A very nicely developed and popular park in Coppell - it's apparent that the city really invested in this park with several beautiful pavilions, multiple sculptures, playgrounds, footbridges, landscaping, restrooms, lakeside platforms/decks, and nature trails. This park also connects to a longer greenway trail. There is something for everyone to enjoy at this park. The Biggest Perk: The lighted trails are open until 10pm for late-night exercise.

AB...you have really stepped it up over the YEARS!! In honor of Earth Day it is time for an update. This is one park that I will always and forever be a fan of. Fast forward from my last review in 2014 to now, the city of Coppell has really made sure that its residents fully enjoy the beauty of this park. It spreads out for miles and miles so whether you are a hiker, biker, rollerblader or runner you will get in a SOLID workout here. There are water fountains spread out throughout as well as air conditioned restrooms. They have a pavilion if you want to picnic and this area is also home to Camp Gladiator as well as other outdoor bootcamps. So be resourceful and look it up online if you want to jump in on some fun. Pretty much any time of day at this park you will find something going on. And not to be missed are the sunrises and/or sunsets that will take your breath away. As you can see I could write a four page letter with my adoration for AB but I will stop right here. Cheers to spring time and getting out more in the sunshine!!

This is a great park for exercise, walking and running and it's also very kid friendly. I think this walking and jogging trail is excellent for beginners as there are lots of ways to loop through so someone could easily do half a mile or 5 just depending on the goals of the workout. Today the trails were a bit flooded but with all of the rain I don't see how it could be helped. There is lots of wildlife, a frisbee golf course, sand volleyball and so much more.

Lots of paved trail to run on, great looking park, overall an amazing park to walk around, run, bike, or just chill. There are quite a few benches and a main pavilion, bridges, ponds, and it's located right next to the CORE. I sometimes run through Andy Brown in the morning and it's really nice. Bring your kids, your pets, your family and friends and enjoy a nice morning or afternoon at the park - weather permitting of course.

This playground is amazing. It's huge and it has everything you could ever want - swings, sandbox, climbing web, large small child area, walking trail around playground, and only one entrance in and out. I wish I lived closer - we'd be here ALL the time! Oh! And it's almost completely shaded! Best park ever.

Great park fork kids. Huge walking trial. Pavilion and tables for lunch! Plenty of grassy grounds for sports activities!

We had a great time with the kids (ages 3 & 5) at Andy Brown Park (East). The playground looks like a giant castle and is very large. There are lots of great, unique climbing elements for the kids to explore. There are also several shaded picnic tables that were clean and a great spot for lunch.

This park is amazing super awesome playground. The trails look beautiful and well maintained. Great community center with water park in the summer huge work out room. Best park I have ever been to.

My dad helped install the original "Kid Kountry" playground at Andy Brown Park in '92. My brother was 2 and I was 4 at the time of installation. When the playground was completed, each family could bring their kids up and have their handprints imprinted on a brick. Today, I was able to take my 2 year old niece to the same park and show her her 2 year old dada's handprint. It was an extremely special memory for me and I was so happy to see they were still there. We took a cute picture of her putting her hand in her dada's hand and you can see so much of my brother in her in it. Thank you guys for rebuilding it to last another 50+ years and keeping the original builders kids handprints along the sidewalk.

This is an amazing park for Coppell residents. There is something to do for everyone. The east side of the park has three ponds with jogging trails and the west side has soccer fields.

The playground itself ("Kid Country") is almost fully enclosed and is a sprawling assortment of things to climb up, swing on, and slide down.

Today I took my kids through the trails in the park for the first time in over a decade and was nearly aghast at how much canopy the city has removed. It appears the 2019 creek stabilization project nearly ruined the pristine beauty of this park. I've attached satellite images of the park before and after the stabilization project, and you can see just how much canopy the city removed as part of the renovations. They have replaced what was a beautiful, rugged, meandering set of trails with a nearly straight shot through the park on the north edge, decimating the canopy in the process all for a boring, uninventive gravel path. It seems reasonable to expect that some amount of foliage would have to be cut back as part of the creek stabilization process, but what I'm seeing today seems excessive and like it was a stylistic choice to provide an inoffensive, plain suburban walking path through the park as part of the renovations. That would be fine if it hadn't nearly ruined the rugged, dense foliage that made the original trails and creek area an unheralded gem of Coppell. The good news is Hunterwood Park is undaunted and, despite the neutering, is still a great oasis in Coppell. I do fear for the upcoming additional stabilization efforts, though, and what some middle-management parks department bureaucrat might do to strip this park of its remaining majesty.

There are three section-small dog, large dog & water. Be aware though-the small dog area gets a little swampy too when it rains a lot. All three sections are quite large and grassy (not muddy). There are plenty of poop bag stations, trash cans, water fountains and shady areas. The other pets and pet parents have always been wonderful and friendly. We have been to quite a few dog parks in the DFW area since moving here, and this is my favorite by far (and the dogs love it too). Note: To get to the dog park area, turn where the Carrollton Animal Shelter is-the dog park section is on the right just past the shelter.

Apparently people have flocked from there to come to McInnish Park and I'm sad to say, I'm one of those people. McInnish Park doesn't come up right away in searches when you're looking for dog parks so that's why it's a hidden gem. They have a good amount of parking and the standard separate sections for big and small dogs. But wait for.....there's a THIRD section.....ohhhh....ahhhhh.....ohhhhh! The third section is welcome to all pups and features a pond/lake/watering hole for your dogs to swim and play in! I have a six month old pup and while he's been in the water before, really had no idea that he would jump right in. Wrong I was. He could not get enough of the water and sadly I had to pay for it later while attempting to clean him off. The space is nice and heavily shaded so perfect for day time. You have your standard crazy dog people who like to camp out in the small dog section with camping chairs, coolers and cliques so be aware of that. Personally, I would rather socialize with the four legged friends.

Whoever thought of making this garden in the Parks and Recreation department deserves a round of applause. C'mon on out Leslie Knope! The garden is very charming and will make you feel like you just fell down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland. It provides the perfect locale for a small photo shoot, picnic, or small garden party. I came here in early April which unfortunately is either too early or too late in the season as many of the rose bushes weren't in bloom. I definitely want to keep tabs to see when the best time would be to come to see it in full bloom. Aside from the Rose Garden, this park also has a nice pond/canal, a large playground, and a short trail that offers lots of secluded picnic tables along the way. I'm certainly no expert about parks, but there are certain parks that you go to for different things. Some parks are great for cookouts, some are great for exercise or walking, and some are excellent for festivals or large events like concerts. This park is superb for picnics. There are so many quaint areas here that are ideal for getting out the picnic blanket and basket. Or if you just want to spend your lunch break eating outside with a good book, there are plenty of picnic tables to choose from that provide the serenity that you're seeking.
