The address/map is (still*) actually for Diamond Hill Park. I thought I was at Saunders Park ( https://www.yelp.com/biz/saunders-park-fort-worth ), but I was lost on the map (that is in the Diamond Hill Park, see picture). I was reading the map wrong. OK, I had no idea were I was, on the map. I'm going to try to sort this out on yelp, but Diamond Hill Park is here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/diamond-hill-park-fort-worth (I just added it, and reviewed it)
So, Saunders, is a little chunk of a park, below the streets of The Stockyards. It caught my eye as I was walking north on Main. I had just passed Exchange, looked down, and there it was, or rather part of it. Curiosity ensued.
Enter either just north of Cattlemen's Steakhouse on the east side of Main or via the path south of the Stockyards Station. Or Mule Alley.
The path passed UNDER Exchange, which was a surprise. I was enjoying the discovery so much I walked to the other end (on the west side of Main - There's not much there, but a lot of work is going on, so maybe it's going to get better).
More info on the park here - http://durangotexas.blogspot.com/2011/10/saunders-park-is-secret-hidden-gem-of.html
I don't think it's quit a "gem", but it is hidden, and has potential. Maybe the mess is a result of all the recent rains? It needs a good cleaning as there is a lot of trash around.
Looking at the map, there is a lot more exploring to do!
Bottom line: If you are in The Stockyards, it is worth a look.
