Beautifully located inside the silver cloud hotel on Point Ruston. The inside was beautifully decorated perfect for brunch with the girls, it is super photogenic. It was very busy and noisy which was not a problem for me but something to consider if you're looking for a calmer atmosphere. My girlfriends and I stayed for over two hours and did not feel rushed to leave. I tried the eggs Benedict and it was amazing I already have my next reservation booked for Mother's Day read more

I'll start with the bad: the blazing watermelon cocktail I had, tasted so synthetic, it basically made me feel quesy. So, steer clear! The middle banquet bench seats aren't very enjoyable/peaceful to sat at, so try and get yourself into a booth. The good: service is perfect. And the food is YUM. Definitely the highest quality food I've tasted thus far in Tacoma. Fresh, hand made pasta a lite gourmet beet salad all breakfast items Expensive, beyond a shadow of a doubt but if you want to feel classy while treating yourself, this is the place to do it. read more

I would give this place 10 starts for my first experience here. My husband and I were not expecting to come here. We initially had intended to go to another restaurant close by. We ran into a friend that recommended this place. I was very much scared we would get treated badly because we were wearing casual clothes. We were greeted right away and the young lady at the front was very nice. Our waiter was super down to earth and answered our questions before ordering. He was very easy to talk to. BEST customer service I have ever had in a restaurant like this. No snobs here! There menu is limited but very tasty. Food is AMAZING! Great flavors and quality food. A great place for a date night. The views of the water and sunset are beautiful. You can see Mt Rainier from the windows. We will be going back! So happy we got to experience this place. Shout out to Dylan our server. You are one of a kind. Keep up the great work! It's people like you that makes people like me feel welcome at these kind of restaurants. It's because of Dylan I will be coming back! read more

Copper and Salt Northwest Kitchen - Start vacation off right - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Ruston, Washington

Full disclosure, we never even tried the food. First my party of 8 parked in the parking garage and went to the restaurant. Once we were all seated. We asked about validation and they said they don't do that. What? Literally every other business on the waterfront does. Instead we had to go move all our vehicles so their valet could park them. Ok, well inconvenient but ok. Next we sat down. Menu prices were expensive and portion sizes looked small. The ambiance of the restaurant was great. I happened to notice at the bottom of the menu that they WONT split checks for parties of 6 or more. Instead we were told to walk to the movie theater and get cash from an ATM because they do not have one on site. So we walk and lo and behold, the movie theater does not have an ATM. Luckily there was a bank not far away. So now I've left the restaurant twice in order to actually eat there. For what expensive prices and small portions? We ended up leaving. Simply not worth the effort. read more

If I could give more than 5 stars I would gladly do so. Booked a reservation for my Grandson and his wife. Carlos went out of his way to make their whole experience memorable from the food to the great service. A huge thank you to the entire staff. Terry Adams read more

I went here on a double date with my husband and our friends on a Saturday night. THEY OFFER FREE VALET PARKING but do not validate Ruston public parking!!! We didn't know this and paid to walk blocks to the restaurant so our loss is your gain. The menu changes every so often with fresh, locally sourced (I believe) ingredients, which is awesome! Just be aware that this of course affects the price. The pasta dishes were the cheapest entrées at an average of $25-27 each, and the main plates were upwards of $40 each. The food was quite delicious, including the Caesar salad and the giant appetizer meatballs! Everyone was happy with their food, but we probably wouldn't come back except on a special occasion just since it is a bit of a splurge. The ambiance was somewhat lacking -- modern vibes with lots of concrete and bright white lights in industrial-looking fixtures, a great view even at night, and comfortable seats, but the restaurant as a whole seemed very loud. We could hear everyone's conversations around us and there was no background music. Not a dealbreaker, but something I wouldn't have expected to contend with... I did see a previous review about the volume and honestly thought that it had to be overexaggerated but it wasn't! read more

Only choice of food attached to hotel. Mediocre. Often out of ingredients but they don't tell you when you order. So good received is not always what is described on menu. Wish they provided a room service option with joined hotel. Pain in the butt to walk down and pick up food read more

Service good. Food not do much. Cold French Toast, Cold potatoes (and neither were good) and warm eggs Benedict. Won't go back.

Atmosphere is beautiful! Views are gorgeous. Staff is nice and friendly. I had the lamb and it was delicious! Been here for breakfast before and was very pleased with dishes. Definitely recommend. read more

After further asking about they do take outdoor brunch reservations on the weekend. After ordering we asked to validate parking and they said they don't. (Nowhere does it say this nor did anyone tell us). This place is a joke. Don't recommend. Can also confirm like other reviewers the service was pretty bad. Never had water refilled or asked if I wanted that, ran out of toast and breakfast but neglected to tell us. We had to ask after our food came out. Pancakes, a salad, and eggs took 50 minutes. I get it they are understaffed and didn't go into review (tho it didn't help). Food was really solid if unspectacular and probably would have warranted 4 stars but for all the shenanigans. read more

We celebrated my birthday here and had an amazing meal. The burrata was delicious, fresh, and served with seasonal stone fruits. The focaccia was served with a savory butter that I could not stop eating. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection. The meatballs were sturdy and served with a perfect marinara. The salmon was flaky and fresh. The donuts for desert were the perfect sweet ending to a spectacular meal! We will be back! read more

They catered our planning meeting for our company and the meal was wonderful. Super clean conference room with comfortable seating. Every time I stepped out the door there was a weight staff member present to assist us in anything we needed. The salmon was phenomenal, and the eggplant Parmesan was perfect. Definitely a go to place with a beautiful environment. read more

They just opened a week or so ago, so the menu is a bit limited. The food was delicious. We had the Caesar Salad--it was enough for two people to share. We also had the Foccaccia. Quite tasty. They have a patio that abuts the kids water spray park, so it is a bit noisy, but expected. There is plenty of inside seating with views, also. Our server was very friendly. read more

Food was good but not great for the $150 per plate. Service was also good but not great for the higher price point. View was nice.

I really want to like this place. The restaurant is beautiful and the service is amazing. The food is terrible.

It is a nice restaurant in the hotel. I had meatballs and Caesar salad and my husband had steak and potatoes. The food was very tasty. We have been to most restaurants in Point Ruston and I would say this is best for unique delicious choices. I wish they had military discount (they don't), but it was nice talking to the Waiter! He was very friendly. read more

I'm struggling too find a way to wrap up my experience here and all I keep coming back to is disappointment. The food is just underwhelming. The price point does not match the quality which is one of my biggest pet peeves. Biggest issue for me, however, was the service. My husband planned a surprise birthday dinner for me here and 9 of our closest friends. We also had a room at the hotel so the convenience along with the view and the seemingly delightful food should have made for a perfect combination, but it was far from it. Issue number one, I ordered a glass of wine and finished it about 1/3 of the way through our time there and no one ever returned to ask if I would like another drink...which I very much did and would have gladly ordered another two but that service was not there. Issue number three, I ordered the catch of the day which was a red snapper served over a yogurt with couscous. Man, this meal was bad. The fish was dry and over cooked I couldn't even cut it. I would have needed a steak knife to get through it (which I did not have, and could not ask for because no one was ever around to ask for things) but as it were I had to work my way through it rather roughly with a butter knife. Needless to say I did not finish it. We were tucked away by the kitchen and could not enjoy the gorgeous view which seems to be the best part of the restaurant, another disappointment. The staff also brought another tables order (starters) to our table and didn't notice until the 9th plate was set down on the table. They would not split the check so we had one big bill close to $900 after the required 20% tip (which they in no way earned, terrible service). Over all again all I can say is i was severely disappointed by the entire experience and I can't think of anything that would bring me back and I was really looking forward to making a wonderful memory here for my birthday. So much potential and it just misses the mark, what a waste. We ended up going upstairs to our gorgeous hotel room afterward and ordering pizza (after we had just spent $900 on a lackluster dinner downstairs) if that gives you any idea just how terrible it was) The two stars is purely for the ambience, view, and delicious wine. read more

Very disappointing- this is the absolute most gorgeous place. The food was mostly awful. And there was a lot of food we ordered- no one was happy. Just no depth of flavors no seasoning. Really too bad because so much potential if food was better. read more

I've been wanting to come here for a while. Inside the Silver Cloud Hotel sits this beautiful, modern restaurant. Has fantastic views of Ruston, Mount Rainier and all the fun activities going on. The food was all very delicious and prepared differently than I've had before. The only reasons why I'm not giving this 5 stars is because we tried to make reservations online and couldn't find any available. We decided to take the risk and see if we could get in- and glad we did- but was later told by the waitress that management turned off allowing reservations. (They weren't busy at all.) Secondly, I was freezing the entire time when sitting in a booth next to the window. So, if you don't do well with cold air I'd suggest sitting at the bar or an inside table where the vents aren't pounding down on you. Enjoy! read more

I went for my anniversary and it was an excellent experience. With the weather heating up, we ate at the patio and it was very beautiful. There's very easy access to the splash pad for the little ones to wander off to play while parents enjoyed dinner and drinks. It's a really high quality place with great food with thoughtful menu selections. There's also free valet when you have a dinner reservation which is a massive perk because parking can be a little annoying in this very busy area. read more

Really impressed with their lunch! This place is course has a beautiful view with its location and the restaurant is very sexy and swanky. The host and managers around were very friendly and 1 of our 2 servers was friendly and accommodating! I had the caprese sandwich and fries, the sandwich was solid but omg the fries were delicious!!!!!! The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because our server was not friendly and seamed almost irritated we were there... sad since this was my sister's graduation lunch so it should have been a fun time! read more

I had that avocado and beet salad, later realized there were no beets on the salad. The flatbread was made with bread that tasted like it was meant for a yeast roll. The spaghetti was AMAZING. White sauce with thick cut bacon! And do not skip The focaccia bread!

Locally sourced food and delicious! I highly recommend the Bravocado Toast which had fresh avocados lathered on rustic bread with roasted tomatoes, arugula, parmesan and pickled onions! The flatbread Bianco with roasted mushrooms and smoked mozzarella was divine! My associate enjoyed the breakfast burrito which included scrambled eggs, ham, peppers, homemade salsa and onions. Our brunch was amazing and so was the service. The waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and very efficient. The restaurant is clean and the view of Puget Sound was spectacular! read more

Wow!!! What a wonderful evening. My guy and I decided to walk around point Ruston and to try a new place for date night the other night. We decided to try out Copper and Salt and let me tell you, we were not disappointed. Starting with the valet parking so we didn't have to find a spot lol It is absolutely beautiful inside. We were sat with a an amazing lady named shagay (spelling). She asked if we have ever been here and if we were celebrating anything. She led us through the drinks and menu with ease. My guy is a whiskey drinker and she recommended the "never too early" and he absolutely loved it. Dinner, she recommended the lamb chops and halibut. Everything was so delicious and full of flavor. She knew it was date night. She knew exactly when to let us have our time but also knew when to be personable and joke around with us and engage in conversation. We will definitely be back because of her!!!! Thank you so much for making such a memorable night. I can not wait to be back. read more

I've been coming here a lot for brunch recently and the first time I went eveything was great from the food to the service. But the last two times I have been here my table has been forgotten and our food has been less than top quality. This last time was the last straw as several things happened. No one came to refill our waters the entire time, the food was subpar specifically the eggs Benedict as the sauce was sour, our table ordered vanilla and caramel lattes and they forgot the flavorings in all three, and the waitress spilled one of the lattes on the table and said they would clean it up but just brought a new saucer so there was still coffee on the table the whole time. The experience is no longer worth the hefty price tag and I will not be returning for a long time. read more

Super pleasant place to eat with a great view of the water. We had breakfast as we were staying at the hotel but it'd probably be a good choice for a special occasion dinner too. The staff were attentive, the menu choices a nice range. Very happy with the experience. read more

Great atmosphere and wonderful place to have brunch. Nice menu selection. I had the omelette. It was fluffy and delicious!

We had a nice family dinner here. Great pasta and wine selections and phenomenal views. Super strange ending to the night- the valet freaked out on my family and started yelling at people and throwing things. He was upset we "didn't have a room number" and lost his mind. Kept saying there are policies and people need to follow them. We told him we'd eaten dinner at the restaurant but he didn't care. The manager came down, didn't do much, and we left with him still screaming. We nearly didn't get two cars returned to us. So confused by this night and will not be returning as it felt very unsafe. read more
