Chisholm Park is a pretty darn nice park for any city; it's especially nice for this one ;-) First and foremost, my hat's off to the lifeguards that work here. Each and every one of them is dedicated, professional, diligent, and FAST! Over and above the lifeguards, the park is very clean and well maintained, which is a really good thing given that this is a place that most people wander around in barefoot ;-)

Chisholm Park is one of the best parks we have visited with our grandkids. They have a large play structure for kids over 5 & a 2nd play structure for kids under 5. They are well separated which is good for the younger kids. The larger slides are pretty good for the kids who like a thrill going faster. The play structures are covered and there are a lot of mature trees to give parents/grandparents shade. The cool thing about this park is the small lake in the middle. This provides kids an opportunity to walk around the park and see all kinds a geese and other water birds. For adults this park has more trails for jogging and walking. It is beautiful, the trails are high quality, the mature trees and the lake make this a great place to visit. There are some very interesting tree roots near the water edge th at I encourage people to check out.

I recently moved to the area and this is my favorite park so far! I loved seeing the ducks and geese! They are so cute! There is a large pretty pond, picnic area, walking trail, and even workout stations. This is a great place to walk your dog or even go on a romantic picnic date. If you are looking for an outdoor activity I would definitely suggest checking this place out.

This is my go to walk park, it's a mile with several different routes, mornings are really peaceful has fishing pond and clean bathrooms, picnic areas, large playroom and smaller one also, would like better lit trail at night and more than 1 restroom other than that hard to beat for walking, or enjoying time with family or pets

Chisholm Park is one of my favorite parks to go to in this area since it has a quaint pond and many activities to do. There's a playground with swing set, walking/running trail (Red trail: 1.1 miles, Blue trail: .25 mile), picnic pavilions, swimming pool (summers), volleyball and basketball court, and exercise activities (along the path). There's ducks in the pond and I'm presuming fish since I see people with small fishing poles every time I come here. Chisholm Park is a good place to take a stroll around or to just sit at the pond to enjoy the weather or absorb nature. The park is open from 6am to 10pm.

It's like this in many places, dead aquatic life, horrible smells, trash and the many many vultures that now live there. Sad.

So heartbroken about this park! Husband and I are in our forties, went here as children. We used to take our children here before we moved far away. We came back to the area and decided on an impromptu visit and we were shocked! What on earth has happened? There's the smell of death and or sewage. There's this "floating" film or whatever it is on the water in many places. Lots of dead fish floating. Oh man, the vultures. I guess they just live there now. Don't walk down the canal area because it's worse. Lots of trash, dead fish, muck and this large dead turtle that climbed up on the embankment and died. There's areas of lots of duck feathers on the ground where it look like maybe a duck got killed I guess. We just couldn't stay abs allow our children to play there without having concern for their health. Disgusting. Yeah hey kids wanna go see the dead fish & turtles, vultures, trash and enjoy the smell? Great picnic atmosphere! Or even a romantic walk. I don't know if any of this is officially a health hazard, but in a good service setting it is. This place has got picnic tables and children running and playing amongst this stuff.

Love everything about this park. Trees and tons of shade. Pavilions and picnic tables. A massive water park too. A great pond for fishing.

I grew up close by and have many great memories going to this park. After 15 years away I moved back 5 minutes away. I went to check it out this afternoon and nothing has changed. It is still a great park with people walking the trails, fishing, and feeding the ducks - just as I remembered it.

This is an okay park. It's nice but noisy and not very peaceful. Excess of duck and goose fecal matter everywhere

My grandson and I really enjoyed the park and trail around the water. The baby ducks were his favorite.

With the right weather it's honestly so peaceful and enjoyable and feels like you're on a little trip. Bring a picnic and play and hike and enjoy.

I will just give you the CliffNotes version in that the park is very clean - perfect for running/jogging, walking, and sitting around to enjoy the outdoors. Here's the new impression about how kid friendly it is. First off, I love their splash pad. The best part of it is it's free! We tend to go on cooler/cloudy days when the summer sun is not beating down on us. They have benches and tables for families to sit around the splash pad. You can't bring your pets or food to the area. After a lot of running and laughing, my son's eyes do get a little red from the chlorine, so wear glasses or goggles if you want to avoid this. Right next to the splash pad is the playground. I'm so glad that it is covered, so we can go when it's sunny outside, but not too hot. The playground is a good place for the kiddo to either warm up or cool down before the splash pad. I would say the splash pad is such a fun distraction that my son spends the majority of his time at the splash pad and the playground is just a second thought. It's never super crowded even on the weekends. Perfect amount of kids playing around. There's a nice private parking lot right next to the splash pad. I'll be back with the family again and again.
