. It was very good. I'm not a big sweet dessert person so this was perfect. My husband and I loved the brunch so much last month that we decided to have Valentine's weekend dinner at Copperhill. When our friends who had brunch with us last month heard we were coming back they made us change our reservation so we could double date. The experience starts as soon as you walk in the door! Being greeted so warmly is such a rare thing to find. We feel like we are being welcomed into someone's home. The place looks even more beautiful at night! Brendan helped us and he was just great. So friendly and attentive as is everyone at Copperhill. The food...just wonderful. Everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered the blistered shishito peppers again because they are just a favorite! My short ribs with polenta and root veggies was just a warm hug in a bowl, just so tasty and such a nice portion. Oh let me not forget the PORK BUNS! Best appetizer I have had in a very long time...I was not happy to share, I wanted all that deliciousness for myself! Excellent brunch in a comfortable atmosphere. It was the first day of the new menu so when I asked the waitress what people love she said probably what was carried over from the last menu! I had the Huevos Rancheros, which was delicious. My friend had the Eggs Benedict which was served on avocado toast. We started the meal with buttermilk biscuits and jam - decadent! I made a reservation for brunch and my friend and I were promptly seated once we arrived. We ordered the devil on horseback (stuffed dates wrapped in bacon) it was delicious. My pork belly eggs Benedict was good and my friend had the huevos rancheros. She liked it but said would have been better if there was more chorizo on it but overall she enjoyed her dish too. I would rate Copperhill a 2 out of 5 stars. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice and relaxing, but for the cost, it was definitely not worth it. My dad got scallops for over $30, and it only came with four bite-sized pieces. I ordered the duck breast, which came with mixed vegetables and was okay, but you could get better duck in Chinatown. For $36 and such a small portion, it wasn't worth it. The waitress didn't even give me a steak knife to cut it, and it was very tough to cut. My sister ordered the steak, which was $38 and came with a few bite-sized pieces. My mom ordered the salmon, which seemed the best. I tried it, and it was very good and a decent portion. It was $30. We also ordered the fig and arugula salad to split, and it was rather bland. We ordered fries, which were standard and nothing special. We also ordered these beef tacos - forgot what they called it - and it came with four tortillas, but they stacked one tortilla on top of the other and put the beef on only two, which indicates laziness. The bread was good, but it wasn't cut for us, and we had to cut it ourselves. For such an expensive place, they should at least do these things for you. Nice place, but the bill came out to be over $230, including tip, for the four of us, for very small portions and mediocre food. Not worth it. read more

I took my gf here for her passing the bar celebration. I wrote what we were celebrating for on the Opentable reservation, so as soon as we sat down and were situated, our waiter came over with 2 glasses of champagne and congratulated her on the accomplishment. I am crazy for Copperhill! Before arriving, I remember going through their menu and not knowing how I was about to stuff three appetizers and three entrees into me and my buddy's two stomachs, because everything just sounded sooo good! We were seated for our 8pm reservation, and the restaurant was bustling on a weekend night. The vibe is intimate and romantic, perfect for a date or a girls' night. The staff was all so friendly, and gave great feedback on menu recommendations. The cocktails were all pretty good, my favorite being the bee's knees. For apps, we decided on their poutine and grilled octopus. The poutine is probably better for a bigger group, so that you can finish it while it's hot and toasty. The grilled octopus was fatty and delicious. Onto entrees, I was so already so impressed at this point but they hit me with the most delicious scallop dish I've ever tasted. I only have good things to say about this restaurant! I've been here a couple of times and have really enjoyed each time. I went here tonight with two of my girlfriends for dinner. We started with the octopus which was fantastic. For dinner I got the steak which was cooked to perfection and delicious! I 100% recommend the crispy brussel sprouts for a side because they were incredible and possibly my favorite part of the meal! Our waitress and (I'm assuming) manager were very attentive, frequently checking in and making sure we have everything we needed and are enjoying ourselves. When I made the reservation it allowed me to select the occasion (it was two of our birthdays) and they surprised us with a tasting of sparkling wine! Even a side of roasted cauliflower costs $20 ... beats me! We had a fancy takeout meal for the holidays, which included the grilled octopus, prime steak, sea scallops, lamb pappardelle and raclette potatoes. Besides the latter (they used some stinky cheese on the potatoes that really ruined it for us), everything else was divine!! You can tell by the texture of the pasta that they were homemade and the freshness of the scallops and octopus were unbeatable. For the food - just okay at best honestly. To start, we ordered the grilled octopus which looked very appealing when looking at it. The grilled octopus was very bland without much flavor. We then ordered the hummus + flatbread which just was average at best. For the main course we all ordered the hanger steak that came with the brussels sprout hash. The steak was good but not great and the hash was okay. Overall, the food here lacked flavor. Cocktails were excellent though!
