I had a great experience here, as an out-of-towner! The weather here in Farmers Branch is fairly mild for March, so I'm NOT looking for watering holes or a lot of shade for me or my Poodle & Doodle. This park has a section for large and small dogs under 30 pounds. I always bring my toy poodle where my GoldenDoodle goes - he's used to giant of dogs and stays close to me, as he's 8 years old and doesn't play much. I just love the space my #50 Doodle had to run around! It's simple and clean and from what it looks like, a safe part of town. There's a daycare next door - and I didn't see any weirdos around! This will probably be my go-to park, until I find something else comparable. read more

Great dog park if you're looking for your dog to expel some energy! I have a smedium (small medium) pup so I try to get him out and about for socialization. There never seems to be any smaller dogs at this park so we usually end up venturing to the big dog side and thats where the action is! Owners seem to be pretty good with keeping an eye on their pups and intervening as needed. I've only been here on weekend mornings and theres usually a good crowd and heard that a lot of people frequent here after work as well when it's cooling off. All in all, a solid dog park for those in Coppell and Valley Ranch! read more

This is not one of the best dog parks but its do-able. The area lacks outdoor stuff for pets, this is what you get unless you go to Southlake. When it rains, it gets muddy. I like that its separated for big and little dogs. There is even a mini park nearby for little children. There are benches to sit on but it gets crowded. Sometimes you have to stand. read more

This dog park is spacious and fun. There will be few muddy puddles for your pup to roll in (the worst) because it's kept clean and grass-y. There are big boulders for humans to sit on and chat with another human. And easy parking near the dog parks entrance. Some things to note: -It's located on the edge of Coppell and Irving/Las Colinas so you can definitely stop by even if you don't live in Coppell -There is little shade so beware of hot summer afternoons here -The water fountain sometimes doesn't work When visiting DFW, I will definitely be coming again with my pup! read more

I've been to this location three times. All 3 times had incredibly attentive and friendly owners, and the dogs personalities that matched! My pup loves coming to this park and I love taking her to this park. I have yet to have a bad experience here and hope that the owners continue to be fantastic. My 5 star rating is purely based on the fact that owners are attentive to their pets. The park could increase their lighting as the one light only goes so far when the sun goes down. Yay! Finally! This is a cute little dog park. Although it doesn't drain as well as the park in Lewisville it's suitable for your pooch. Bring your own water bowl and please don't park in the church parking lot. Saturday mornings are very crowded when there's a baseball game going on. read more

Pretty nice park, and a good size! There is a small dog area and a large dog area. There is lots of room for the dogs to run around and there always seems to be quite a few dogs out playing. I also liked that they had trash cans scattered around, not just one by the gate like some other parks I have been to, it made cleaning up after my dog easier and not such a long walk out of the way where I cannot keep as much of an eye on her. Overall I would recommend this park, you may want to bring your own water though as there is just one small fountain by the shade area and the dogs all seem to like to hang out on the other side of the park. read more

We've been checking out dog parks in the area and simply weren't impressed with this one in particular. It is separated large and small, which is typical of dog parks. The biggest flaw is how small both areas are and how uninspired: it's simply an area of flat land, grass. Like someone's yard. Someone could just put a fence around their yard and call it a dog park. In contrast, I mention that, because Flower Mound's dog park has hills, trees, a wooded area, etc. Plus, their fountains for the dogs actually work. read more

I was visiting from out of town and needed somewhere for my dog to run around and get some energy out. The weather was a bit hot but there was a covered spot for me to sit while he ran around with the other dogs. The other dog owners also seem respectful and responsible which can be hard to find these days. read more

We've been coming here since December and it is the most fantastic magical place! All your worries from work will melt away with the help of furry friends and sweet community members! Everyone should come visit if you're in the Coppell/Valley Ranch area it's a great place and the dogs are always nice even though some people forget that they are in fact DOGS. We have two smaller dogs a rat terrier mix and a hefty pug, and since they have the park split off between big and small with 30lbs being the breakpoint we usually visit the small park. Some dogs are more dominant, some submissive, some vocal, some nervous, but usually if the owners can manage to keep their cool, the dogs all have a great time together and I've never seen anything unusual happen! Family, close friends, and family friends always go here to have some time bonding with our cute dog friends. I see Coppell dog park as a wonderful place for our pet dogs to roam around, run under the sun and enjoy themselves. It's even more wonderful to see a lot of people bringing out their dogs to enjoy an hour or two. It just truly melts my heart to see a community who shows heartfelt sweetness to their pet dogs. This is also a place where dogs can bond with each other and "talk" using their language. It's in fact their free day to just enjoy. Both dogs and dog owners can have a great time staying around the park. It may be unusual for some people who don't have pets, but for us, this is a good time for all of us! Coppell has a dog park! Everyone is always nice there. Of course, they are all dog owners, so how could they not be great. Water fountains were not turned on. So make sure you bring enough water to share since a lot of folks didn't know this. There seemed to be very few jerks that bring their aggressive dogs, then ignore them as they fight with every dog in the place (I've only run into two of these, one of which didn't have tags). But hopefully, Coppell will have animal control stop by every once in a while and slap some hefty fines on untagged dogs. read more

This is a great dog park to come to! There isn't much shade though, so I wouldn't suggest coming here when it's very hot outside. They have a drinking fountain for the dogs which I really like. My pet and I enjoyed our day at the dog park. The park itself is real spacious with seperate sections for big & small dogs. There are a few benches for dog owners to sit while their dogs interact with other dogs and also a fountain for the dogs. Overall experience was excellent! Fairly nice park, unfortunately there are some large vicious dogs in the large dog section - a handful so it's hit and miss...Further, while most folks are nice, there are some pretty disgusting, guttural aggressive individuals ... and that, combined with the handful of vicious (large) dogs, makes this on the edge of being a reliable, happy, safe place to visit. read more

Great new dog park! This park has two areas; one of large dogs and one for small dogs. Both areas have water fountains for both people and dogs. I've only spent time in the large dog area, but the grass is always well taken care of and there is plenty of space for your dog to run. Bags for waste disposal are available and there are a few benches for sitting. I read on one of their Facebook posts that your dog had to be registered in the city you live, so I made sure to do that before we visited. However, I've never been asked for any identification or proof. Keep in mind that the water will be shut off if it's been below freezing and the park could be closed after rain. Update: I've seen on their Facebook page that the water fountains will be shut off November 15-March 15 due to freezing potential. Make sure to bring a bowl and water for your pups during this time! read more

This is a really good size dog park! Even with 20-30 dogs there, we still had room to play fetch with our Australian shepherd. They have two sections, one for small dogs and one for large dogs (30+ lbs). The only complaint I would have is that I would like more seating and maybe some tables. Great place for your dogs to run around! They have a spacious space for both small and bigger dogs. There are benches for people to sit around and water fountains for dogs as well. Maybe it was the time of year but there was a large puddle of very dirty and very smelly water along with gnats and mosquitos and the grass was overgrown. Normally I go to the dog park in Irving which is better maintained. Doubt that I'll ever go back. read more

This place is awesome! I'm so glad I finally went and checked it out. It's close to the house, and they have separate sections for large and small dogs. They have benches for you to sit if you get tired, and I think they had a water fountain there as well. Only thing is I had to watch where I step because there was dog poo in some of the areas. I wish people would pick up after their dogs because it ruins it for others. One of the people that I met there said they are closed on Wednesdays so they can cut the grass and clean up. If you're looking for a nice area to let your dog run around, this is the place! read more

This place is cool. There's a Water Fountain for the dogs. I like that the park is bigger than the one in Addison. Just watch out for a couple hidden water spots in the grass as you get further out in the field you may get a shoe full of water. read more
