This is a cute and nice park! With the exception of the public restroom needing to be cleaned, the grounds were very clean and manicured. Lots for the kiddos to do and tables for seating. There is a nice pavilion area with shelter that can be used for a medium sized event.

This park rivals Southlake's Bicentennial Park in both size, variety of playground equipment, and FUN. My kids say it's better, but no need to choose favorites: visit both! There is SO MUCH to do at this park. Slides, teeter totters, rock climbing areas, swings, and more. The design of the structure just begs for imaginative play: there's a train and a school house and lots of hidden areas for kids to explore and play. A few notes: 1. The toddler area is separate from the bigger kid area. This is no problem for me because my toddler is used to running around with the big kids and I just sit on a bench and read anyway, but helicopter moms with kids of different ages may find the separation complicates their hovering. 2. There is no bench in the whole playground which offers a vantage point spanning the entire playground. No matter where you sit, there are blind spots. That being said, the whole area is fenced in and there is only one entrance and exit, so no need to worry. If your kid is a wanderer, plant yourself by the exit and rest easy. 3. The splash pad area is separate from the playground. I read it should reopen JUNE 1. Cross our fingers! The separation is a big plus: parents who don't want their kids getting wet can stick to the playground and parents with wet kids don't have to worry about them getting drenched and then rolling in the sandbox (which is a drawback to Bicentennial park, I think). 4. Standard park bathrooms. Neither nice nor gross. 5. Comfortable benches for sitting mothers. Better than most parks. 6. NO SHADE. This is the huge drawback. The splash pad area has a nice big shade structure over it but the playground was neglected in that regard. Go on a cool day or be prepared to roast! Overall, an OUTSTANDING playground that really raises the bar for community parks. Well done, Flower Mound!

This is a great park! They have a ton of fun stuff to do. It's great for hiking, mountain biking, and there is a huge kids play area even with water features. My favorite thing is that they are soon opening this huge outdoor workout area. The whole thing seems like so much fun! I can't wait to come back when that is open. All in all if you want to do a small hike, maybe push your kids in the stroller this is a great spot!

Fort Wildflower. One way in and one way out. Less worry about your kids escaping.

This park has it all! It is so beautiful! There is a little hiking area with trails and lots of trees, a place for sitting and dare I say - Concerts in the park, and there is a GIANT playground full of things to keep children entertained for hours! I came here one day to walk the area with my dog - before I knew that the pooch park was literally a hop, skip, and a jump away and he loved it. There were squirrels that he loved chasing and lots of little spots that had shade for when he got tired. My pup was really into the foresty area and got really excited when we got to go over the bridge near the water feature. The park itself is HUGE. The children's play place - Fort wildflower is super cute. My husband and I met our friend and her son there to play one afternoon and everyone was entertained for hours. Though it was hot, there were places for us to sit and cool down and there were lots of different things to keep the boys entertained. The swing-sets here are AMAZING. I'd highly recommend this place for children. You can let them play in the fort area and not worry about them escaping as there is only one way in and one way out. The idea of concerts in the park here is fabulous. There is tons of room and plenty of space for people to spread out. Lots of opportunity for shade. Good (level / flat) hiking area. When we are not at the hound mound, this is our spot!

Parents beware: Use caution around the concrete surrounding the splash pad. The surface is VERY slippery when wet. Within an hour, we saw 20 kids slip. If you're going to visit the splash pad, bring your child's water shoes.

Concerts in the park. First one was a Journey tribute band. Sound quality was terrible.when I say terrible, I know it's a park. It's outside. But a radio would have sounded better. Now I am back to see if Texas flood sounds any better . . Sceptical. Every Friday in May their is a free concert. as a park goes, it's nice. Paved bike trail, nice equipment. Have some food trucks for concert, haven't tried one yet. Update review in future. They started playing. Sound much better than last Friday. Great Update. Texas Flood rocks.

No wifi. I'm not sure about charging stations but my guess would be no.

It is HUGE - definitely the largest splash pad I've seen in terms of sheer size. It is designed so that the water spouts at the top of the splash pad form a small river that flows down to the lower area, where there are more spouts, plus rocks to climb on and grassy (turf) hills to roll down. My kids like bringing small toys and racing them down the river. The real star here is the shaded observation area for the mamas, though. There is no other park that treats us so well, providing expansive shade tents all the way around the park. There are picnic tables, but for the most part it's BYOC (bring your own chair) - or blanket - and set up shop on the turf, under the shade, in an elevated spot so you can keep an eye on the littles playing below. The bathrooms are new and usually pretty clean, although sometimes they do still smell like a porta potty. The splash pad hours are kind of a bummer, with the water not turning on until 10am. In the peak heat of the summer, we would be there waiting right at 10, but by 12:30 or so the water already felt like bath water - not refreshing and honestly kind of gross. I wish it opened at 8am so we could enjoy it for longer. Now that summer is over, the splash pad is only open on the weekends. They have a super helpful and very clear calendar which posts the hours here: https://www.highlandvillage.org/calendar.aspx?CID=31&showPastEvents=false There is a traditional playground directly adjacent to the splash pad, but it's unremarkable - certainly nothing you'd drive out of your way for. The rest of the park is BEAUTIFUL and well landscaped. I'm not sure what they use that massive pavilion for, but honestly I think it makes a case for a good wedding venue! If you're looking for a splash pad to add to your summer rotation, put this one on the list.

Andy Brown is a beautiful space, from the pond to the open fields, the sidewalk/bike path, multiple large pavilions, and fun playground. There are large, mature trees surrounding the park. We parked in the wrong lot and had to walk alongside the gym in order to get to the playground and I couldn't believe how beautiful the pathways were with all the trees and the small creek running alongside. Not what I expected from a city park! The playground itself ("Kid Country") is almost fully enclosed and is a sprawling assortment of things to climb up, swing on, and slide down. There is a play area in the toddler section with storefronts to spark pretend play. The ground is bark. There are large trees in the center of the play area that provide shade and make the play structure look more natural than your typical playground. Almost like a tree house. There are benches scattered throughout the play area and a large covered pavilion with multiple picnic tables underneath. The city of Coppell provides free WiFi there and there were multiple moms with laptops out, working, while their kids played. The only big negative is the distance from the playground to the bathroom. I understand that they probably built the bathrooms more toward the center of the park, but the wise choice would have been to also put an additional small restroom right next to the playground. It's too far of a walk for me to feel comfortable sending my younger kids over there alone and it's kind of a bummer to have to wrangle together the entire group every time one kid has to pee. Otherwise, a fabulous park. LOVE IT. Hats off to you, Coppell!

In any case, there were probably about 15 dinosaurs in total. Visitors follow a path at their own pace to view each dinosaur. Touching them is prohibited, but you can get pretty much as close as you want to observe and photograph. There is also a small dig area and a staff member walking around with a baby dino the kids can pet. Our first loop through prehistoric park took about 15 minutes. We splashed and swam a bit in the lake and then returned for another quick loop through the dinosaur trail before heading home. Overall, it's a pleasant activity and definitely a kid-pleaser. My children ages 1-9 all enjoyed it. The problem is the cost. $29 is just WAYYYY too high for what this is. Part of me thinks the city of Grapevine should just continue to charge the regular entrance fee into Meadowmere Park and use the dinosaur exhibit as a way to increase traffic into the park during the off-season. We for sure will not be returning to the park until the exhibit is over and the entrance fee returns to a more reasonable rate. If your kid loves dinosaurs and you've never been here, by all means, go, but I'd probably chalk this up to a once in a lifetime activity.

As a parent of a special needs child who is able to run pretty fast I really like the fact that the park is a fairly large distance away from the road. There's plenty of room to fly a kite on a nice day. There's plenty of spots to park in on the concrete lot so parking shouldn't be too bad perhaps even during softball games. There's a fairly new concession stand, covered pavilion and restroom all within one building. The town's website mentioned that the restrooms may not be opened at all times so I wouldn't depend on there being a restroom there. Today it was unlocked so we were able to use it and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was and the fact it was well stocked with much appreciated toilet paper which is always a bonus. There's 5 really nice softball fields each of which has a bleacher stand that has a much appreciated shade over the seats. The fields appear to be well maintained by the town and respected by those who use it. If you are into playing softball chances are it wouldn't be too difficult to find a team to join. Flower Mound Parks & Recreation should have a list of teams who meet at this park if you are curious. The park has two very nice playscapes with wood bark placed around them to soften any falls. There are slides and climbing walls along with a separate swing set. The smaller playscape is designed for younger kids from around 2 up to maybe 5 years old or so. The larger one is made for older children who aren't afraid of heights like my children are. The swing set has swings designed for babies along with the traditional swings we all know and enjoy. Around the play structures there are various rotating toys that kids can climb on and get nice and dizzy from going quickly around in circles. Best of all there are several park benches located close to the playscapes to allow parents to supervise their children while they play. Overall it's a very nice park that Flower Mound has built for everyone to enjoy. We will definitely be back when I need to wear my children out on days they have way too much energy. :)
