My boyfriend and I were looking for a nice area to take the dog with a lake shoreline for her hop in. I had saved this spot a year ago but finally got around to going. It's just over the bridge past the Gaylord so it's a hit of a hidden gem. Such a nice spot! $10 parking fee, but otherwise you can bring your own food, drinks, chairs, etc. Staff was friendly and recommended areas to go to. There's 6 coves with picnic tables and parking at each. We haven't explored the trails yet but they have a full trail of 23 miles and they break out into 2-3 mile loops. We brought our Tommy Bahama chairs and some drinks and enjoyed the nice weather. It was such a nice spot we saw an engagement! They close at 6:30 / 15 min after sunset

It's $10 per car to get in, so pack your front seat, your back seat, and your trunk with all of your friends and get a bargain! It's a very nice park near the dam with great lake views. It's good for hiking, picnicking, and they even have kayak and paddle board rentals. There appears to be an "unofficial" swimming area, but I was there in the dead of winter, so I didn't tempt fate and can't provide comments on that. (no camping or boat ramps in this park if you are looking for that) Several reviews mentioned a lot of litter, but I didn't see any litter in the park or along the trails. The trails are fun, with beautiful scenery and plenty of lakeshore views. I would consider the trails *slightly* "moderate." The hiking trail features moderate elevation changes but not overwhelmingly so. The trail connects this park to another park, so if you do your research you might be able to hit the trails for FREE (I saw a couple of free parking areas with access to the trails). Be aware that there are *TONS* of mountain bikers on these trails. The trails are designed to be "one-way" trails. After speaking with several bicyclists though, I received differing opinions regarding which direction hikers should be going. I tried going the same direction as the bikers and also tried going against traffic. I'll be honest, as a hiker I felt a LOT safer going against the biking traffic. There are many curves and hills here and if you aren't watching your back constantly, you risk being run over (if you are a hiker).

$10 for vehicle entry at the front entrance but definitely worth the money if you make a day out of it. Views were beautiful and it wasn't crowded in the morning. Trails both lake side and bike trails were fun to hike. Lots of activities can be done there: kayak rentals (see website for prices), paddle boarding, picnics, biking, swimming, etc. Nice to have a nature getaway so close. Looking forward to my next visit!

I'll start with the good things. There are 7 private coves (with parking, shaded picnic tables and a small beach area). I would recommend to come on a weekday early in the morning if you want some privacy and keep social distance with other groups. For 10$ per car this is a gem. There are so many things you can do such as kayaking, peddle boarding or fishing! Just many fun activities you can during summer! The only downside! It is quite dirty! Lots of trash in the water, outside of the water although I have seen maintenance going around picking up waste. I just don't get it, why ppl. have to leave trash behind! Unless you are physically incapable to use your eye hand coordination and pick up your water bottle, napkin or bottle caps I would say you are pretty selfish, rude and ignorant! Such a shame! This is such a nice spot to spend the day with your family and just have fun but the amount of trash everywhere makes me not want to come back during summer break! Maybe wait until it calms a little down after summer break.

Can be better, downhill since 10 yrs ago. More people throw garbage and no cleaning. Even with today's $20 entrance fee.

Great Place for Little Trekking, Kayaking , Jogging and awesome for photoshoots. The park is huge with well established roads to park at different locations with Restrooms and seating areas which offers good view of lake. Here for my friends gender reveal party and the pics came out great. Entrance is $5 for car , 1$ for bikes.Open from 8am till sunset. For professional photoshoots you need pay $50, which is bit costly.

We LOVE our times at the Jackson Pavilion at Rockledge Park! We are a church group and sometimes it's just good to get outdoors! The pavilion offers plenty of space and shade, lots of seating, is always clean, and offers a beautiful view of Lake Grapevine. And, there is plenty of parking. Once our worship service is over, many people love to stay after to picnic, kayak and enjoy the day. We are so glad this place exists (and is quite affordable for a group such as ours). We look forward to being there again!

We absolutely loved coming here to see pretty water views. Our dog loved bounding up and down the rocks. We bought an annual membership for $60 and used it multiple times. The pass sticker is only valid for one vehicle. If you want a second car pass sticker the fee is an additional $20. It was totally worth it in order to see pretty sunsets over the lake.

I was surprised that parks abutting Grapevine Lake are charge for entrance. It certainly has very scenic rocky environs and I would say $5 is not unreasonable.

I want to know where the money we paid for entry fees go? This park was trashed! It was so disturbing, I've never been to a park this filthy with litter.

Beautiful Sunsets at Rockledge Park. North Shore Trails are the Best hiking trails in the DFW area!

Nice park on the NE shore of Grapevine Lake. Beautiful sunsets. 4 stars for the trash consistently littering the shoreline. C'mon!

Andy Brown is a beautiful space, from the pond to the open fields, the sidewalk/bike path, multiple large pavilions, and fun playground. There are large, mature trees surrounding the park. We parked in the wrong lot and had to walk alongside the gym in order to get to the playground and I couldn't believe how beautiful the pathways were with all the trees and the small creek running alongside. Not what I expected from a city park! The playground itself ("Kid Country") is almost fully enclosed and is a sprawling assortment of things to climb up, swing on, and slide down. There is a play area in the toddler section with storefronts to spark pretend play. The ground is bark. There are large trees in the center of the play area that provide shade and make the play structure look more natural than your typical playground. Almost like a tree house. There are benches scattered throughout the play area and a large covered pavilion with multiple picnic tables underneath. The city of Coppell provides free WiFi there and there were multiple moms with laptops out, working, while their kids played. The only big negative is the distance from the playground to the bathroom. I understand that they probably built the bathrooms more toward the center of the park, but the wise choice would have been to also put an additional small restroom right next to the playground. It's too far of a walk for me to feel comfortable sending my younger kids over there alone and it's kind of a bummer to have to wrangle together the entire group every time one kid has to pee. Otherwise, a fabulous park. LOVE IT. Hats off to you, Coppell!

One of the best baseball fields to play at in my opinion out of several other locations we've been to. Covered bleacher seating for guests and room for your own chairs if you choose to sit closer to the baseline areas on each side (home and visitor). Clean bathrooms and just overall, the park areas are well kept. Amazing playground for kids/players to hang out. Fields are labeled to find easier. Amazing concession with fresh grilled food you can order (burgers, sausage on a stick, etc). We also had the opportunity to visit and play at the Softball Complex fields. Very nice fields and a batting cage area before the main entrance (on the small parking lot side). At these fields the sun comes in way more even with some of the covered bleacher seating (Bring your portable fans, stadium chairs for convenience, small cooler, etc.). Not as much room for your own chairs at these fields like the other baseball fields. Some of our team parents sat behind the last row of bleachers, near the trash cans so it was kinda tight. Plus when people walk back and forth it can get more crowded. There are also small areas with turf next to the bleachers that is good for bringing blankets to sit/lay (good area for smaller kids, teens and even adults if you like the picnic style type of seating/vibe.

In any case, there were probably about 15 dinosaurs in total. Visitors follow a path at their own pace to view each dinosaur. There is also a small dig area and a staff member walking around with a baby dino the kids can pet. Our first loop through prehistoric park took about 15 minutes. We splashed and swam a bit in the lake and then returned for another quick loop through the dinosaur trail before heading home. Overall, it's a pleasant activity and definitely a kid-pleaser. My children ages 1-9 all enjoyed it. The problem is the cost. $29 is just WAYYYY too high for what this is. Part of me thinks the city of Grapevine should just continue to charge the regular entrance fee into Meadowmere Park and use the dinosaur exhibit as a way to increase traffic into the park during the off-season. We for sure will not be returning to the park until the exhibit is over and the entrance fee returns to a more reasonable rate.
