He also said it has just been completed and since not many people know it's ready it isn't as crowded as White's Branch Park. There is a tennis court, baseball field, basketball court, play equipment and splash pad (open Memorial Day to Labor Day, everyday except Wednesday starting at 10am). My kiddo was so excited to play today and no one else was here, so fun. I know by writing this review it'll attract more kids but that's okay, there's plenty of room for everyone to enjoy this space :)

Plus, it's located next to the Haltom City Rec Center so you have access to indoor basketball courts (though I'm not sure if you have to be a resident to use them). This park is almost perfect, till you see some areas that were either abandoned projects or vandalized equipment. But overall, the rest of the park is great.

There is plenty of seating for parents and clean restrooms nearby. There is a smaller, enclosed area for babies directly adjacent to the large indoor jungle gym. The playscape is located in the center of the church building. You can park at any entrance of the church in order to access the playscape. Just walk through the doors and toward the center. On a HOT Wednesday at 5pm, we were the only people there. There were a couple of people milling about the church, but not many, and if weren't for the hours being posted on the website I would have thought we made a mistake and showed up at closing. I seem to remember them having a cafe pre-COVID, but it was now closed (temporarily or permanently I'm not sure). I packed bagged dinners for my kids to eat in the car on the way there. I wrapped up a sandwich, chips, and a drink for my husband and I and we enjoyed a mini dinner date while the kids played. Fun for all! What it lacks in parking (you have to park on the side of the street), it makes up for in charm and serenity. This park is settled in a nice quiet part of the Oakhurst area, surrounded by very well landscaped homes, and is considered a gem to the community surrounding it (local events are sometimes held here, see URL attached). If you have small children, I encourage you to spend a nice afternoon there and have a picnic (charcoal grills and picnic tables are also available). Or if you picked up a sandwich from White Eagle Deli, I couldn't think of a more perfect spot to enjoy your lunch outside.
