There are also a lot of other things to do in this are now, so before or after we can go to the Epic Indoor Water Park or go play pickle ball at Chicken N Pickle. Great walking/running track inside. Lots of work out equipment/machines. Cross fit and other group fitness classes. Open basketball courts. Rooms for your company to have meetings in or to have a birthday party in. There are also art classes and a recording studio, just to list a couple other things you can take advantage of. Staff is really nice and helpful. Lots of parking as well. Get a membership here and take advantage of the many things you can do here. Support your city facilities to help better yourself!

Our only complaints, some staff are unable to answer our questions & point us to the website, which wasn't able to answer our question to start with... for example, one of the main reasons we joined, after visiting in person, was the summer camp. We went home to join & register online, as was suggested by staff (versus registering in person at the facility), to find out the summer camps were already full. You can't tell that the camps are full online, until you've already purchased a membership. Staff should have had knowledge of camps being at full capacity & been able to tell us that information during our tour of the facility. A plus for us, the family swim hours, swim lessons, & family changing areas. We also love the indoor walking track.

Didn't grow much though...There were rocks everywhere but I see they have cleaned up some. Bf cut his toe on one of the rocks during a game. The sand is not beach sand. It's construction sand...Sometimes it can get dirty with cigaret butts everywhere, empty beer bottles, dog poop, and random trash. I still have a couple of complaints: Their refs are not all on the same page. Some things are counted off and some are getting by with other refs. The blonde ref does not pay attention when she is working. She texts and drinks beer...not looking at the game. The bald ref counts EVERYTHING! if your hand is not completely together hitting a serve ball, you are done, son! he stops the game all the time and it gets annoying because we just want to play. We are not pros!!!! Another complaint is customer service: I ordered four burgers with my groupon. It took him 45 mins to bring them out. Ordered at 5:30pm, came out at 6:15pm. My game was at 6:15pm. I inhaled my burger in 30 seconds because I had a game. Instead of putting in my order when he was suppose to, he chose to eat his first before putting my orders in. Then forgot about it and came back out to ask me again. I told two different guys the same order three different times. I told him twice and once more to the guy in the back. The burgers were salty when they came out! I asked him about my order after 30 mins past. He told me it'll be ready when it's ready. That's really awesome customer service, guys....NOT!

Biggest bone to pick with Bahama Beach is they sometimes close without notice (such as the day after rain) without so much as a note on the door or an updated answering machine message. Today is such a day; I'll be taking my group across the street to Yucatan instead.

Andy Brown is a beautiful space, from the pond to the open fields, the sidewalk/bike path, multiple large pavilions, and fun playground. There are large, mature trees surrounding the park. We parked in the wrong lot and had to walk alongside the gym in order to get to the playground and I couldn't believe how beautiful the pathways were with all the trees and the small creek running alongside. Not what I expected from a city park! The playground itself ("Kid Country") is almost fully enclosed and is a sprawling assortment of things to climb up, swing on, and slide down. There is a play area in the toddler section with storefronts to spark pretend play. The ground is bark. There are large trees in the center of the play area that provide shade and make the play structure look more natural than your typical playground. Almost like a tree house. There are benches scattered throughout the play area and a large covered pavilion with multiple picnic tables underneath. The city of Coppell provides free WiFi there and there were multiple moms with laptops out, working, while their kids played. The only big negative is the distance from the playground to the bathroom. I understand that they probably built the bathrooms more toward the center of the park, but the wise choice would have been to also put an additional small restroom right next to the playground. It's too far of a walk for me to feel comfortable sending my younger kids over there alone and it's kind of a bummer to have to wrangle together the entire group every time one kid has to pee. Otherwise, a fabulous park. LOVE IT. Hats off to you, Coppell!

AMENITIES This park includes a dirt equestrian/biking/hiking trail, the wide, paved Campion Trail, a wide footbridge across a river, a few trailside exercise machines, and a couple of sports fields. ALL SEASONS We've enjoyed this park and trail through many seasons. ***IMPORTANT NOTES*** FLOODING AND CLOSURES: This park is heavily prone to flooding. Closures are frequent following rainy days. DO YOU LIKE DINOSAURS!? One of our more interesting experiences here was happening upon an alligator snapping turtle - a prehistoric, dinosaur-esque turtle which can be quite dangers - can chomp off a finger/toe in one bite! It seemed to have gotten disoriented following recent flooding and was on the paved Campion trail headed away from the water. CHOMP CHOMP As a bike went by, the turtle threw it's neck out so quick and so far and assertively CHOMPED at the bike - it gave a few of us who were trying to safely encourage it back to the water (from some distance) quite a scare! LESSONS FROM WILDLIFE: Keep a safe and respectful distance from wildlife - especially gnarly, prehistoric looking alligator snapping turtles!

When I stopped today, the weather was so nice, I started to take a walk down the trail. About a mile down, I saw a sign that read "Spring Trail Park". Apparently the trails connect multiple parks along the Campion Trail. I had never wandered down this far, so I had no idea! Down in the Spring Trail park area, it's kind of like BFT Park. The trail still runs along the canal. The scenery is awesome, especially on sunny days like today was. If the river is running pretty high, it actually runs over the trail, so cancel your walk if that's the case...don't try to cross it. There's a easy access walkway that leads to the trail next to the Irving Police station on Riverside Drive. You can also access it if you drive down a little further, go into the Bird's Fort Trail Park entrance, and take a little stroll that will connect. I'm going to definitely check a map out to see what other parks the Campion trail runs through. This is an awesome system for Irving...it really adds a lot of recreation opportunities and beauty to the city!

We went on a Wednesday afternoon right at opening (4 pm) and were the only patrons there at the time. Now, mostly everything was fine! Check in was quick and easy, drink ticket explanations were clear and because 4 people in our reservation didn't show up, we were able to get enhancements (the cards and knives) added! It was great! The place was very clean and organized. They offer beer on tap and delicious frozen hurricane drinks (they really were delicious)! They also offer basics concession items like small bags of chips but not much more. So if you're hungry, eat before or after going. Where the 3 stars come in were basically due to service issues. Upon check in, there were a few things that needed to be clarified regarding our reservation and the rep checking us in seemed to be a bit snappy with us at first. That really threw us off because it was our first time there. Once we entered the pit area, we were told that the jukebox was for everyone to use. So of course...we did just that. Again, we were there for a work event so our group was "mixed" so of course a mixed genre of music was to be expected. What we didn't expect was to barely be able to hear our music choices after a few songs were played. And yes, other groups of patrons were starting to come but when we were verbally expressing how we felt the music was lower due to song choices, it was audibly clear when the volume was adjusted to a louder volume. I don't know, it could have been us, but 7 people noticing the same is just uncommon and rose concerns. Maybe a fluke so I'd give it the benefit of doubt. Again, this was a shared experience between my coworkers and I. Overall, we DID have fun. The service issue and volume concerns were what really drove my rating down. I'd try another location because we discovered that it was a really fun experience!
