    Pool area.

So glad to find a place so close to home where we can feel welcome and work out! Not to mention - we don't feel judged here!! It's clean and the staff is so friendly! There are so many adult programs and the swimming pool is so AMAZE. My husband and I signed up on the spot because of the pool alone. They have a mile ( I believe ) walk around area where you can walk or jog or whatever if you don't feel like lifting weights or swimming. The water park is amazing. I told my husband that we need to find children to bring here!! The weather was so perfect today and there were so many kids playing and having a good time. The FloMo resident fee is reasonable and there are so many different things you can do at the community center to stay involved. You can pay monthly or all at once for the year! We already love it!

This is a beautiful new dog park. It is extremely spacious with a separate park for small and large dogs, with an additional park for large dogs coming soon. There is a ton of space for the dogs to run. They put in seats so you can rest while your dog plays with other friendly dogs. Lots of garbage cans and plastic bags to clean up after little Fido. There are nice trees to give some shade. They even put in water fountain for people and your dog! Only negatives are no bathroom and the parking lot isn't huge. This is definitely a place your dog will love going. One of the bigger dog parks that I have been too and it's really pretty. Good job Flower Mound.

Umpires for Wednesday night Men's softball league in Flower Mound.
    Lauren S.

Do not EVER play in a men's softball league in the city of Flower Mound. Game time was 7:45. Eight guys were in the dug out and two guys were walking up (less than 100 feet away). The umpires called the game because not enough people were in the dug out. Even when the two guys stepped on the field, it was still 7:45. The umpires had a terrible attitude and said they did not care because "the rules are the rules." In 22 years of playing sports, competitively and in recreational leagues, I have never seen umpires so unapologetic and uncaring about a game played for fun. Do not waste your money on this league.

Pretty good facility overall. The weight lifting section is a little sparse, but otherwise I highly recommend.

It definitely keeps you on your toes in a different way. I love how the trail winds through the trees, opens up to peaceful lake views, and gives you just enough difficulty to make the scenery feel earned. I usually start near Murrell Park, and that stretch has some of the prettiest spots. Lots of quiet coves, shaded paths and little pockets where you can stop and just listen to the water. You'll see plenty of wildlife, too. I've run into deer more than once. The trail can get rocky and narrow in places especially with mountain bikers flying through, so staying alert is a must. It will definitely keep you engaged instead of just strolling on autopilot. What I appreciate most is how peaceful the hike feels even when others are out enjoying the trail. North Shore Trail always delivers a sense of calm and connection to nature.

Plus the well maintained trails and good amount of parking along the trails, this is a great spot if you're looking to get into nature without having to go too far. Andy Brown is a beautiful space, from the pond to the open fields, the sidewalk/bike path, multiple large pavilions, and fun playground. There are large, mature trees surrounding the park. We parked in the wrong lot and had to walk alongside the gym in order to get to the playground and I couldn't believe how beautiful the pathways were with all the trees and the small creek running alongside. Not what I expected from a city park! The playground itself ("Kid Country") is almost fully enclosed and is a sprawling assortment of things to climb up, swing on, and slide down. There is a play area in the toddler section with storefronts to spark pretend play. The ground is bark. There are large trees in the center of the play area that provide shade and make the play structure look more natural than your typical playground. Almost like a tree house. There are benches scattered throughout the play area and a large covered pavilion with multiple picnic tables underneath. The city of Coppell provides free WiFi there and there were multiple moms with laptops out, working, while their kids played. The only big negative is the distance from the playground to the bathroom. I understand that they probably built the bathrooms more toward the center of the park, but the wise choice would have been to also put an additional small restroom right next to the playground. It's too far of a walk for me to feel comfortable sending my younger kids over there alone and it's kind of a bummer to have to wrangle together the entire group every time one kid has to pee. Otherwise, a fabulous park. LOVE IT. Hats off to you, Coppell!

I inhaled my burger in 30 seconds because I had a game. Instead of putting in my order when he was suppose to, he chose to eat his first before putting my orders in. Then forgot about it and came back out to ask me again. I told two different guys the same order three different times. I told him twice and once more to the guy in the back. The burgers were salty when they came out! I asked him about my order after 30 mins past. He told me it'll be ready when it's ready. That's really awesome customer service, guys....NOT!

Once you look at the prices for an annual membership here (which I think is currently $35) it seems crazy that anyone would pay for a gym membership anywhere else! In the last three months I've taken a couple of different classes. I started with the crazy sounding cycleates, which was half pilates and half spin class. Turns out, I'm more into the pilates half of that equation so I've been taking pilates classes ever since. The instructor plays great music, the people are super friendly, and they provide everything you need as far as mats, weights, etc. I'm a bit of a germophobe, so I bring my own mat. The great thing is that classes are so reasonably priced! You can try out any class if you just want to stop in - I think prices for a single class range from $2 to $8, but you can find out detailed info about drop in prices on the Grapevine website. They have been super flexible with me about trying different levels and figuring out which class works best for me without charging me any extra. I'm a total cheapskate about paying for exercise classes and this is finally an option that is in my budget and doesn't make me feel like I'm being robbed blind. Is it a community center? Yes. Does it have the fancy amenities you would find at one of the chain gyms? No. So if you like working out in luxe surroundings, you probably won't be thrilled. But I'm not really too concerned with anything other than getting off my lazy ass and doing a workout that I enjoy, so this has been perfect for me!

I enjoyed how friendly the staff was in doing so. When I did join the lady that took our info and photo was very pleasant. Pretty good size place and more than a few things to offer. I enjoy the in door track the most. Have not tried the weights located down stairs, they are always being used at the time I come. I've only been here a few times and I can appreciate that it is family friendly. They are adult and child activities for those to sign up for classes. Which is a plus for me since I have two teenagers. The only thing I don't care for is when I am jogging in the indoor track parents allow their little ones to play ahead and not being watched. They get in the way of my work out. I don't know what the rules are up for this area but it would be nice for parents to keep an eye on their children running around when people as myself are trying to work out. So far so good. Ps. I understood that they will break ground for a indoor pool soon.
