Well maintained dog park, never have to worry about stickers in my doods paws, but if it rains, it gets very muddy. They have a wash off area so that is a plus. Removed a star because there's hardly any shade making it miserable on a hot day. It could use more benches too. read more

I took my dog Coco here and she LOVES it. She's a small breed - Havanese & Pomeranian. But they have a small enclosed area for her to run in and she loves it! They also have the fountains for her and shade. I usually bring her with a ball and let her have at it for about an hour or so. I've only been one time when there were other dogs actually in her play area and they were sweet but just a little to rowdy for my girl. She's just used to playing with her ball and they wanted to play with her - so its no-ones fault! I will continue to let her stretch her legs here when able! read more

Lots of mud holes. City of Bedford doing their usual part to maintain their city parks. I'm closer to this park so I was hoping that I would like it. But I will continue to drive out of my way to visit better more well maintained dog parks. Fix the problems and I may be back. read more

Before flying back to California, my brothers and I took my husky puppy to Bedford Park. It was by far my least favorite dog park out of the whole trip, unfortunately. It was only a Sunday, but there was no one in either of the two fenced-in areas or elsewhere, for that matter. I appreciated the amount of green grass for Oz to frolic around in, as well as the concrete play structures that didn't look quite like they were for agility. Not many other amenities here. Benches for humans. No water bowls... The water fountain wasn't working at all. Super frustrating. At least there was plenty of parking. The advantage is for any dog that loves fetch. MORE than enough room to play games. It's relatively close to DFW airport which is why we came here, but I wouldn't come here again... There are others around that I much prefer. read more

Having Superbowl party plans, we needed to let the girls run off some steam before they spent a good part of the night in their "room" (crate). We found Bedford Bark Park and decided to check it out since it was nearby. Like most other dog parks they have two separate play areas; one for large dogs and one for small dogs. I'm a lover of all breeds, shapes, and sizes, but it does irritate me when people let their small dogs into the large dog area. Simply because they are setup that way for a reason. Some of the larger dogs may play too rough and not be able to handle small dogs which make owners nervous and defensive. This creates problems and takes time away from the pups being able to have fun. I also noticed that a LOT of people didn't pick up after their dogs in this park which is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. Especially when they keep well stocked cleaning stations throughout making it easy to do so. All that aside, the fenced area is quite large. They have a couple stone obstacles dogs can crawl inside or on top of, and two picnic tables for people to sit and watch (one is covered under a tent for shade). We met a few friendly people and enjoyed chatting while our girls ran around in circles. We accomplished our goal because they were out cold for the rest of the evening from pure exhaustion. It's great to have this as an option close to home, plus there is no entrance fee which is nice. If you prefer to walk your dogs, they have a trail right across the street that's perfect with plenty of cleaning stations and trash cans along the way. read more

Wonderful area. My dog had so much room to run and the other dogs in the large dog area were all having so much fun. Nice place to sit in the shade provide, fountain for both people and dogs. Only thing that marred the experience was a family came in with a toddler who came running towards the dogs and they, in their enthusiasm, knocked her down (she was ok but parents should think before putting a toddler in that situation). read more

This is a beautiful dog park, equipped with bench to sit in the sun, a picnic bench in the shade, two tunnels to practice agility course, plus my favorite a fire hydrant, even a lamp post, freshly planted trees for future shaded areas. How exciting for the babies to enjoy. read more

I have to say the best things about this park is it is reliably always open except a few hours Wednesday morning. It is a bit of a walk from parking lot to the gate with my 2 large puppies that can be difficult but at least I know it's not closed once I get there read more

Great little dog park with a small dog side and a big dog side. When we went, it was super quiet - maybe 4-5 dogs. There are a few 'obstacles' for the dogs to play on and some seating (shaded and unshaded) for the humans. read more

This dog park is a 10 minute walk from my house. I have three dogs a Pit Bull, a Boxer, and a tiny 4.5 lb Chihuahua. I do not feel comfortable taking the Chi into the big dog side so anytime I see the small dog side empty I take them in to enjoy an off leash stretch their legs since our fenced yard is mostly a pool with just a bit of grass. They love it and I always keep an eye on the gate to see if any small dog owners are approaching so I can leash mine and exit. So far 2 people have said they understand why I would use the the small dog side but I still leave when small dogs want to use it. read more

We like this park but the fleas are bad. Make sure that your dog is on flea meds. i think the euless one is better, bigger. this one has 2 areas. if it rains, the place floods. Other than that, i like it because it is close to my house and overall it is A-OK. read more

My dog loves coming to this place! It's nice have a place to take him that's so close where he can run around for awhile with other dogs. If I had written this review even a month or 2 ago I would have given it more stars. However, as of recently this place has really started to go down hill as far as upkeep. So many owners have stopped picking up after their pets. read more

My only complaint is we often have to leave earlier than planned because people do NOT respect the rules of keeping small and large dogs in their appropriate yards at the park. I have a smaller dog who doesn't do well around larger dogs. No one respects or enforces this rule and we end up having to leave because of their inconsideration. read more

Looks like a nice park. When it's not "Under Maintenance"... which it's been the last three times I went. Not to mention, there doesn't seem to be any reason. No one working on anything. Nothing going on. Certainly not any "maintenance" going on. There appears to be an enlcosed "Small" and "Large" areas. Water fountains when you walk in. But I couldn't tell you what the inside looks like however the outside is "ok" except for those ugly chains seemingly always on the doors. There is also a baseball and soccer park which both look to be gated as well and are OPEN but not for dogs apparently/unfortunately. I did see lots of people walking their dog AROUND the park. Lol. Maybe I'll try again in a few months but I'd recommend people check out Tipps Canine Hollow or Euless Dog Park (two near Bedford) for one that's reliably OPEN. Bedford Bark Park might be nice, but I obviously wouldn't know. read more

When it's open, this Bark Park can be fun for the dogs and for those who take them. Lately, it's been closed for almost 2 weeks, supposedly for some kind of renovations, but driving by it I see no change and no one working there. It's not nearly as beautiful or shaded as Euless's dog park at BearCreek, but this one is much closer to me, and I know the people who go there. After it rains, the low places have puddles, which should definitely be filled in, especially the one by the entry gate. Some of us would be willing to chip in some money if we could get real trees for shade; the ones that are there won't provide that for years to come. Thankfully, there is one covered area with tables. I've noticed several puppies lately, well under 4 months old; the city's regulations for this park say that is too young. Indeed it is, because even vaccinated puppies can still get parvovirus until the age of 4 months, with the virus present but not affecting those over 4 months. Parvovirus is deadly. In the late afternoons, many dogs are there which is fun for some dogs but intimidating to others. They need to be watched. Some people are attached to their cell phones or they socialize to the point they forget to watch to see when their dogs need to be picked up after or when they need more attention. That makes those of us who see dogs go potty look like bad guys if we tell them they need to go pick up after their dog. The Bark Park is fun for the dogs and good for all of us to get outside and enjoy each other's company as long as we are responsible. read more

I like this park except when it gets muddy I completely avoid it because the large side gets extremely muddy! I wish they would put gravel or something to prevent so many puddles! They are everywhere. Other than rainy days it's awesome! Also please remember to spay/nueter your pet. It ruins people's time at the park when your dog is humping every dog there. My dog doesn't like it. It's also irresponsible, there is no shortage of dogs. Make a difference! read more
