Andy Brown Park East - Good morning coppell! - Parks Near Me - Coppell, Texas

This is one of the most well-done parks in the area. I hope the Bedford Boys Ranch took note as they designed their $70 million renovation, but I'm not holding my breath. Andy Brown is a beautiful space, from the pond to the open fields, the sidewalk/bike path, multiple large pavilions, and fun playground. There are large, mature trees surrounding the park. We parked in the wrong lot and had to walk alongside the gym in order to get to the playground and I couldn't believe how beautiful the pathways were with all the trees and the small creek running alongside. Not what I expected from a city park! The playground itself ("Kid Country") is almost fully enclosed and is a sprawling assortment of things to climb up, swing on, and slide down. There is a play area in the toddler section with storefronts to spark pretend play. The ground is bark. There are large trees in the center of the play area that provide shade and make the play structure look more natural than your typical playground. Almost like a tree house. There are benches scattered throughout the play area and a large covered pavilion with multiple picnic tables underneath. The city of Coppell provides free WiFi there and there were multiple moms with laptops out, working, while their kids played. The only big negative is the distance from the playground to the bathroom. I understand that they probably built the bathrooms more toward the center of the park, but the wise choice would have been to also put an additional small restroom right next to the playground. It's too far of a walk for me to feel comfortable sending my younger kids over there alone and it's kind of a bummer to have to wrangle together the entire group every time one kid has to pee. Otherwise, a fabulous park. LOVE IT. Hats off to you, Coppell! read more

I was with my boyfriend for the first time. The park is gorgeous and is the cleanest I have ever seen and I have seen quite a few. The people who take care of this park do a great job of it. This place has a children's playground and aquatic swimming pools too. This park is great for walking, running, and bike riding. We will definitely put this park into our rotation. read more

This park is part of what my husband calls my "park rotation". What I love about this one is the playground is fenced in with one way in and one way out. Most of the play area is shaded by trees, as well as the swings. I bring the kids over here at least once a week. read more

A very nicely developed and popular park in Coppell - it's apparent that the city really invested in this park with several beautiful pavilions, multiple sculptures, playgrounds, footbridges, landscaping, restrooms, lakeside platforms/decks, and nature trails. This park also connects to a longer greenway trail. There is something for everyone to enjoy at this park. The Biggest Perk: The lighted trails are open until 10pm for late-night exercise. read more

AB...you have really stepped it up over the YEARS!! In honor of Earth Day it is time for an update. This is one park that I will always and forever be a fan of. Fast forward from my last review in 2014 to now, the city of Coppell has really made sure that its residents fully enjoy the beauty of this park. It spreads out for miles and miles so whether you are a hiker, biker, rollerblader or runner you will get in a SOLID workout here. There are water fountains spread out throughout as well as air conditioned restrooms. They have a pavilion if you want to picnic and this area is also home to Camp Gladiator as well as other outdoor bootcamps. So be resourceful and look it up online if you want to jump in on some fun. Pretty much any time of day at this park you will find something going on. And not to be missed are the sunrises and/or sunsets that will take your breath away. As you can see I could write a four page letter with my adoration for AB but I will stop right here. Cheers to spring time and getting out more in the sunshine!! read more

This is a great park for exercise, walking and running and it's also very kid friendly. I think this walking and jogging trail is excellent for beginners as there are lots of ways to loop through so someone could easily do half a mile or 5 just depending on the goals of the workout. Today the trails were a bit flooded but with all of the rain I don't see how it could be helped. There is lots of wildlife, a frisbee golf course, sand volleyball and so much more. read more

Lots of paved trail to run on, great looking park, overall an amazing park to walk around, run, bike, or just chill. There are quite a few benches and a main pavilion, bridges, ponds, and it's located right next to the CORE. I sometimes run through Andy Brown in the morning and it's really nice. Bring your kids, your pets, your family and friends and enjoy a nice morning or afternoon at the park - weather permitting of course. read more

Favorite park in the area. Absolutely beautiful. Wide open spaces for everyone. Pavilions to escape the sun. Turtles to watch and ducks to feet. We had a great time with the kids (ages 3 & 5) at Andy Brown Park (East). The playground looks like a giant castle and is very large. There are lots of great, unique climbing elements for the kids to explore. There are also several shaded picnic tables that were clean and a great spot for lunch. read more

My dad helped install the original "Kid Kountry" playground at Andy Brown Park in '92. My brother was 2 and I was 4 at the time of installation. When the playground was completed, each family could bring their kids up and have their handprints imprinted on a brick. Today, I was able to take my 2 year old niece to the same park and show her her 2 year old dada's handprint. It was an extremely special memory for me and I was so happy to see they were still there. We took a cute picture of her putting her hand in her dada's hand and you can see so much of my brother in her in it. Thank you guys for rebuilding it to last another 50+ years and keeping the original builders kids handprints along the sidewalk. read more

Andy Brown is a fantastic facility for soccer! The fields are in fantastic condition - among the best I have seen in the metroplex. The restrooms are very nice by public park standards and air conditioned (!). There are baseball fields, basketball courts, sand volleyball, and a playground. A nice paved trail encircles the park and extends beyond park borders. The only potential negative would be parking. We were here for a tournament and it is obvious if both baseball and soccer were played at the same time, there would be a lack of spots. read more

We recently visited this park in Coppell with our little guy, a 14 month old. Let's just say he had a blast- nuff said! The parents, us, enjoyed the fact that the entire park is covered by shades thanks to the trees. After all, we live in Texas so that means it's hot 80% of the year. The park features a separate toddler and "big kid" playground, sand pit and toys for digging, and even a cute "library" where kids can take out a book and return it later. Love it! Just wish the ugly construction didn't cloud up the view of the sky. read more

Love this park. They have a restroom facility right near the Kid's country park, along with water fountains there. Also benches in case you need to rest after running. Lots of open space for playing in the grass. There's also beach volleyball and a basketball court! I see a lot of families bringing their kids out to play, and I love that. They have little duckies out in the huge lake, so you can bring your bread to feed them too. read more

Before, I was not into sports, exercising or biking. But a friend of mine brought me to Andy Brown Park to jog around and I thought, why not? When I first saw this beautiful creation upon residing in Coppell, I was really amazed by how nature can really give you a peace of mind. This is just a nice place to jog or walk around with some friends. One time, I brought my dog here and it was just a nice experience. This is really true when you jog or walk around sunset. LOVE THIS PARK!!!! I have been going since I was a child and now my niece and nephew go to play. Every time family comes to visit from out of town we always meet up here. There is everything to do here. It is HUGE, about 150 acres. Kids Country was just remodeled. They have picnic area under a pavilion, multiple ponds and at least one of them you can fish in, sand volleyball, basketball courts, walking trails, softball fields, recreational center that has an aquatic center. I hear they are about to redo a bunch of it but not exactly sure what they will be changing/adding. This park seriously has it all! read more

One of the better parks I've been too. They have a nice running trail around the lake that's about 1.5 miles, they have basketball courts and a children's play park. Also they have baseball fields and sand volleyball areas setup. Great place to just come and go for a jog / run your dog. read more

I really like this park it is so nice and it is perfect to enjoy with family and love ones. I just hope who ever mows the park he knows what he is doing because look what they did to the grass if I was in charge of the maintenance I will fired the landscape company or who ever is responsible. read more

I took my 5 year old daughter out here on a Saturday afternoon and she loved it. The park was very well maintained and we spent hours playing there. Next time I will bring a packed lunch but luckily there was a ice cream truck in the parking lot and a concession stand was there at the baseball during games. read more

Where are the water fountains and restrooms? If you are at the baseball fields off of Moore Road, you have to walk a half mile to reach a water fountain or a restroom. read more

An awesome park with everything kids want. We went on Saturday with our 2 boys 6&3 yr old. They played almost 2 hrs but didn't wanted to come back. It wasn't crowded ( new friend told it's always crowded). they had plenty of things to play around. Very happy to visit this park read more
